I found almost my MCM stuff at yard sales. Jewelry, too. Of course it's 111⁰ right now, so maybe not .... First thing for any room is find the largest piece you need first, like sofa or bed/dresser. That's your central point and slowly add complementary pieces from there. It took me 4 years to find the perfect hanging lamp for my dining room. And like someone said, use color, like on that huge blank wall. You don't need to put up loads of paintings and shit. Just paint the one wall with a color that matches that room's scheme. Good luck.
Change the hardware on your bedroom dresser and you can get the vibe you are looking for. Maybe match the hardware of the piece you found in Thrift and Thrive. Also look for Big Art for that bedroom wall. A 5 ft x 5 ft picture. A lot of small things tend to make a room look cluttered. IMHO ADD COLOR ACCENTS
I would put your couch back as a doorway coming in. Face the fireplace. Move the mirror to the big wall in your bedroom. Put a small breakfast table with two chairs by the window in that nook area. Remember if you want antiques that couch isn’t going to go. I love it though. Looks like mine from crate and barrel.
- Xmas tree way too big for a tiny space. - Love your mirror but consider putting it above the fireplace, turn horizontal - Get a 7x10 area rug to create the space, sofa will sit on about 1/3 of the rug - 3-5 long table runners to hang on the wall behind the TV as a focus/feature wall (Velcro removal wall-friendly picture frame tape) and its apartment friendly. - Hang 2 large B&W picture frames above the sofa (but also consider area rugs to hang instead of frames - it’s unique and you can find some pretty prints)
Have you thought about a shower curtain pic on your bedroom wall. It's cottage vibes would blend well with a shower curtain that has the cow head, whimsical and cute and has size for wall.
Saver's, in Alaska, are the best thrift stores I've ever seen. Anchorage, Fairbanks and Wasilla. All were, by far, the best thrift stores. Even "The Free Box" in Talketna, which is FREE
Hi! I just happened across your video! I'm trying to furnish my house too and I've checked out 3 Vintage Chicks, Everything Goes, and Then Again all on Cave Creek Road between Sweetwater (north of Cactus/Thunderbird and Peoria Rd) and Another Time Around on Bell Rd and approx 28th street. I've found a few things like an antique teak stool, adirondack lawn chairs, and a TV console but it's a process of searching continuously until I find what i want. And I can't really articulate what I'm looking for specifically other than I'll know when I see it! LOL!
Take the mirror you have by the tree and put it on the wall opposite of the tree. It will make the room look bigger. The pictures over you bed aren't big enough. Get a bigger picture or some kind of art to hang over your bed, it will draw the eye above the bed and you can put those on the wall of your bathroom. That dresser would look nice with new hardware and paint under the mirror in your living room. Swap out the bathroom mirror for the one with the dresser if possible. Those large mirrors are gorgeous. Put those on that wall in your bedroom, mirrors opposite windows make the room look bigger. If your going to keep the pole, you need really nice chairs around it and maybe a small circular table between them for drinks while 'viewing' 😅. And a large picture or something over the couch. Just suggestions, no shade at all. I love interior design and you can make that space beautiful ❤ oh and the playboy pictures must go in the same room as the pole! Lol
When I wish this was FB so I could give you furniture layout, room plans. Inspo pictures and items to buy. I assume you've shopped the retail. Have you done the tour of outlets? Yes, the West side has options. We have the PB outlet. But East Valley has an Anthropologie C&B and RH outlets... but you need a plan. And I can help. Find me on the book of faces or try the group Home Decorating Tips, Tricks & Inspiration. Im always there...
Hi tucson here My decor is things I've gotten throughout my life. Everything has a story (where i was who i was with when i got it) mostly thrift stores I dont want a room that looks like you got it at Rooms to go
@@southwestsampler next to Lowes’ on McDowell and Dysart - The Brass Armadillo - And any of the St. Vincent De Paul stores. In Sun City on 107th and Peoria, there are several thrifts. And a worthy one is Four Paws in Youngtown, on Michigan/111th Ave.
Putting thrift stores on social media is a GREAT way for it to no longer be good to find items that are quality and at low prices. Both Goodwill and Savers are no longer good thrift stores because of social media and re-sellers. If you know of a good thrift store in your area, you keep it that way by putting your stupid camera down and just enjoying the store.
While your comment may be good intentioned (although I'm honestly not even sure that's the case?), the tone and insult you used left your message falling VERY flat. No one likes to be insulted, especially by a stranger. You could have simply suggested that it's a good idea in the future to be discrete when shopping in thrift stores and avoid video taping so they retain their charm and purpose without mass commercialization. Lead with kindness, it's not hard.
@jessawyer77 while your comment may be good intentioned....why does it matter to you what I have to say or how I say it? I don't personally care if you don't like the tone of my opinion or if I lead with kindness or not. I personally am tired of "influncers" and the many, many things they have ruined. You are correct, no one likes to be insulted, that is why I was careful not to do so. I did not reference the OP at all, so you can drop that line of garbage you are putting words there that are simply not there. Get over yourself and realize people have the right to have an opinion and have a right to put it across any way they want. If you don't like it 🤷 (oh well)
@@southwestsamplerI would stay away from anywhere that appears trendy (all 3 of those places are in trendy areas capitalizing on the new trend of people “thrifting” for furniture). I wouldn’t “thrift” anywhere in the trendy central phoenix areas, they’ve all been gentrified into trendy “thrift” stores where prices are more expensive than buying new furniture (the circuit on 7th ave between Indian school-camelback, Indian school-camelback between 15th ave and Scottsdale rd and boutiques in old town Scottsdale). If you’re looking to thrift pieces for thrift prices I’ve found deals in some Goodwill locations, estate sales and OfferUp
Just found your channel, i cant wait to see the updates.
Oh yay!!! I am so happy to have you here 🙌🏼🥰
I live in Arizona and will check these places out! You are right, new items are made cheap.
Let me know if you find any others stores worth checking out, too!! :)
The best place I’ve found for furniture is Kiwanis in Cave Creek. High end stuff at bargain prices. Nice people, volunteer run.
Second this! One of my clients volunteers there and last I heard from him was Wed/Sat is 50% off but someone recently told me it switched to Fri/Sat
I suggest consignment. Phoenix and Scottsdale have tons.

