You don't need to be the best of 100 players.. you just need to kill the last guy. I won a match with 1 kill.... As a total beginner... I just played the game as I'd have in real life... avoid contact with anyone.. .just trying to get the basic gear and stealth my way through the circle and stay alive... Got the last kill after watching the 2 remaining people kill each other.. then I killed the last guy and won with only 1 kill. I'm far from the best... had a bunch of luck and was very careful.

Personally, I watch every one of my replays, and I've been noticing that people are hitting me when on the screen it looks like they're aiming a few feet to my right/left. I'm assuming it's just weirdness with the recording, because these weren't exactly people that were getting tons of kills.

Here's a tip from an arma3 br player, once you find loot and throughout the game pick up the ammo from an area to make it harder for someone who comes along after you to get equipped or need ammo for a gun they have. If I don't need the ammo I stockpiled I just drop it in random spots around the map making it harder for players to find.

@bippzone - don't buy MMO when they are still in their early stages. There are always huge optimization issues.. I did find that while the optimalization wasn't great, there are fairly few bugs and glitches compared to some other games I played.@gamesupport - I find it especially sad that the people who play King of the Kill don't even know that PU actually made their game too

The odds math at the beginning is so wrong. You don't have to be better than all 100 people. You're not going to fight with all 100 of them. Most of them will be killing each other without any relevance to your skill level.
I will say what annoys me about PUBG (after watching streamers) that people with very high-end, expensive PC's don't have many problems with FPS or performance. My rig is about $1300 (albeit 1.5 years old) but has seriously issues running the game; either through frame drops or overall low performance. The game definitely rewards people right now who are able to afford expensive PC's.
it's an early release. I don't think they made it a secret that the servers and client need a lot of work to make it run smoother, but it is already better than at its release and will continue to get better.

The FOV in first person is at the moment total unplayable! I really hope they fix that before releasing the Hardcore mode (i know they said they will introduce a FOV slider but they didn't specificy if this slider is for the FOV in 3. person or for 1. person).
Yeah, I agree it needs so much work. All my friends are talking about how excited they are for it and I keep saying maybe they should make it playable before centering a whole game mode around it.
What translated well to PUBG was the 25 rules to gunfighting; rules and guidelines to surviving firefights such as “If your shooting stance is good, you’re not using adequate cover.” and “If you’re in a fair fight, your tactics suck.” I recommend folks watch two-gun-and-run silhouette matches for tips on efficient use of cover. It’s the difference between victory and just another persons kill.

People can't play for shit, they are too dumb to learn, the hamsters that run their potato PCs are too old, and the devs don't have their shit together enough to just take away the option.
To be fair, my computer has one of the best video cards on the market right now and barely runs 60 fps on PUBG with all settings on "Very Low". The game is pretty poorly optimized, which will most likely be fixed (game IS in early access). I can play god damn Overwatch/League/ H1Z1(ew)/The Division(game's dead D=)/etc. all on highest settings with 60+ fps (fucking 300-400 fps on league but it's not demanding at all), and yet PUBG gives me barely 55-60 fps on very low. Turning the settings down is a necessity as of right now. Once optimization is fixed, removing the option to change foliage will be viable (and hopefully added). But until the game is optimized, foliage (grass and shit that u think ur hiding in when in reality, on someone with low graphics screen, you're fucking laying in the middle of a field screaming kill me) needs to stay a thing.
Can I ask if you are streaming or recording? I've read quite a number of comments about settings with good GPU and I have few problems with games in general. The only one that hogs by system is Ark'. I have a 4gb 970 and an i5 chip 16gigs Ram and my settings are all on Ultra apart from foliage. I've been contemplating upgrading my GPU but I'm not so sure.
I have a 970 as well (i7, 16Gigs), game seems to run fine for me too. I'd like a newer GPU as well but why not wait? the prices will go down a lot if you use the 970 another 6-12 months. Next gen cards may be out then as well.
A great beginner tip for out running the circle is just above the mini map it shows time till the circle starts moving in blue you are the running white guy icon and the safe area is the white dot on the right. It will also have a dotted line in the direction you need to go on the mini map. So out run that blue line!

SECOND game, i came forth by staying in my starting area the entire game, in fact basically the same house the entire game. i only killed 2 people. i spend most of my time trying to work out how to zoom in so i could use my red dot sight. I like the middle of the map now

I played a lot of Battlefield (all of them) and this game is so much fun. It's been a long time I had heart pumping action like this, it's totally worth the 30 bucks (I bought it for 30 Euro = 35 bucks and it's still worth it)
I would HIGHLY recommend that everyone consider signing up for the Wayward Realms kickstarter project. Basically it is an Unreal Engine 5 sequel to the 1990s Daggerfall RPG. I am super excited for this project. VERY unique RPG with crazy potential fun. Maybe with co-op multiplayer if they hit the maximum stretch goals

