verdict: both characters are pretty solid. everythough ayaka is quite old she can still be a worthy dps (however not in comparison to the likes of other characters such as alhaitham or neuvillete) navia is also pretty good for a geo character.
People overhype alhaitham and neuvellite way to much especially alhaitham , as an alhaitham main if you don't have nahida alhaitham isn't even worth pulling and with nahida he becomes super strong but its not like he's better than hu tao or lyney , neuvellite is top tier but he doesn't make units irrelevant or powercreep them lol

idk i would probably find navia to be potentially more volatile since her damage mainly comes from the 2 shotgun shots, and if you miss a crit shot on either on them, the damage drop offs gonna be quite large. With a freeze ayaka, you probably won't have the same kind of problem with missing out on crit damage anyways
You won't have issues with crits, but Ayaka is also locked into Freeze to keep enemies from staggering out of her Burst. By contrast, Navia is much more flexible.

Frankly, it's not a very logical comparison, Ayaka is a character that deals area damage and is more prone to freezing opponents than any other character with a few exceptions. Neuvilette is the only character that can deal more damage to freezing opponents than Ayaka. On the other hand, Navia is a character that can deal incredible damage with a single skill, and this damage is a single hit, meaning Navia is a complete boss killer, but since she has Furina with her in her best team, she will not have difficulty against multiple opponents in the field. That's why it's not fair to try both of them against the same boss or an opponent who doesn't freeze. Navia has a clear advantage in the video, both characters are great, I recommend you to get the one you like.
these carpet statements are funny. my noelle does more damage DPS than this ayaka and probably than the neuvillette you're thinking of (you know the one i'm talking about, f2p, 40k per tick, blah blah blah). Plus, there are abysses where ayaka is completely useless and worthless, and also abysses where neuvillette is just south of useless (even sucrose has better dps than him against a hydro tulpa, for example). Just saying "x character is stronger than y character" is dumb, but i guess this community will never learn that.

even as a fact of comparison, everything is very bad, the second team has practically the best assembly of supports for Ayaka, the first one has Xiang Ling in the place of furina, not to mention the fact that perhaps the test was without a signature set of artifacts for Navia, from my experience the figure is even 200k not big dyal navia
I don't even run her with Furina. I run her with Bennett XL and Zhongli and I can hit higher numbers than this. Geo Resonance is heavily incentivized for Navia since its the strongest Resonance in the game unless of course you have C2 Furina and you run her with MH 4pc.

Gorou is not a good choice either, its only feature is the geo application, then only albedo remains, but this time furina's damage will decrease, so the best choice is zhongli, it is mandatory to use navia's ultimate with it, you have given an irrelevant example, in the game Every character wants and needs you to use their ultimate. In this logic, you don't need to use Ganyu's ultimate, so is Ganyu better?

Navia biggest weakness is Ayaka biggest strength, Aoe, and especially against those rifthounds. Navia is purely a single target focused unit so if anything, she should out-dps Ayaka in that department
If u play good navia shes an aoe beast, while for ayaka u need some anemo grouping and freeze, so yeah navia is not a "single targer focused unite", she can literally oneshot like 7 enemys at once
AOE isn't ayaka's strength. it's her weakness. you NEED to have a grouper for her to work if there's more than a monster in the arena, and the monsters can't be too heavy as not to be groupable. her strength is single target.

Nah, they're not using her correct team, but they're using one for Navia. Navia dishes out big geo dmg because that's all her element can do. She's a good character but not versatile.
Ayaka's main strenght is multiple enemies grouped up so her burst + charged attack can decimate them. Navia is a great nuke , expecially in single target scenarios , but since you have no benefit from running an anemo character with her she struggles with grouping. Both need specific 5 star partners to truly shine (Shenhe, Zhongli, Furina, Kazuha etc.) BUT Navia has better F2P replacements (Ninguang, Bennet and Xiangling can give her both a Geo battery, Geo Resonance, Thrilling Tales Buff, enough Crystallize generation and Pyro Resonance for extra attack all from 4 star units that are really easy to build)
ngl, every new character I get does not compare to my C2 Raiden 😭😭 so I'm just going to get C3R1 and characters that intrigued me story wise. I'm at the point that damage on my screen is less relevant than personality and relevance to the story.
You guys are just playing her wrong. You can literally use Ayaka's whole kit cept Plunge Attack because of her passives. People think shes boring just because theyre just relying on her burst.
Bennet give buff,so thus xiangling as EM and mona burst. In Navia team their r two pyro which will increase Navia dmg more. akaya only buff but no extra pyro to get that extra Atk, Navia is more in advantages here.
Ayaka gameplay use burst and do charge atk until the boss is dead its pretty boring imo in the other hand navia hits hard nice animations and hittin her skill makes u feel powerfull

Navia biggest weakness is Ayaka biggest strength, Aoe, and especially against those rifthounds. Navia is purely a single target focused unit so if anything, she should out-dps Ayaka in that department

If u play good navia shes an aoe beast, while for ayaka u need some anemo grouping and freeze, so yeah navia is not a "single targer focused unite", she can literally oneshot like 7 enemys at once

AOE isn't ayaka's strength. it's her weakness. you NEED to have a grouper for her to work if there's more than a monster in the arena, and the monsters can't be too heavy as not to be groupable. her strength is single target.

Em um burst da minha ayaka, o dano ultrapassa uma rotação completa da minha navia. E as duas estão muito bem buildadas
O problema é que a Ayaka depende 100% da Ultimate, então inimigos que se mexem muito ou são imunes a congelamento (incluindo boss) acabam cortando quase todo o dano da Ayaka. Contudo, a Navia não possui esse problema, ela consegue lidar com todos os tipos de inimigos com facilidade e não precisando que eles fiquem parados.

Nah, they're not using her correct team, but they're using one for Navia. Navia dishes out big geo dmg because that's all her element can do. She's a good character but not versatile.
Ayaka's main strenght is multiple enemies grouped up so her burst + charged attack can decimate them. Navia is a great nuke , expecially in single target scenarios , but since you have no benefit from running an anemo character with her she struggles with grouping. Both need specific 5 star partners to truly shine (Shenhe, Zhongli, Furina, Kazuha etc.) BUT Navia has better F2P replacements (Ninguang, Bennet and Xiangling can give her both a Geo battery, Geo Resonance, Thrilling Tales Buff, enough Crystallize generation and Pyro Resonance for extra attack all from 4 star units that are really easy to build)
