A great theme of the season was everything Olaf valued being stripped away. He loses his henchpeople in The Slippery Slope, his authority in The Grim Grotto, he breaks up with Esme in The Penultimate Peril and by The End everyone sees him for who he is as his bravado and disguises are washed away. I evaded crying several times in the finale but when I saw Isadora's face in Chapter Fourteen I lost it. I love the closure that we got on the sugar bowl, Olaf, the Quagmires, the Widdershins, the hench people and Beatrice Snicket. My favourte moment in the show must be Olafs death. Not that I was glad he died, no... But it was such a moving scene on so many different and weird levels...
It was really well done in my opinion, Olaf got a bit of development, we see real explanation for Olaf and Kits feelings for each other, and it’s melancholy, like the entire series was meant to be.
You're right most adaptations have changes because of the new visual medium, but ones that are just random are unnecessary make many people angry. These ones I'm fine with because the author Daniel Handler wrote it, so it's okay
I think if you want to get into this series, you should read the original books AND watch the Netflix series. They're both fantastic, but the netflix series helps to wrap up loose ends, answer questions that the book was vague about, and give us nice closure to multiple characters that they honestly deserve to have. But the book has its own charm for leaving a lot of things ambiguous and uncertain, just like how life is
I especially liked Sunny throughout this series. She's by far my favorite character and her interactions with the hook-handed man were very heartwarming, cute and funny.
I genuinely feel like the Netflix series is the best version of the story. I'm glad that Daniel Handler was heavily involved with production on this one, too, it gives a much more official feel to the changes, rather than just being studio mandates, and it's honestly the ending I wished the books had.
I love how the show gave you more info about all the questionable things in the books. Don't come and say "but it's not true!" Because technically it us because Daniel Handler, the original writer of the books, helped write the Netflix series.
It is two different canons. This is obvious considering there are characters who are alive in the show and dead in the books. It's like GOT. Following the same story line but not everything is the same and acting like they are the same is dumb.
@@jadiandangie381 Yes both excellent but I think fans should be able to choose what they believe is real and what isn't! If they like something in the tv show that wasn't in the book then so be it but if they dont like the change thats their canon. But definitely read the books, they are amazing
He hasn’t accepted everything that happens in the series as canon. For example he has not confirmed that there is in fact a vaccine against the medusoid mycelium, so... “but it’s not true”
Agreed! There's a very fine line between being overly annoying and not taking the character far enough. I think she did a terrific job finding that middle ground
Ikr! Watching the girl makes me want to slap “Carmelita” but at the same time think, her actress is very talented. Her role in this series is intentionally over the top, so I’m very curious to see how she would act in other types of films.
There are so many FANTASTIC actors in the series. As a matter of fact, only three people in the entire series disappointed: Aunt Josephine (something about her acting was just over-the-top and annoying) and Violet and Klaus (in every scene they are trying WAY to hard to be melodramatic. They are the only reason I won't buy this series on DVD when it comes out).
It gave me flashbacks to the Great Cowboy War of ‘04. I had my girlfriend with me, we had almost defeated the enemy cowfolk. My trusty companion, Markus the horse, led us off towards the village. The sun was setting slowly beyond the horizon, my girlfriend was practicing her lasso skills. We were sharing a romantic moment, I won’t be afraid to admit. If only I could’ve seen what was about to happen. By the time we reached the village, everyone was gone. We went to the saloon, leaving Markus outside. However, instead of seeing our associate cowfolk, we were greeted with our enemies. I made to take out my gun, but before I could Jessica Wildesto lassoed my girlfriend and I to some wood chairs. They interrogated us- asking all about our plans. My girlfriend refused to reveal our plans.. so she was shot. Even though she was the toughest cowgirl I knew, she couldn’t withstand a bullet to her head. Admitting to defeat, I gave away our plans in order to save my own life. They spared me, but I was so ashamed walking outside of that saloon. “Yippykayay!”, they simultaneously yelled to me. I rode off to the city, letting go of my cowboy side. By 2007 I had completely changed myself, and I had already gotten myself a city girlfriend. On the news I saw that the war was over. The bad guys had won. I blame myself for this and I don’t think I’ll ever stop.
Awesome Mystery? Gosh, he was by far one of the best characters in this series and I'm kind of unsatisfied with is death., It just seems ...wrong. He was so pure.
