    This is a poor test with a bare speaker. As the diaphragm moves forward compressing the air at the front the pressure at the rear is reduced. The effect of this is to make the sound thin and tinny with much reduced bass. A speaker needs to be in an enclosure to keep these two opposing sound waves separated. You could say it’s like an audio short circuit. Some speaker enclosures are completely sealed while others have a tuned length of pipe connected to a rear port known as a bass reflex port for better bass.

    You usually have to solder a 3-4inch wire onto the Bluetooth PCB antenna to get rid of the noise you experience. It's an easy fix on these cheap boards.

    • @TheDradge
      @TheDradge 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@TheRealBobbysmile not really. I'm an electronic engineer. I just do it myself. Basically take a 3 inch length of insulated single core wire (it's more rigid and can be bent where you want it). Solder it to the end of the Bluetooth antenna on the board. The antenna is the zigzag shaped trace (the inverted F antenna). It dramatically reduces noise from these cheap boards.

    i bought the smallest one that is 12w r , 12w l , sounds god damn good , but sure is loud as at startup you have no volume controle, beside that, its pretty nice , i used speakers from 2 dead boomboxes , speakers were A1 so its a nice cheap project with recycled parts , i also used recycled cables from the boomboxes i recycled , great quality stuff even tho its from the 80's , thinking about it, its 40 years old speakers and its still beating some new ones lol

    Your test speaker is operating in free air which is not how the speaker was designed to work. Sound quality and output are poor. You have two desktop speakers in front of you, why not use them for testing instead.

    I dont know why you guys dont use speaker cabinets? Its not possible to measure the quality of sound with just a woofer on the table. This kind of test requires an acoustic box with a woofer, a silk dome tweeter and a passive crossover board. Also, when testing bluetooth boards you need to take some distance, a few meters, to see if the card does not lose connection and interrupts the sound.

    hi, i have daisy chained some tao tronics bluetooth transmitters, only to lose one half of the audio signal when i did. i found that i could get stereo with multiple transmitters, if i had only one bluetooth headphone paired to it. i think it may be the quality of the splitter im using. but my ask to you is, is there a way to see the channels that each transmitter is using when pairing? i havent been able to find any type of multi unit BT transmitter, and tao tronics hasnt been able to tell me how to get inside their devices. maybe theres a way to build something that will be configurable to the point of limiting BT channels to specific transmitters? maybe even being able to have confidence when unpairing a BT headset, without relying on device code lights on the transmitter. i figured that there could be some way to make a device that can transmit to more than 2 BT devices, by using more than one transmitter.
    thanks

And there is a TH-cam channel showing it on the dyno. And it was my first board that I bought without even looking at TH-cam. @@LeftyMaker The voice! I remember watching your reviews as a teen when I was deciding on which phones to buy :). Sorry in case ppl mention it a lot, this is the first time I've stumbled upon your channel, very interesting!

      That's cool! You're actually the first one to say they recognized me. I still work at PA, just doing very different stuff now, and TH-cam is just for fun. Hope you like the videos and thanks for watching! :)

    Myślę że masz zepsuty głośnik o 8 ohm ma być 4ohm a najlepiej 2ohm moduły grają w klasie d i dziwek jest czysty i klarowny naprawdę można się zdziwić.

    So none are usable?

    • @LeftyMaker
      @LeftyMaker  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only the two I linked to in the description are kind of okay. Not perfect, but good enough. But I can only recommend using them with 8 ohms because they don't have a heatsink and get warm.

      @@LeftyMaker I have received some of these just yesterday:
      www.aliexpress.com/item/32985655660.html
      $1.50 a pop.
      Very decent audio quality, no weird language, only a 1-second long tone when powered on and when paired.
      Can recommend.
      EDIT: also tested the one with integrated stereo 5W amplifier. Issues to report:
      1. there is nothing in low end frequency. Kinda understandable why they did it, as there are no caps on 5V rail to support the current peaks.
      2. pops and clicks between audio tracks, or between words and sentences on a podcast. Looks like it enters some kind of sleep mode when there's a silence for half a second, and the switching is poorly implemented, likely on AC coupling between receiver and amplifier chips.
      The headphone one seems pretty decent though.

    I believe that to remove that annoying voice you will have to change the bluetooth chip
