People who keep telling you that the lyrics of these songs are not a part of the story line are caught in a lie. They may not seem to on a surface level but the story is reflected in the lyrics. What's more, there are quite a few songs that are not thought to connect to the story line that in fact are also a part of the whole damn thing. Who ever came up with this concept is friggin genius.
he did all his own lyrics. and admitted it was about always punishing himself because he felt he was nvr good enough in his dance singing and performances. actually saying "I am not good enough I failed I made mistakes". the last quote and they are all quotes from their songs says,,,i am trapped inside I am dead. that one is from the Save Me song. you are doing well. thx for your reaction
This song is really complex. From a musical standpoint, the whole song is in minor except for the “caught in a lie” which is in major. It was clearly intentional and quite poetic because the way the keys changed was so abrupt and ingenuine similar to a lie. The song tone is very sinister to embody the voice in Jimins head telling him he wasn’t good enough. Jimin himself struggles a lot with not feeling good enough, and despite the people supporting him, he can’t help but believe that voice in his head. That is just a lyric analysis, there’s a whole theory side that I won’t get into. Lie and Stigma, and awake are my personal favs from this series because I’m a sucker for tearjerkers. Sorry for the book I just wrote lol.
I don't think Save me is connected to this song in particular, but they do have a song called save me and another called I'm fine. In fake love on the wall is written "Save Me" but if you flip it it says "I'm Fine" so those two songs are connected, they also share a similar beat.
I think the beat was actually reversed I think? Like Save Me is the 'original' version, and 'I'm Fine' is the 'flip side' of it so they reversed the beat which gives it a similar feel while also somehow being more upbeat? I don't know music well so I don't know. I think there was a reactor who mentioned it? (someone that is also a producer) I don't remember it well... o_o
Jimin did write the lyrics. It's just he used be very insecure and I really hope isn't anymore. He used to starve himself, eat like once in ten days and used to practice until he passed out. He believed so much in perfection, he had to do things until he thought he was perfect. So I think this illusion of perfection is what he is talking about and this image of perfection he has in his mind is a form of lie and he wants to come out of this lie. But hopefully as time passed and with help of his members and family he has understood that he is perfect the way he is and is now spending time outside the practice room and goes out with friends... This song holds so much emotions, you can feel it every time he sings it. But now the boy has started to love himself.
Ok I'm back. From my understanding Jimin's lie is to himself of who he's pretending to be. He was as a barely debuted teen only looked at for his looks and abs and so he felt like that was the image be was expected to show. For the song, I actually leanred this from classic musicians reacr, the key is in a minor which is like the darker sound , when he sings caught in a lie, its a fake major, still a minor so your ears play a trick on you, like if it was a lie. The tempo also shows as the 123 count you did but its a different tempo making it a second lie. Musically this song is genius. P.s.s. might be wrong about my interpretation of the song but Jimin biases know more lol

The untranslated text at the end says "I'm trapped inside myself and I'm dead." This is a lyric from their song Save Me. The first text "Show me the way, please stop me, let me breathe" is a lyric from Run. Most of these texts that appear in the Wings short films are from BTS song lyrics.
I'm so happy that the comments are explaining the meaning behind the lyrics of the song, each of the solo was written by each of the members (which you mentioned you knew) it's personal to them, so we saw Jungkook deciding to write about his members in begin and then Jimin writing about not being honest with himself and his insecurities (linked with his body image and self depreciation), I won't give you spoilers for the rest, but the personal nature of the songs is something I loved about these solos because they told you so much about the members. I think of it as the lyrics are personal to them and the MVs are linked to the storyline but at the same time you can link the lyrics to the storyline because they're essentially still playing themselves in the storyline just with a different back story. I also love that you're reacting to their habits in between, I'm eagerly waiting for the next upload
i have always related to jimin. this song makes me feel even closer to him. he's doing much better now, though, thank god. around this time he struggled, especially with his weight. i think he's kind of referring to himself, in that he's punishing himself.
I'm pretty sure the lie he's caught in refers to the voice inside his head telling him he's a failure and he's not good enough. He knows it's not true but that voice won't leave him alone and he wants to be saved from it.
Actually, tbh this is my favorite song from the wings era. Because I relate to it more. I was lets just say not eating and if I eat I would puke it up. The lyrics such as “it keeps happening even though I run away.” Like that explains my situation, and honestly it’s a comfort. It’s a comfort to know that I’m not the only one going through this and there ARE people who actually GETS through this. And it gives me hope that I will get out of this “hell” 💜
About the pairings. They are double pairings, one that goes through whole storyline: Jimin-Jhope, Rm-V,Suga-Jungkook. And also pairings from Blood Sweat & Tears. Jimin is with Suga. That’s why burning piano appears twice. Rm is with Jungkook, you will see it after in short films, V is with JHope
Some symbolism that's easy to miss. The Apple could represent temptation and sin, such as in the story Adam and Eve or Snow White. Eva is a character from Demian (which the album Wings is based off of), who is the mother of Demian and is supposed to embody warmth and kindness in the story.