Nice!! I like this :) thank you!!
The variety of textures in the H Q D U P S pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something
for everyone.

I think hanging up the tv would give it more of a modern new home vibe

I’d love that too! I have to start somewhere but I have been picking up things as I go now :)
Try Turn Style Consignment..or My Sisters Attic in Scottsdale…they have a combo of furniture, and home goods.😁
Those aren't thrift stores. Consignment/antique is going to be more expensive.
Eclectic style is beautiful 😊
You should go to the the place in the Valentines cafe space on 7th Ave and Indian school.
Indian School Thrift
Yeah it’s in a sketchy area but you will be fine also the finds there are sooooo good and the prices are even better
Oooo good to know!! Thank you 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Have you been to Merchant Square in Chandler?
I haven’t yet but it on my list to do :)
@@southwestsampler you'll love it. The restaurant in there is to die for.
When you move from there can you tell me which apartments these are? I can't find any with all carpet anymore :(
Yes I can!! Remind me if you see that I’ve moved lol
you need to keep a book or graph paper wirh measurements
Nice!! Looks like a fun little house!!! I wanna see u do a workout with the pole haha 😉
Not happening but thank you for watching!
@@southwestsampler haha all good!
Accumulating pieces takes time. You dont just go and furnish a space perfectly in a weekend or even a month or a year.
You should check out the west side of town … much better pricing!
Some stores to check out? :)

$130 for that red chair is wayyyyyy to expensive for something they got for free !!! Ridiculous highway robbery !!

Slow down I get dizzy too fast, no hurry.
Keep up 👏

Thank everyone’s short attention span for that one 🤪🤪

All 3 of them are more expensive than regular furniture stores so how is this “thrifting?”
Idk do you have any other thrift store suggestions? I’m new to this so advice would be helpful
