Man I’ve seen you guys twice. Once in Shreveport Louisiana with Disturbed and Killswitch Engage and in Dallas at a massive festival. It was like 120 degrees in the middle of the Texas Sun, y’all brought out water guns and threw down hard on Black Heart. Great times.

I'm glad to see this cause it shows our hero's are not perfect.. z I have had to remeber songs I had already learned to.. even know I work out of town I got band practice in a week and I am gonna have to practice the day before till I get a small amp to take on the road with me

I messaged many many years ago about the Pass Out amps used. Glad to hear the puzzle was finally solved.
I never found out about cabinets though, so I assumed Mesas w/ V30's.

band is still so damn underrated.... The riffs and tunes you guys made were just so damn good and STILL stand the test of time, even going back to the first EP 25 years ago back when slipknot was just starting with Corey..... i cant believe some of the songs like Divination and Painting the White to Grey exist from the same band and mostly same members that went on to do all the other things for the next 12 years, and then a whole new rendition in 2013 for Crown of Phantoms

If other members practice with these backing tracks, you could go the extra mile and make a "cue" track (with all the count-ins, song section announcement). This is very time-consuming to do (especially at the beginning when figuring it out) but it pays off in the end when you have to rehearse songs often.
Wow remembering watching you guys at the (what is not there anymore) Mean Fiddler in Totenham court road, London. And watching Rob using his Boss GT6 or the GT8 pedal board, watching from the balconies back in 2008. Epic!!!!

@rob arnold : curious to why you don't reference the original studio versions (including lowpassing so that you hear mostly the root notes) when you're unsure of certain notes :)

As I have gotten older I started using picks with a good grip, like the Hetfield White Fang pickups. That was the first sign, I kept dropping the pick when doing tremolo picking and so forth. Have you also felt that the stuff you played 20 years ago drained stamina faster or is it just me? :D Great video as usual :)

I'd say my stamina was definitely greater back in the day, because I was playing so much more. Literally every night. But nowadays, I think I've gained a greater understanding of the guitar.
At any rate, with some vigorous practice, I can usually get back into shape in no time. 💪🎸
@@RobArnoldWorld well as I wrote. When trying to play the same riffs as I did 20 years ago I found that I needed to change my picks and alter my technique a bit. Mostly because my stamina wasn't the same. English isn't my main language so my grammar might be a bit weird. 😅

This is hilarious! Reminds me of my times in the rehearsal room, with my band mates. Counting the frets "One, two, three, four..." and "I got this!!.. I fucked it up though.." 🤣 Oh, and Chimaira was a huge influence for me and my friend, back in the day. I still spin almost all of the albums, and they sound as great as ever!