This game is a total waste of money, I regret buying it... it crashes whenever I play for like 3mins or more. Mobile version is even better than Xbox one version
They've changed the mechanic so when right-clicking items on the ground, your player will physically pick it up, whereas dragging and dropping doesn't cause the action. It ends up being quicker to drag and drop.
Pro tip: just bail outta the plane towards the middle, land in some rural group of houses snd pray for good loot. Most players gravitate towards cities or big land marks, especially towards the outskirts. This means you wont have to travel much when the circle closes in and gives you time to run around and loot random buildings on hillsides without having to worry about someone blowing your brains out with a pistol before you can grab a weapon
Simple way to get into #1 solo: 1) Find any weapon 2) Find a Car 3) Predict last circle location and go there in some building 4) Wait for a guy that will bring you all the good loot ( who will enter the building ) 5) Keep camping till there's only 1 guy left 6) Profit.
Damn that’s actually really smart reducing the graphics setting to low and maxing the resolution... plays would stick out like a soar thumb which is to bad since I love laying in the grass.
I'm pretty sure the damage mitigation provided by armor and helmets is unaffected by how much durability is left on the item. If it's only slightly damaged, I say it's worth picking up a higher level item.
AKM and M416 take very similar shots to kill at close range, while the M416 has a much higher rate of fire, meaning, in many situations the M416 has a better TTK, and when it doesn't, it is very close, assuming you never miss, if you do, the M416 rate of fire gives you a significant advantage.
Note with the circle that it get worse each time. The first two you can survive outside for a while, the third will hurt and from then on it will chunk your health big time.
Nothing worse than running for 25 minutes, seeing no other players and dying to the storm.

Remember that you pick stuff up quicker if you open your inventory and drag it (There is no animation). It does not matter on drops/bodies.

I have a 4770k so older cpu than you and a gtx1060 6GB, my game runs fine even with OBS on.

I can play god damn Overwatch/League/ H1Z1(ew)/The Division(game's dead D=)/etc. all on highest settings with 60+ fps (fucking 300-400 fps on league but it's not demanding at all), and yet PUBG gives me barely 55-60 fps on very low. Turning the settings down is a necessity as of right now. Once optimization is fixed, removing the option to change foliage will be viable (and hopefully added). But until the game is optimized, foliage (grass and shit that u think ur hiding in when in reality, on someone with low graphics screen, you're fucking laying in the middle of a field screaming kill me) needs to stay a thing.
Can I ask if you are streaming or recording? I've read quite a number of comments about settings with good GPU and I have few problems with games in general. The only one that hogs by system is Ark'. I have a 4gb 970 and an i5 chip 16gigs Ram and my settings are all on Ultra apart from foliage. I've been contemplating upgrading my GPU but I'm not so sure.
I have a 970 as well (i7, 16Gigs), game seems to run fine for me too. I'd like a newer GPU as well but why not wait? the prices will go down a lot if you use the 970 another 6-12 months. Next gen cards may be out then as well.
A great beginner tip for out running the circle is just above the mini map it shows time till the circle starts moving in blue you are the running white guy icon and the safe area is the white dot on the right. It will also have a dotted line in the direction you need to go on the mini map. So out run that blue line!

Played two solo rounds so far. Laid low and made it to 38/68 in #1, got killed within minutes in game number 2. Learning curve is STEEP as FUCK!
SECOND game, i came forth by staying in my starting area the entire game, in fact basically the same house the entire game. i only killed 2 people. i spend most of my time trying to work out how to zoom in so i could use my red dot sight. I like the middle of the map now

I played a lot of Battlefield (all of them) and this game is so much fun. It's been a long time I had heart pumping action like this, it's totally worth the 30 bucks (I bought it for 30 Euro = 35 bucks and it's still worth it)

I would HIGHLY recommend that everyone consider signing up for the Wayward Realms kickstarter project. Basically it is an Unreal Engine 5 sequel to the 1990s Daggerfall RPG. I am super excited for this project. VERY unique RPG with crazy potential fun. Maybe with co-op multiplayer if they hit the maximum stretch goals

I pray to God there's a way to disable cross-play, cause if i'm being honest I don't feel like dying every round to some sweaty ass PC player who has 2000+ hours on the game, 100% accuracy at any range, and Ultra low graphic settings. Also don't get me started on hackers those mofo's are ALL OVER Gears of War 4 with their damn aimbots...

They've changed the mechanic so when right-clicking items on the ground, your player will physically pick it up, whereas dragging and dropping doesn't cause the action. It ends up being quicker to drag and drop.
Pro tip: just bail outta the plane towards the middle, land in some rural group of houses snd pray for good loot. Most players gravitate towards cities or big land marks, especially towards the outskirts. This means you wont have to travel much when the circle closes in and gives you time to run around and loot random buildings on hillsides without having to worry about someone blowing your brains out with a pistol before you can grab a weapon

Simple way to get into #1 solo:
1) Find any weapon
2) Find a Car
3) Predict last circle location and go there in some building
4) Wait for a guy that will bring you all the good loot ( who will enter the building )
5) Keep camping till there's only 1 guy left
6) Profit.
Damn that’s actually really smart reducing the graphics setting to low and maxing the resolution... plays would stick out like a soar thumb which is to bad since I love laying in the grass.

I'm pretty sure the damage mitigation provided by armor and helmets is unaffected by how much durability is left on the item. If it's only slightly damaged, I say it's worth picking up a higher level item.

crazy how long and how far this game has come, and im still playing today.
AKM and M416 take very similar shots to kill at close range, while the M416 has a much higher rate of fire, meaning, in many situations the M416 has a better TTK, and when it doesn't, it is very close, assuming you never miss, if you do, the M416 rate of fire gives you a significant advantage.
Note with the circle that it get worse each time. The first two you can survive outside for a while, the third will hurt and from then on it will chunk your health big time.
