    I've never thought of freezing green onions like that. Definitely going to try that trick.

    I love that you share not only your cooking and recipes, by which I can almost smell the sesame oil when you put it in the pan (yum!), but views of the streets and stores around you, the park, and it all looks so nice! Thank you!

    Japan looks so exciting and full of flavor..'Sabor' how we sat it in Spanish. I would really love to visit it sometime, but for now I'm enjoying thru your stay there..Also thanks for the shopping trip. I really love the simplicity of Japanese table wares..Form follows function. Like we say in the design business. Thanks again for the delicious recipe ideas.Stay safe.🥰❤️🙏

    Yuka, your recipes inspire me to eat more veggies and get in my kitchen and cook. The meals you make are really approachable - I’ve made a few of them and look forward to making more. I’ve got my eye on the onigiri and udon noodle recipes 🙂 please also keep sharing about life in Japan. It’s so interesting!!

    I love your style video! Itis 1/2 vlog and 1/2 cooking. My 2 favorites ^_^ I am from USA and never been to Japan, so when I watch this video, I can feel what it is like in Tokyo. I want to visit one day.

    I made the salmon teriyaki for dinner last night and my husband couldn’t stop raving about it! I was also surprised how much of a difference the potato starch made to the texture. Definitely going into our regular dinner rotation. Thank you!

    We say 'Sabor' in Spanish which means flavor. And Japan has lots of it. It's beautiful and exciting. Thanks again for the visual visit. Take care🥰

    Watching your videos gives me inspiration and makes me a little less lonely. I miss cooking for others and it feels like a waste to put effort into cooking for myself. But it seems nice the way you do it. You put effort in and hopefully you enjoy it.

    Loved seeing the streets and neighborhoods. The plates and bowls you bought are lovely - especially that unusual white shallow bowl. Inspiring and tasty recipes as always - thank you!

    Hello Yuka,
    I'm enjoying your videos so much! My boyfriend and I like to cook japanese and you are a great inspiration 😊
    We are currently planning our trip to Japan, all the way from Hokkaido to Kyushu in November 2023. (It's my second time Japan and his first time) We are very excited.
    But so long, I have to indulge my wanderlust with the help of your videos.

    There are many porcelain brands to choose from. For now I'm familiar with the brands like, hakusan, kihara, hasami common, arita lab. Actually there were some, but I forgot.

    Hi Yuka! What a wonderful video! Thank you for showing us Tokyo with your eyes, I love especially the tours through shops, if you ask me, I‘m definitely in for more! Interior stores, convenient stores, everything! 😂😅
    But I also have a question! I see you often sipping on your Miso Soup first, when you start your meal. Manner wise, is there a „correct“ order in which you should enjoy your meal? Because I usually like to finish my meal with the Miso Soup and I‘m wondering if that‘s a „bad habit“ in Japan! Would love to hear about that!❤
    Best wishes from Germany! ❤
    Jutta

      @yuka_jp  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jutta, thank you for the comment :)
      I’ll be doing more shopping in the next coming videos!
      The correct order should be warm soup > rice > main dish > side dish, but it’s not like a strict table manner :)
      I think many Japanese people have miso soup first because we think we should enjoy warm soup before it gets cold 🤣

    I've tried a few of your recipes and love how accessible and delicious they are, so thank you for that! Would love to try the sweet potato recipe but I was just wondering if you think using a regular sweet potato would still be okay for it taste wise if I can't get access to the Japanese sweet potato? Thank you

    • @yuka_jp
      @yuka_jp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the comment :) You can use a regular sweet potato. I used to always cook Japanese sweet potato dishes with a regular sweet potato! It was all good.

    I'm curious as to were is the food cheaper, Europe or Japan? Same ingredients, different costs?

    • @yuka_jp
      @yuka_jp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on products and where in Europe, but vegetables and fruits are definitely cheaper in Europe. Restaurants are (a lot) cheaper in Japan 😂😂
