Valve cover gasket and prior times it's been done. Doesn't help the exhaust stud is missing and you have had a breech for quite some time, that led to fuel dumping down and vanishing up, soot and unspent gas, but it is obvious that the gasket was compromised, you probably need to do a pcv valve too. You make decent oil pressure?

Oil pressure is reading where it needs to be at idle and while accelerating. I checked the PCV valve and it works as well.

@@Izzys_Autosone thing I'd do is a vcg, the oil can get into the threads if it isn't torqued correctly. I constantly remind all my L series friends how important it is to be at spec. And when the studs have rust. Just replace them- speaking from experience , the end hangers carry alot of weight of the exhaust manifold and those will fatigue and won't torque right anymore. It's 40+ years old. Every time I do a manifold gasket on em I do new hardware, its also important to use the right sized intake manifold bolts to their co- responding ports. There's a high side for the intake bolts, and a low side. Short on the low side, long bolts where it's high, you can Crack the head and let oil breech . The head gasket could very well be a thing too. They are known for leaking, especially an oem gasket. If I were you- when you do a vcg check the head bolts in sequence , they can and will come loose as well. And if you do the manifold or head gaskets, always use copper spray. It helps from exhaust breaching into the intake, and on the hg itself it's really really helpful to keep from oil leaking. Learned that from Josh Martin and it's helped all of my sealing issues via L.

@@Izzys_Autos also. If those head bolts are loose, fsm says you can just tighten it and you'll be fine but I wouldn't trust that for my life. And make sure to use plenty of penetrant on the studs if you do em too. They can and very well WILL snap. It's not fun when it happens too. An absolute nightmare sometimes. I usually end up doing a cold sert and keep the oem thread size. If you go up it won't fit the manifold anymore unless it's at the sides. Even then it's usually un even clamping force and it can be a pain. Best of luck!!

@@_blinkerfluid thank you for the help! I managed to get them all out and am in the process of reassembling everything. I’ll be posting a video about it soon. Thanks again!
