Most of the ocean clips are from Children of the Sea, a film so beautiful that I wondered if it was possible to combine it with One Piece in this way (no offense to the OP anime lol). The movie also has a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, so I had to crop and zoom the OP clips to fit with that. I tried to keep some of it uncropped though by duplicating and mirroring clips to elongate them. And for some scenes, like Sanji's All Blue-smile, I simply masked out the character and replaced the background. Most of the close-ups were impossible to mask though, as they would have to be redrawn beyond the frame. But I kinda like the extreme close-up shots for an emotional video like this.
Oh and there's so much I wanna say about my thought process while making this, but I struggle with words so that will probably take a while to write (lmao this is why I make edits). So, enjoy the crispy 4k snonji and loofi

Yeah no I’m still losing my mind over the rapid fire of images and memories and feelings and it’s all so _intense_ you can barely keep up, there’s swimming fish and grey steel and a desolate rock and cold stares and someone is drowning but there’s the All Blue and sea turtles and you can see the sunlight above if only you can _reach it._ Absolutely beautiful. It gets better every time I watch it.
This story is so damn beautiful BUT fans like you that go the extra mile to focus on certain parts, you guys make my heart so happy. Please keep up the good work. You are appreciated ❤

I think you did a fantastic job incorporating the Children of the Sea scenes! I've never watched One Piece but I'm a big fan of Steven Universe so I'm already pretty emotionally attached to this song 🤣 I could feel how you wanted the song to reflect the relationship of the two characters, so great job on that part too!

Thank you so much! I always watch my favorite AMVs at 0,5 speed to take notes, but I don’t watch a lot of anime besides One Piece so it’s hard for me to tell if something is an effect or in the original clip lol.
I’m glad you liked the blend of OP and Children of the Sea, I was worried it would look too jarring since the animation styles are very different but I honestly think the upscaling helped a lot by giving everything a crispy look haha!

This is too much. This is the fourth video I have watched from your channel, and none of them is any less than INCREDIBLE!!!
I want to describe more, the way each one touched a soft spot in my heart, the way I want to forget them so I can enjoy watching them again for the first time, and the surprise I experienced in each video. I know this song and the "Finale" song, yet matching them to Sanji's character like that caught me off guard. They are beautifully edited, so smoothly, matching the lyrics and rhythm is insane! Matching and recontextualizing lyrics is definitely one of my favorite aspects of AMV making, and it's something I put a lot of thought into. I'm so glad my vids could give you a new experience with these songs! Knowing about One Piece has definitely changed how I perceive music I'm already familiar with. It's like having a crush on someone and suddenly every song is about them LOL. I think it's also a testament to Oda's incredible writing, the complexity of his characters makes them perfect for fitting into any narrative within a song lyric :')
I edit all of my videos in Premiere Pro, but I also rely on After Effects and Photoshop for certain tasks. Thanks again for taking the time to write such a heartwarming comment. You've made my day!
