Good video. I used a 9 volt power source and everything works just fine. It brought my 1992 door opener into the 21st century!

Thank you so much. This is much better than the manufacturer's videos, which want to show you every feature and every combination imaginable.
A bonus feature of this receiver is that it includes a 2nd channel for a 2nd garage door.

Thanks for the video! I just got done wiring a solid remote to our two garage door openers. I ended up using the exisiting 24 volts that was powering the original receiver, so no need to wire in an external power supply. The opener itself has 24vac on the terminals for the dead receiver. It was just a matter of taking a multimeter and finding which terminal was the 24v.

Hi. I do have existing 24v outputs but the receiver starts to make noise like it’s two positives I connect it to. Is this an ac/dc issue ?

Hi! I tried to use the 24v output of the Garage but this receiver started to make a buzzing sound. Could it be that the garage motor delivers ac and the receiver needs dc?

How far could the receiver get the signal?

Hooked it up at the opener, remotes work but the wall button no longer works. Returned to original condition and the wall button now works. Any thoughts?

Wrong m8 if you used 12v you have to have 12v 10amp adapter to carry the power to left the shutter up read the paper you have cos the amp you have will burn shortly.

You’re going to have to dumb this way down for me to understand. This has worked for the past 2 years for me no problems

The 10 amps refers to the current that the relay contacts can handle. "Relay dry contacts are rated 10 amps resistive load and 6 amps @ 14 volts inductive load." *
The receiver draws: "10mA during idle with an extra 100 mA per relay if these are on. This info is on their help website." *
Amazon sells a 12v 2A adaptor that they list on the 202U product page as a suggested companion for the purchase.

According to the specs, and to this video, it does not matter. It has a smart power supply.
Caveat: I have not ordered mine yet, so this is _not_ the voice of experience talking.