I were so excited to watch this I almost watched it at work. Pre-debut Jimin entered Busan High School of Arts as the top student in modern dance, so that's probably why it sounds to theatrical, this song suits him so well. Blood Sweat & Tears and Lie (the whole album, really) were what made me an ARMY lol. I remember feeling so shocked when i listened to this track for the first time.. "Is this Kpop??!" and I've been listening to Kmusic since maybe 2007. It really surprised me..I had goosebumps with this song. The strings in the background idk it makes you feel so empowered. Yes, they have a song called SAVE ME. SAVE ME / "I'm Fine" (as in the MVs Fake Love and Love Yourself "Her": Highlight Reel) In his last album there is a song titled "I'm fine" that at first sounds like Save Me.
The Notes should be read after all the videos but before the webtoon. Since the webtoon tells us the truth of what is going on you need the background on the guys and their relationships before you dive into that. They are all connected tangentially because they are friends and this whole story, so pieces can show up in other films.

On the MV, I believe the sign says Arboretum... And in the Bible, the apple represents knowledge (of good and evil). Also, that foggy forest appears again and again. It's actually in Fake Love. When Jimin is in that room with the sink, if you slow the video down you'll see that it's a dance studio and the foggy forest is painted on one wall.

In that particular style comes up several times and if you look at it upside down, it says I’m fine, which is another bts song that is kinda connected to save me? Just remember each video is showing you not only that characters signature symbols but other symbols you will eventually see in the other short films. Connecting some of the characters to one another. Loved how you picked up on J-hope so quickly. =D You will understand some of the connections more once you watch all the short films. they actually had a choreo for this mv which they never officially released, but you can find it on youtube when they were recording it. the dance by jimin in that is so damn vicious, prolly the best dance he ever did as a solo. he dances for only 2 to 3 minutes and he still gets exhausted. i think you should definitely check it out!

If you have a chance, you should watch Classical Musicians react to Lie. They really examine the instrumentation and, not sure how well I remember this, they say that the chord changes reinforce the whole lie thing. Apparently, the musical choices made were very impressive. (btw, waltzing to this would be hilarious to see... just the juxtaposition of light, happy dancing to this dark, dark song.) Also, I want to say that I like the format you're using. I really hate it when people react to several diff videos in one reaction. That gives no time to discuss each one or even appreciate each one. 1) In my opinion, the lyrics to this song go so well with the webtoon. I'm sure you will understand when you get to reading that. 2) Please keep going the way you have. Yes, the films are short, but I really like how you are presenting each one. Brilliant idea that hasn't been done before. Just an idea for the future... instead of watching all 7 after watching each individually, why not go through the rest of the journey and do a marathon at the end by watching everything again and reading the diary entries? There is so much that is missed by just watching everything once. I understand if you can't due to time constraints. Just a thought. 3) Save Me is a song from BTS as well. I highly recommend reacting to it and I'm Fine at the same time. Yes, V did have "Save Me" written on the wall behind him in Fake Love. If you turn that upside down, it reads "I'm Fine". 4) Fun fact: Did you know that, of the BTS group, Jimin has the highest voice. Jungkook can get fairly high as well, but Jimin is the highest. 5) I don't think their new comeback will have anything to do with the story. This is because they needed to have the story finished by the time their contracts ran out. Luckily for ARMY, all the members of BTS have renewed their contract with BigHit. If the comeback has anything to do with the story, it will probably be a continuation. I don't see them doing much as a full group in the upcoming years either. I believe Jin is entering the military next year, and Yoongi possibly soon after. 6) Pay attention to the pairings and who's circle is which. I believe they correlate as something happens to each pairing. Pay extra attention to Jin. What he does and how he responds. Who and what he interacts with. Everything is important.