Did anyone noticed that in S1 that they showed the picture of the parents. The father didn't have glasses and the mother's face was different. In S3 the father in the picture had glasses and the mother's face was Beatrice instead of the women that was originally in the picture of S1?
Usually they won’t have someone casted so early in a tv series seeing as you only really see the parents in season 3, there would be no way to secure their role in season 1 (as they were not sure if they would get renewed for 2 more seasons) so they just casted people who would resemble their image for the photograph :) x
Eloi all the footage we saw of the parents were all years before their death anyway so they wouldn’t look much older. The original comment was asking why they looked like different people so that’s why I explained it could have something to do with casting. Most tv shows do it :) x
Hi there! You forgot the missing people in the hotel like sir and charles being replaced by babs and jerome. Jerome and justice strauss came in the hotel together from what i recall
We should definitely get some more scenes during the time that V.F.D. was created. Like so it’s more clear what happened at the opera, some more facts on the sugar bowl. And when Violet, Klaus and Sunny weren’t born yet. Maybe some more of The Snickets, and Beatrice, when everybody was together and still one noble organisation, but then it leads to the sugar bowl being stolen and how it split up into schisms. I feel like that would be more interesting to watch and so you could get some more background and a clearer idea of what VFD used to be.
We still don’t know who started the Baudelaire mansion fire and we don’t know a lot about the man with beard and no hair and the woman with hair and no beard
@@jackdonohue7893 To be fair it leaves it pretty unclear. It's not like Olaf is trustworthy or above lying, especially when his life is in danger. He could still have started it, it's just not definite.
Honestly, I feel like most, if not all, of the changes were for the better. I'm completely in love with the ending, it just wrapped up all the loose ends so satisfyingly.
I liked most of the changes, except for getting rid of Captain Widdershins. I felt that Fiona didn't have as well-defined character as she had in the books. The show seemed to downplay how she was a mycologist, and her "romance" with Klaus in the show seemed cheesy and shoe-horned in. Granted, I haven't read the books in a while so it might have seemed cheesy in the books as well.
Yea I liked Captain Widdershins so I was sad when I found out he wasn't going to be in the show. Honestly, I feel like I'm the only one who didn't see any romance or chemistry between Klaus & Fiona and their kiss seemed random to me. Maybe I have forgotten some things about the books, but I read them all in 2017.
One of my favourite moments of season 3 was Olaf’s reaction when Violet told him to help Kit ☺️ I loved seeing the flashback with them, Esmé and Lemony as well 😌 I loved season 3 especially because the penultimate peril is one of my favourite books of the series (other than the austere academy and the ersatz elevator) I just wish that you could see the quagmires reuniting with the baudelaires even though that doesn’t happen in the books
I legitimately cried when it showed the henchpeople all happy on stage and Fernald with his sister. They were bad people, but they turned around, which makes me very happy.
Two things, Dr. Orwell died from falling into lit furnace after being startled, not into saw while fighting Sunny like the books. And Justice Strauss apparently died at the Hotel Denoument, but in the end of the part 2, she is seen giving the only remaining evidence, a picture of the Bauldalaires from the book, O.L.A.F. to Lemony Snicket.
I always hate inaccuracies and changes in adaptations, but with this show, I had the benefit of only a vague recollection of the books (I had totally forgotten the ending) and the knowledge that the script for the series was written by Lemony Snicket himself. If there's anybody who's qualified to know what changes are best made when adapting a story to TV, it's probably the original author.
@@whatisthisbusiness4681 I think it would ruin it too. To me the whole thing with the story was that it was never going to be a happy ending. To show more would either have to give that happy ending, defeating the warning we're told all the way through. Or they'd have to give us more of the same but with a new villain, so therefore it would be pointless. By not telling us their fate we don't see their ending but we do get an ending. More stories with Olaf etc would have been great though, it's a pity he didn't write more but small things burning brightly and all that.
Penultimate Peril episodes were the best of the series but the finale was really good too. Awesome show and I'm glad they were actually able to do the whole series.
Here’s the VFD motto if you don’t know the full thing! “When we grab you by the ankles, where our mark is to be made, You’ll soon be doing noble work, Although you won’t be paid. When we drive you away in secret, you’ll be a voulenteer, so don’t scream when we tell you: The world is quiet here.”
