    I get asked quite often how to start a slow living lifestyle and how I slow down in daily life so wanted to share some of my wise words with you all today!     Another quick and easy way to unwind without a full bath or shower is to place a hot compress on the base/back of your neck. It is SO calming and soothing; like someone just placed a hand there...so comforting.

    I live on a farm in south west Scotland. If I can I sit outside early in the morning with my coffee and just listen to nature and watch the birds on the feeder. It hasnt been easy this year because its been so cold, but its getting better and those mornings on my own to just relax are getting nearer. It sets me up for the day. I love your videos and so glad I found your channel.

    Absolutely loved that you shared ways to work with the elements as ways of healing! :D I follow Ayurveda and earth based traditions so they are a huge part of my life. I work with the elements and weather for these purposes so much. On a really rough work day, if there is a good strong wind on the walk home from the train, I stand with my arms wide and visualize the wind blowing through all my spaces between my cells and blowing all the yuck away lol. Cleansing on an energetic level, which also does wonders for the mindset too. I do the same with water in the shower. I would love to be able to walk barefoot in the grass areas but.... heehee... to many don't pick up after their fur babies, and sadly party in these beautiful spaces and leave broken glass behind. So I work with 'earth' grounding using my Forest Walk Salt blends :). Fire is amazing for calming my mind, and helping me go into a meditative space. Space/Ether is definitely a tricky one to thing of. For me it definitely ties into spiritual work, breathwork, meditation, and even releasing toxins through a good cry heehee. I love the idea of simply changing your physical space! gives you a different view/perspective in a way! I am weird about structure. I need lists. I need a plan, just doing that stops some anxiety for me. But, I don't stress not following it in the end. Having a plan helps, but definitely flexibility to adapt to new ideas or circumstances that come up during the week/month helps. If that makes sense? I suck at the water thing lol. And I do see how it affects my internal functions, heehee tmi. :P. I have started to start my day with a hottish glass of water with my herbal tinctures in the morning as part of an Ayurvedic morning routine. It's definitely made a difference!     I work retail. I definitely have to be over flexible. So taking time and slowing down is a goal for me. Lately I am to stressed. We have moved and now have a deck. I plan to spend a lot of time there. And walking does help. Thank you forvthe reminder to look for the positive.

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ways of simple intentional living. I like to have a flexible routine, both at work and at home.
    Self care is vital for our very existence, and the best quality of life. We need to fill our own tank, before we can give to others.
    We have a 'circle of self care' at work, to check in with each other, in a safe space, as to how we are travelling today, and any issues in the workplace. Takes only about 10 minutes, but is a valuable investment in each other.