The scene with the sign is from the Notes. It isn't made clear, but what the Notes do say is that when JM was young, he got lost during a school trip there and ended up in the back room which was where he experienced "his trauma." That's all the info we're given about it. Later, the boys are heading somewhere (can't recall if it was the same place) and JM sees that sign and he becomes pale and frightened. The others notice and suggest they go to the sea instead. That's all you really know about what happened to JM in the storyline.
Not sure if somebody else said this but The Notes started being released as booklets in the Love Yourself trilogy of albums: Her, Tear and Answer. There were 4 different versions for each album and each one contained a different Notes booklet which makes a total of 12 booklets. The Highlight Reels short was released before the Tear album so you can watch that before reading the notes xD At this point The Notes book has also been released; I didn't get my copy yet so I can't confirm if the contents are exactly the same as what was released with the booklets, but I thought it was important to mention if you want to read them also seeing how it's the official translation. That said, I really enjoy how perceptive you are on these. Jimin's my bias too so I enjoyed it a lot! The others already mentioned what he tried to convey in Lie so I'm not gonna add up to that, but what I can say without spoiling is that you'll see more connections as you go through the short films, especially what "eva" refers to. I feel like you're so totally gonna have an "OOOOOH!!" moment again. lol (and many more to come) The next short movie is especially heartbreaking.

It's alright lol the only way you can actually get a good grasp on things is watching the BU mvs (they give a picture for everything) then reading the Notes (they don't tell everything, just fill in the holes in parts of the MV and better insight) and then the Webtoon (it shows everything visually and written tho it doesn't have the different pov insight that Notes have so if you really want the whole story, looking into all three is the best way.)

Classicalmusiciansreact/reacttothek do have a FANTASTIC take on the musicality of this song. As a trained musician I enjoyed all of their reactions (and open-mindedness) but the Lie reaction was one of the best. You don't need to react to it but you might enjoy watching it.
You're on point with the theories. I think it was in the RUN MV he did tried to kill himself by sinking himself into the tub.The way this short film connects to the storyline is that he is in the hospital and there is a part in the storyline that he mentioned he lied to the doctor by saying that he doesn't remember what happened. The sign you saw that says Flower arboretum as someone has mentioned, it was said in the storyline that he was with his classmates there and something happened in the arboretum. Someone has this theory on Twitter about him and Yoongi being opposing forces? Like there is an incorrect pair but needs to be corrected in order to save each other, something like that.

after wings short films, Blood Sweat & Tears mv then Love Yourself Highlight Reel (watch the 13 minutes vid. it just combined all the videos together), after that comes Euphoria : Theme of LOVE YOURSELF Wonder. As for the notes, it helps u to understand more and get u deep in the story, but I don't know when is the right time to read it 😂 , I think u can read them all together if u searched in yt "bts the notes full" it will show a long vid. instead of searching for them online, maybe u can read them after the wings or after Euphoria (if anyone know correct me ^^)..
I'm not sure if someone already told you or not, but there is more than one connection between characters. Jimin is connected with J-Hope but later we found out through the notes that he also has a connection with Suga. Jungkook also connected with Namjoon and so on. Sorry for my English :)
Jimin is most likely talking about his 'lie' of the voices inside his head saying he is not good enough... anyone with depression, eating disorder, anyhting that keeps telling you over and over that you are not 'enough' will relate. and we all know about Jimin's eating habit, especially from that time he only ate 2 chicken breast every 10 days, though he sais he dont do that anymore. that kind of behaviour dont come out of nowhere. As a person who has had an eating disorder, to actually starve for 10 days without solid foods is actually hell, and you have heard that voice telling you shit for a long time before you go that far. And we all know about his insecurities about his voice and being able to keeping it stable, wich is not easy on the notes he keeps hitting. That is my take on his lyrics atleast.

