And I started off a 1D fan, then a Louis fan but really love T75. They are so so versatile, there is something for everyone on their discography. His vocal range is also impressive, changes with each song, and his stage presence is also great. Focus on shows post Taylor, they are my favorite.
It’s interesting you think this is bland but think Ed Sheeran’s Life Goes On is good? I don’t judge opinions typically but these songs are on completely different levels in terms of creativity, musicality and lyricism
Not at all implying we should all think the same way and have same tastes. But I do think giving live reactions to music can be a disservice at times because often my favorite songs took many listens to click. And it takes several listens to grasp the lyrics and all musical aspects. Initial reactions miss these nuances big time but I get this is the hot thing to do on TH-cam. Still appreciate the time you guys put into doing this.
I feel like the 1975 songs you have been sent are definitely playing a role. As a fan, I love all their music, but I do feel like you have listened to all my least favorite songs. Lol they do have more up beat songs and heavier hitters than this.
I think Love It If We Made It studio version official video might be a stronger argument for these guys than the lives tbh - if that song doesn't get them off the fence about The 1975 nothing will

I think LIIWMI, People, and The City would all be great picks. Powerful loud catchy with a bit of bite to them. And if they don't like those.....then oh well, it's not the band for them. :}
I gotta agree with an earlier comment..... You guys often choose songs that give the worst/blandest first impression of an artist....certainly in terms of being new to their music. I've noticed that a bit with other artists you'll do...not just The 1975. Maybe see what fans would recommend starting with? Imagine reacting to The Beatles and starting with When I'm 64, Yellow Submarine, and Your Mother Should Know. I mean, in context those can all be great songs within the larger world of their music. But imagine picking those as the first 3 things you _ever_ heard from....The Beatles lol. It honestly makes me curious how/where/why you _do_ choose the songs you do?
