Anthony Bourdain was and remains the GOAT. I have a copy of his book, Kitchen Confidential. Pre-HRT, I worked in restaurants so I found Bourdain's book relatable.
Imagine being a cook/restaurant owner and Mark comes in to try your dishes, and after Mark puts the food in his mouth and he doesnt make the hmmmmmmm sound and do his legendary head tilt to the right. How bad would you feel since Mark literally likes everything he tastes.
To see you interact with one of my favourite tv chefs (Andrew Zimmern) and pay homage to my other favourite (Anthony Bourdain), I just love how respectful you are. I recently watched the New Jersey episode of Parts Unknown during my marathon of the show, so it feels like Anthony was there just yesterday 😢
Oh Mark, you are literally THE ONLY HUMAN ALIVE that could do this food trail justice. The respect you show for EVERY type of food and its culture root is only comparable to Anthony Bourdain himself. I'm sure he's somewhere in the afterlife feeling happy that its YOU doing this. ❤️
Sonny from Best Ever Food Review is amazing as well. Mark and Sonny both focus heavily on the culture and are both very appreciative of what they are eating.
Mark, I love your shows. I have been watching for a few years now. FYI, when you're eating clams on the half shell, that means you're eating fresh shucked raw clams that have been opened and served with the top half shell removed. Hence the term "eating clams on the half shell!" I live off a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. I have enjoyed seafood all of my life. Every summer as a young child the whole family would vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. One day we would go claming. We tie a string to a bushel basket that was put in an inner tube from a car tire and tie to our belt loop. We had special claming rakes and would clam in the bayside of Ocean City, Maryland. I love eating clams. I ate some, like 5 days ago. I enjoy them both raw and steamed. The most I ever ate at one time was 76 steamed clams!!!!!!
Thank you for featuring Anthony's food tour in your video. He was a trailblazer as far as food, culture and travel videos. If It was not for him I may not have discovered your amazing food adventures! Stay safe Mark, and thanks for sharing!

RIP Anthony Bourdain - Amazing Segment Mark Wiens we want to see you in the Hamptons , Montauk Point , all over Long Island , Brooklyn , Queens , and Arthur Avenue the Bronx , NYC
Yes to Arthur Avenue in The Bronx! Too few realize the amount of Mom & Pop Italian food shops and restaurants are there. It is NY’s most authentic Little Italy!!! 🇮🇹
Man I miss Anthony and his presence on the screen. His knowledge was crazy and always had a million stories. This is so cool you are paying homage respect per say to him. Awesome!
Anthony was the Master of Travel!! Thanks for doing this Mark, I knew you would be a big fan of his. Even the music is similar to what he would of had on the show!! Keep it up Mark.......and family!
I’m so glad you had an opportunity to explore my home state and all the wonders that the most densely populated state in the country has to offer from congested urban areas to vast open farms

Thank you, Mark, for doing this! Anthony Bourdain is missed so much. But, appreciate you doing this tour in honor of him, even the music was Bourdain-style!
Soooooo incredibly excited that you’re here and honoring Anthony’s food tour while you’re here in NJ. As a fan and being a NJ native that lives 15 minutes from Asbury Park, I can’t even tell you how cool this is🙌🏻amazing awesomeness.
Thank you for doing this and it’s amazing to see NJ through your eyes and palette ! I’ve lived in NJ my whole life , right across Manhattan , and have much respect for Anthony Bourdain. Definitely a different culture and a proud culture here . Can’t wait to see episode 2 and 3 .
Mark, thanking you for more AMAZING content as always! Your positivity and smile is so infectious your brilliant! Take care dude, watching all the way in England x
Welcome to my home state of NJ Mark! There are so many underrated places to eat here in NJ. Being so close to NY, there is a good variety of different cuisines available throughout the state (be it Middle Eastern, Indian, and good old diner comfort food). Great to see you honoring Anthony Bourdain as well.

"Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life-and travel-leaves marks on you." - Anthony Bourdain
I was stationed at Fort Monmouth, NJ next to Eatontown, NJ for my U.S. Army AIT training in Strategic Microwave Communication Systems Operation & Repair Specialist Tech, MOS 26V for the last 6 months of 1970. I have been to Newark, NJ , Elizabeth Town,NJ, Red Banks, NJ , Long Beach, NJ and The Boardwalk . I seen and been through a lot of the tourist attractions along the New Jersey coast. Very pretty area and I enjoyed NJ a lot ! My First and Best Sub sandwich in my life was served to me at a well known Sub Sandwich Shop in Eatontown right outside and across from the Main Gate of Fort Monmouth ! Man were they so good !
Awesome video! I’m Jersey Girl close by Fort Lee from where you started your tour! Love love love this video! Food looked fabulous! Your excitement and praise of the food and state make me proud! ❤️ you Mark! Keep Eating 😉
Mark I love this idea! Bourdain is legend and I definitely saw all his episodes. I also look at you as a food/culture/travel/people ambassador and it's great that you're giving respect to him. I'm from Jersey, and this episode especially hits... smiles throughout the whole episodes. Yes we are proud and we have our own culture. Not many people know about New Jersey (they mostly know the stereotypical stuff) but I'm glad you are showing the good side. Can't wait to see the next episodes in this series. Just FYI, I started my YT food review channel (quit my my to go all in), and although there were many (including Bourdain) you were my primary inspiration. One day I wish to meet with you and have a nice meal with you lol. That would be so sick. Just wanted to share this with you because I am one of those that have literally turned my life around to pursue my passion. I used to watch Bourdain all the time and it's a shame he's no longer around but then I discovered your channel and instantly resonated with you and your style and your genuinity. With Jesus in my heart, steering my life from now on, I know I can make this work and succeed at it just as you did.
Hey Jason, awesome to hear from you, and thank you for sharing, wow really appreciate it. Would be great to meet you sometime - do you still live in Jersey now? Keep up with the videos, and hope to hang out sometime soon!
@@MarkWiens Yes I am still here! South Jersey! Thanks for your kind words Mark and the words of encouragement! Hahaha I'm smiling right now! I would love to hang out! I can meet anywhere in the North East so if you are open to it I can meet you where ever! DC/MD/DE/NJ/NYC/Philly etc.
I’ve read and watched everything AB ever did. Your videos are so much more real, upbeat and informative than anything AB did. You show us food, people and places as if we were there. AB’s shows (especially the CNN ones) were trying to be some kind of food travel cinema. You keep doing you Mark, that’s what the world needs to see. BTW, the best pizza in the NJ/metro NYC are is Arturo’s in Maplewood and their sister restaurant Razza in Jersey City.
Anthony Bourdain was one of my fave food travelers.. He's very humble.. I missed his vlogs. Lord, may he rest in peace. *Depression is real.*