I havent finished watching it but ill give you some info! 1) he is paired with Jhope so in the shortfilm there are two beds in the hospital he is in, the empty bed is jhope's 2) the lie is his, he told a lie but he keep lying and he cant get away anymore 3) the adress has a meaning for his story but still we dont know anything about what happened, we just know that after jimin went there he become suicidal? 4) the way he keeps showing us the painting is like he still is living in the lie, its not a true forest, still he keeps making the camera record it 5) thats painting could be the adress, maybe he was in the forest? 6) you know the story of adan and Eva and how the snake made eva and adan eat and apple, well here the apple represents the lie and the sins, but still about jimin story we know the least, we know about most of the members storys but jimin's still really unknown, we dont have so many clues about him or why did he went to that place or what happened, i dont know if its expleined in the notes because i didnt read them (they are in korean 😅) and i need to watch the videos of the notes translated 7) jimin is often using a blindfold in Blood Sweat and tears era (WINGS album) in Lie and BS&T japanese and korean version he uses it. Just because you love choreography, I’d recommend you to watch the “bangtan bomb Jimin Lie” that BANGTANTV uploaded. It’s the full choreography of the song, he never did the full choreography live, but they uploaded the full version for the short film anyway! Maybe you’d just like to watch it in your spare time, it’s such a complicated choreo and it shows just how much of a professional dancer Jimin really is

The lyrics to this song are still open for interpretation. Jimin has never come out and said if they are about anything particular. Lots of fans speculate that they have to do with issues Jimin might have with his self image, but I think it's rude to speculate if he hasn't commented on it himself. Even RM in his album review (every new album usually at least one member will do like an hour long live stream review, usually a rap line member who are heavily involved in producing, and tell back stories or talk about lyrics) but even in the review for this album all RM said was he was sure Jimin had a story behind the lyrics but even he wasn't sure what it was. Usually he goes into more details even about other member's songs the fact he left it at that always suggested to me that ARMY should too and love the song and appreciate lyrics in how they might relate to our own lives, but not try and theorize about why they were written

People who keep telling you that the lyrics of these songs are not a part of the story line are caught in a lie. They may not seem to on a surface level but the story is reflected in the lyrics. What's more, there are quite a few songs that are not thought to connect to the story line that in fact are also a part of the whole damn thing. Who ever came up with this concept is friggin genius.

This song is really complex. From a musical standpoint, the whole song is in minor except for the “caught in a lie” which is in major. It was clearly intentional and quite poetic because the way the keys changed was so abrupt and ingenuine similar to a lie. The song tone is very sinister to embody the voice in Jimins head telling him he wasn’t good enough. Jimin himself struggles a lot with not feeling good enough, and despite the people supporting him, he can’t help but believe that voice in his head. That is just a lyric analysis, there’s a whole theory side that I won’t get into. Lie and Stigma, and awake are my personal favs from this series because I’m a sucker for tearjerkers. Sorry for the book I just wrote lol.

