It's a demo, it doesn't really need to follow the 'canon' they set up for the main game. (spoilers ahead so be warned) . . . . . . . Hajime and Makoto are both in the game yes but they are people that Tsumugi can cosplay as and the only reason she can is cause they are supposedly fictional characters in the V3 setting. The story behind V3 is that the first 2 games are just that in the V3 setting, games. You end up learning that the V3 actually stands for 53 rather then Version 3 or stuff like that. It's supposed to be commentary on how people wanted more Danganronpa games cause it got so popular in this world that they ended up going beyond the games and making it into a reality show which ended up lasting until season 53. A show where real people got killed rather then fictional characters which is probably why the executions in this game are much more graphic and violent.
Actually I believe the demo is canon. Because it is also revealed that Tsumugi helped set up the killing game with team danganronpa. As such it is possible that Hajime, Makoto and Yasuhiro are all played by actors. So they could have just wiped the actual killing game participants memory of this ever happening, making this canon.
I wish they will made this game again in the future😢 After playing v3 i just want to play more of it So much fun if you not hear any spoil it't just so good to find the truth along with all characters.
why we gotta always have male protags, Kaede was a fresh start to something new but she ded in the first Chapt lmao, but seriously why did she need to die? I thought finally a girl protag (yes I know Komaru but she is in a spinoff game not an actual killing game) I really hope the next entry for Danganronpa will have a girl protag and actually stay as the protag for the whole game