Imagine being a cook/restaurant owner and Mark comes in to try your dishes, and after Mark puts the food in his mouth and he doesnt make the hmmmmmmm sound and do his legendary head tilt to the right. How bad would you feel since Mark literally likes everything he tastes.
Not really. Why did he post about the food that he didn’t like?
The truth is that Mark doesn't need to show us the bad times of eating, and yes if he did, there would probably be a lawsuit that followed.🙄
So happy you're doing the AB Trail, great adventure in NJ!
Micah and Ying must have a lot of patience going from restaurant to restaurant to film supporting Mark!! 🥰 the food looked amazing
Best job in the world, right? She could be working at a factory in Thailand. That might actually be difficult.
they have a lot of $$$$$ patience
I second that!!!!
No doubt, Mark has honoured and appreciated Anthony Bourdain with respect.
I want to do this too!
There’s no such thing as doing justice by copying another man’s work !
Thank you for doing this! I had to pause it a couple of times to wipe the tears. Much respect to you Mark.. RIP Anthony Bourdain.
Thank you for featuring Anthony's food tour in your video. He was a trailblazer as far as food, culture and travel videos. If It was not for him I may not have discovered your amazing food adventures! Stay safe Mark, and thanks for sharing!
The legend Anthony Bourdain I loved his show, he was a amazing person RIP. You remind me of him Mark you are real and humble just like he was. Thank you for everything you do and sharing it with all of us. Blessings Love Oneness Livivity 🙏😊❤💚💛
That steak looked fantastic. I've not yet watched any of Bourdain's shows but I will check them out for sure
Boy are you in for a treat.
As a NJ native I’m so happy you did this , I have unfortunately been forced to move to Florida due to spousal oppression , but seeing this just fills me with such good nostalgia, so glad you went to knife and fork , my absolute favorite in Atlantic City
Nobody forced you, you made that choice
RIP Anthony Bourdain - Amazing Segment Mark Wiens we want to see you in the Hamptons , Montauk Point , all over Long Island , Brooklyn , Queens , and Arthur Avenue the Bronx , NYC
Yes to Arthur Avenue in The Bronx! Too few realize the amount of Mom & Pop Italian food shops and restaurants are there. It is NY’s most authentic Little Italy!!! 🇮🇹
Wonderful homage to Anthony Bourdain and a nice tour of the Jersey coast.
Man I miss Anthony and his presence on the screen. His knowledge was crazy and always had a million stories. This is so cool you are paying homage respect per say to him. Awesome!
I'm thinking Anthony is smiling down at this and wishing he were here to share this with Mark and the rest of us!
@@emintey I totally agree. I wish now I would of went to his show/talk in St Louis a few years ago and met him. Such an interesting man.
Jw
What a great tribute to Anthony. I hardly ever missed his shows. He was so unique. Looking forward to your tour Mark. Enjoy!
Anthony Bourdain was a divine legend. The Michael Jordan of Culinary and my personal favorite all-around human being of all-time 🐐!!!!!!❤❤❤
Anthony Bourdain deserves a movie showcasing his life.
At least he didn't set himself on fire
Anthony was the Master of Travel!! Thanks for doing this Mark, I knew you would be a big fan of his. Even the music is similar to what he would of had on the show!! Keep it up Mark.......and family!
I’m so glad you had an opportunity to explore my home state and all the wonders that the most densely populated state in the country has to offer from congested urban areas to vast open farms

I commented not too long ago that I hope Mark came to NJ! A lot of ppl don’t know just how phenomenal our food is. The freshest produce, the most amazing fresh seafood, authentic restaurants from all countries. Man, I am pumped 😆👏🏼
Thank you, Mark, for doing this! Anthony Bourdain is missed so much. But, appreciate you doing this tour in honor of him, even the music was Bourdain-style!
JERSEY STAND UP!!!!!! 🔥🔥

I love NJ 💟💟
Hey don’t forget Philly some of the best food in the world lol we definitely are spoiled here in south jersey
Thank you very much Edward, love the diversity and variety!
There are two more days of worth of content and he can't visit every restaurant in the state
He is the happiest man alive when it comes to food ❤
Huge fooking shout out to the kitchen staff/chefs at Kive n Fork. Do it boys ! Much love from Buffalo NY

"Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life-and travel-leaves marks on you."

Wonderful quote.
I’m a young mexican stoner trying to make it out the hood by doing reaction videos on my TH-cam channel 😅
What I love is how much Mark can eat, and he never gains a single pound!!! Love the streams Mark!!!
I share the same admiration for Mark, trim body, and eat a lot. Good formula huh!
Awesome 👍
Appreciate your support DJ!
Shout out to the workers in the back that are usually people of color or immigrants. There the ones making all that delicious food you get to eat. ❤️
love the way you keep smiling and laughing all through the videos while going through the details of the foods. great job bro.