I don't think Save me is connected to this song in particular, but they do have a song called save me and another called I'm fine. In fake love on the wall is written "Save Me" but if you flip it it says "I'm Fine" so those two songs are connected, they also share a similar beat.
I think the beat was actually reversed I think? Like Save Me is the 'original' version, and 'I'm Fine' is the 'flip side' of it so they reversed the beat which gives it a similar feel while also somehow being more upbeat? I don't know music well so I don't know. I think there was a reactor who mentioned it? (someone that is also a producer)

Jimin did write the lyrics. It's just he used be very insecure and I really hope isn't anymore. He used to starve himself, eat like once in ten days and used to practice until he passed out. He believed so much in perfection, he had to do things until he thought he was perfect. So I think this illusion of perfection is what he is talking about and this image of perfection he has in his mind is a form of lie and he wants to come out of this lie. But hopefully as time passed and with help of his members and family he has understood that he is perfect the way he is and is now spending time outside the practice room and goes out with friends... This song holds so much emotions, you can feel it every time he sings it. But now the boy has started to love himself.

Ok I'm back. From my understanding Jimin's lie is to himself of who he's pretending to be. He was as a barely debuted teen only looked at for his looks and abs and so he felt like that was the image be was expected to show.
For the song, I actually leanred this from classic musicians reacr, the key is in a minor which is like the darker sound , when he sings caught in a lie, its a fake major, still a minor so your ears play a trick on you, like if it was a lie. The tempo also shows as the 123 count you did but its a different tempo making it a second lie. Musically this song is genius.

I'm so happy that the comments are explaining the meaning behind the lyrics of the song, each of the solo was written by each of the members (which you mentioned you knew) it's personal to them, so we saw Jungkook deciding to write about his members in begin and then Jimin writing about not being honest with himself and his insecurities (linked with his body image and self depreciation), I won't give you spoilers for the rest, but the personal nature of the songs is something I loved about these solos because they told you so much about the members.
I think of it as the lyrics are personal to them and the MVs are linked to the storyline but at the same time you can link the lyrics to the storyline because they're essentially still playing themselves in the storyline just with a different back story.

Actually, tbh this is my favorite song from the wings era. Because I relate to it more. I was lets just say not eating and if I eat I would puke it up. The lyrics such as “it keeps happening even though I run away.” Like that explains my situation, and honestly it’s a comfort. It’s a comfort to know that I’m not the only one going through this and there ARE people who actually GETS through this. And it gives me hope that I will get out of this “hell” 💜

I were so excited to watch this I almost watched it at work. Pre-debut Jimin entered Busan High School of Arts as the top student in modern dance, so that's probably why it sounds to theatrical, this song suits him so well.

Save me is a song. And that writing? In that particular style comes up several times and if you look at it upside down, it says I’m fine, which is another bts song that is kinda connected to save me? Some bts songs are pairs, like they share the same beat or sth, like they produced 2 songs from the same demo kinda thing? Happened with Love Maze and Dimple too. Anyways. Yes the lyrics are written by the members. I always interpreted it as Jimin’s own lie that he created for himself about this perfect image and now can’t escape from. We know that Jimin struggled with body image issues and being a perfectionist so i think it was his lie, not someone else’s.

I reaaaly love the performance of this song. It’s so beautiful. Actually you know Taemin right? From Shinee? Kai’s best friend? They have a group of friends that im pretty sure you know coz i sent you how Sungwoon explained they came to be with detailed charts etc? Taemin and Jimin actually did a collaboration stage in kbs 2016. Where jimin danced to lie first, then taemin, then both of them. It was so epic, two of the best dancers in kpop coming together. they actually had a choreo for this mv which they never officially released, but you can find it on youtube when they were recording it. the dance by jimin in that is so damn vicious, prolly the best dance he ever did as a solo. he dances for only 2 to 3 minutes and he still gets exhausted. i think you should definitely check it out!

They really examine the instrumentation and, not sure how well I remember this, they say that the chord changes reinforce the whole lie thing. Apparently, the musical choices made were very impressive. (btw, waltzing to this would be hilarious to see... just the juxtaposition of light, happy dancing to this dark, dark song.)

2) Please keep going the way you have. Yes, the films are short, but I really like how you are presenting each one. Brilliant idea that hasn't been done before. Just an idea for the future... instead of watching all 7 after watching each individually, why not go through the rest of the journey and do a marathon at the end by watching everything again and reading the diary entries? There is so much that is missed by just watching everything once. I understand if you can't due to time constraints. Just a thought.

4) Fun fact: Did you know that, of the BTS group, Jimin has the highest voice. Jungkook can get fairly high as well, but Jimin is the highest.
5) I don't think their new comeback will have anything to do with the story. This is because they needed to have the story finished by the time their contracts ran out. Luckily for ARMY, all the members of BTS have renewed their contract with BigHit. If the comeback has anything to do with the story, it will probably be a continuation. I don't see them doing much as a full group in the upcoming years either. I believe Jin is entering the military next year, and Yoongi possibly soon after.
6) Pay attention to the pairings and who's circle is which. I believe they correlate as something happens to each pairing. Pay extra attention to Jin. What he does and how he responds. Who and what he interacts with. Everything is important.

As others have already said, I would read the notes and the webtoon at the end, after everything else. And before the Highlight Reel, you might want to check out the Blood, Sweat and Tears MV because it still belongs to the Wings era and is connected to the story line. (It's not so much plot-driven, but it shows a lot of symbolism directly connected to the story) Actually, the Japanese MV for it reveals even more about the storyline! (I think the Japanese stuff is not so save to react to because of copyright etc., but I really recommend watching it nevertheless on your own if you want to, or maybe just upload it with muted sound or something to prevent copyright :))

I hope we're not confusing you too much ^^' I remember I was super confused at first, because they have so much stuff connected to the storyline and everything spread on different forms of media - songs, videos, webtoon, posters, physical notes, fictional online blogs, ... xD
The scene with the sign is from the Notes. It isn't made clear, but what the Notes do say is that when JM was young, he got lost during a school trip there and ended up in the back room which was where he experienced "his trauma." That's all the info we're given about it. Later, the boys are heading somewhere (can't recall if it was the same place) and JM sees that sign and he becomes pale and frightened. The others notice and suggest they go to the sea instead. That's all you really know about what happened to JM in the storyline.
Not sure if somebody else said this but The Notes started being released as booklets in the Love Yourself trilogy of albums: Her, Tear and Answer. There were 4 different versions for each album and each one contained a different Notes booklet which makes a total of 12 booklets. The Highlight Reels short was released before the Tear album so you can watch that before reading the notes xD At this point The Notes book has also been released; I didn't get my copy yet so I can't confirm if the contents are exactly the same as what was released with the booklets, but I thought it was important to mention if you want to read them also seeing how it's the official translation.
That said, I really enjoy how perceptive you are on these. Jimin's my bias too so I enjoyed it a lot! The others already mentioned what he tried to convey in Lie so I'm not gonna add up to that, but what I can say without spoiling is that you'll see more connections as you go through the short films, especially what "eva" refers to. I feel like you're so totally gonna have an "OOOOOH!!" moment again. lol (and many more to come) The next short movie is especially heartbreaking.

It's alright lol the only way you can actually get a good grasp on things is watching the BU mvs (they give a picture for everything) then reading the Notes (they don't tell everything, just fill in the holes in parts of the MV and better insight) and then the Webtoon (it shows everything visually and written tho it doesn't have the different pov insight that Notes have so if you really want the whole story, looking into all three is the best way.)

I think it was in the RUN MV he did tried to kill himself by sinking himself into the tub.The way this short film connects to the storyline is that he is in the hospital and there is a part in the storyline that he mentioned he lied to the doctor by saying that he doesn't remember what happened. The sign you saw that says Flower arboretum as someone has mentioned, it was said in the storyline that he was with his classmates there and something happened in the arboretum. Someone has this theory on Twitter about him and Yoongi being opposing forces? Like there is an incorrect pair but needs to be corrected in order to save each other, something like that.

I'm not sure if someone already told you or not, but there is more than one connection between characters. Jimin is connected with J-Hope but later we found out through the notes that he also has a connection with Suga. Jungkook also connected with Namjoon and so on.

Jimin is most likely talking about his 'lie' of the voices inside his head saying he is not good enough... anyone with depression, eating disorder, anyhting that keeps telling you over and over that you are not 'enough' will relate. and we all know about Jimin's eating habit, especially from that time he only ate 2 chicken breast every 10 days, though he sais he dont do that anymore. that kind of behaviour dont come out of nowhere. As a person who has had an eating disorder, to actually starve for 10 days without solid foods is actually hell, and you have heard that voice telling you shit for a long time before you go that far. And we all know about his insecurities about his voice and being able to keeping it stable, wich is not easy on the notes he keeps hitting.
That is my take on his lyrics atleast.
I believe that after these short films and the Highlight Reel, you should see the Euphoria MV, which sort of ends the storyline, if I remember correctly! Haha 😃

I havent finished watching it but ill give you some info!
1) he is paired with Jhope so in the shortfilm there are two beds in the hospital he is in, the empty bed is jhope's
2) the lie is his, he told a lie but he keep lying and he cant get away anymore
3) the adress has a meaning for his story but still we dont know anything about what happened, we just know that after jimin went there he become suicidal?
4) the way he keeps showing us the painting is like he still is living in the lie, its not a true forest, still he keeps making the camera record it
5) thats painting could be the adress, maybe he was in the forest?
6) you know the story of adan and Eva and how the snake made eva and adan eat and apple, well here the apple represents the lie and the sins, but still about jimin story we know the least, we know about most of the members storys but jimin's still really unknown, we dont have so many clues about him or why did he went to that place or what happened, i dont know if its expleined in the notes because i didnt read them (they are in korean 😅) and i need to watch the videos of the notes translated
7) jimin is often using a blindfold in Blood Sweat and tears era (WINGS album) in Lie and BS&T japanese and korean version he uses it.

Just because you love choreography, I’d recommend you to watch the “bangtan bomb Jimin Lie” that BANGTANTV uploaded. It’s the full choreography of the song, he never did the full choreography live, but they uploaded the full version for the short film anyway! Maybe you’d just like to watch it in your spare time, it’s such a complicated choreo and it shows just how much of a professional dancer Jimin really is

Before the Highlight Reel, you might want to check out the Blood, Sweat and Tears MV because it also belongs to the Wings era and is connected to the story line. (not so much plot-driven, but it has a lot of symbolism) Actually, the Japanese MV for it reveals even more about the storyline! I think Japanese stuff is not so save to react to because of copyright etc. (maybe with muted sound or something like this?I'm not familiar with how to avoid copyright tbh xD), but I really recommend watching it at least on your own because it's something completely different from the Korean one :)
Oh, and there is also the Wings Tour Trailer, which is connected to the storyline, so maybe you wanna watch this, too. It came out shortly after Blood, Sweat and Tears and has so much symbolism in it as well.

Jimin tried to drown himself and he ended up in the hospital. He is a suicide survivor. The lyrics are important too. Jimin is talking about a lie. Amazing song. Heartbreaking though. Jimin said I think he cried buckets first time singing and dancing it. U were right on your 1st though he is in the psych ward of a hospital. Yep, that was an apple. Adam and Eve reference. I think the piano on fire is the opposite element to water thus there is that connection. This is my fav song by Jimin.

The lyrics to this song are still open for interpretation. Jimin has never come out and said if they are about anything particular. Lots of fans speculate that they have to do with issues Jimin might have with his self image, but I think it's rude to speculate if he hasn't commented on it himself. Even RM in his album review (every new album usually at least one member will do like an hour long live stream review, usually a rap line member who are heavily involved in producing, and tell back stories or talk about lyrics) but even in the review for this album all RM said was he was sure Jimin had a story behind the lyrics but even he wasn't sure what it was. Usually he goes into more details even about other member's songs the fact he left it at that always suggested to me that ARMY should too and love the song and appreciate lyrics in how they might relate to our own lives, but not try and theorize about why they were written