I feel like they left this ending really open ended, and that if they wanted, they could go and make a season 4 (idk what it would be about because they ran out of books)
Things the TV series did better this season -Making the Snow Scouts wealthy children turned into orphans. It shows how Olaf's side of the schism is willing to go to great lengths to hurt innocent people -Having Quigley show up in Grim Grotto, rather than just sending a telegraph. It not only gives such a huge character a role in more than one book, but it shows the Baudelaires having to leave Quigley like they did with his siblings in Ersatz Elevator -Hooky showing Sunny sympathy. While it doesn't make sense at first glance, you can see it as a way of him starting over with Fiona. -Having Babs in the Penultimate Peril -Excluding the ambiguity of the Quagmires, Hector, Fiona, Fernald, Phil and Captain Widdershins. It's nice that not everyone's fate is unknown. -Fully explaining the stealing of the Sugar Bowl and how V.F.D. orphaned Olaf. Things they didn't -Introducing O.C.'s like Larry and Jacqueline and not using them properly. Larry's death wasn't relevant outside of his one scene, and Jacqueline wasn't even present -Making Jerome out to be stupid. In the books he shows remorse and arrives with Justice Strauss. -Under-utilizing Hugo, Kevin and Colette. It was nice that they didn't stick with Olaf, but they could've shown up at the hotel -Not having Sir, Charles, Hal, Mr. Remora, Mrs. Bass (although I did like her analogy with Mr. Poe) in the hotel -Leaving out the Denouement brothers' arc of being orphans.
Because she took the name of the people that raised her (or was given it), sort of like you would with parents who adopt. That would help secure her as part of a family, instead of being on her own.
N9 one talks about all the secret messages in the Beatrice letters book I've found one message that I believe is about Olaf and how Beatrice was trying to recruit him but lemony was unsure if they could trust him. Then I went online to see if anyone else found any messages and I only found one other person who had found a message in one of the other letters using a famous roman Cypher he didn't tell what he found because he wanted fresh eyes looking for the codes because he be level that any of the letters could contain multiple messages overlapping one another so if he showed everyone what was there that's all they would see. But why hasn't anyone but me and this one guy been talking about the secret messages. And after all this time why hasn't anyone solved them.
I still LOVE the 2004 film, and I always will. But my god, this is a masterpiece. I couldn’t get used to it at first and I didn’t give it a chance, and I always wrote it off as “well it’s corny the movie is better.” But now that I’ve given it a chance, I prefer the show, it represents the books so faithfully and so well
The only change I didn't like was revealing whats in the Sugar Bowl. For such a fascinating Mistery, they should've kept it. The others like the Quagmire and the Baudelaires are a nice happy ending, but the Sugar Bowl should've been kept, as said by Snicket, "in the dark".
I think the ambiguous ending makes it even more powerful though. I've been continuously thinking about everything that happened since I saw the final scene four days ago. It leaves a lot to the imagination and forces you to imagine what you think happened.
@@TCO_404 They didn't hate the ending, they hate that it ended, i.e. they wanted it to go on for longer so they could see more. At least, that's how I read their comment.
The scene in which sunny says she’ll stay to spy on Olaf and then Violet says how will sunny escape and then Sunny ties up her hair and says she’ll invent something is probably my favourite moment in the whole show cause she sees her older siblings getting out of trouble and she knows she can too so she does what her older sister always does and ties up her hair. That is the best scene and always makes me cry
She was madame lulu before Olivia came. They hint to it in season 3 when the freaks say " Which Madam Lulu, the one that got eaten by lions (Olivia) or the one that drove away in a taxi (kit Snicket, since she drove her brother's taxi)
The show was Very Fantastically Done, wish they could've added more like a special part showing Violet, Klaus, and Sunny grown up doing something as to where they ended up and what happened to VFD and stuff
I think the one mayor difference between the Netflix series and the books is how dark it is. In the book it was always dark with Count Olaf being a little more menacing and as well as his troupe. In the Netflix series they are seem to be more silly which make you wonder how they were able to do anything. Another thing is just the mystery. In The End we were left to wonder if The Quagmires, Fiona, Fernald, Justice Strauss, Jerome, and Hector were to survive
Dylan Thomas Maybe Fiona and Fernald survives but the quagmires were seen to be shot down by the crows and Quigley was seen to Die in the great unknown
I read all the books long before netflix started their series and I would like to say that I liked both, but I was a little mad about some of the things Netflix took out. I actually prefer the sense of mystery that is so prevalent in the books to having everything spelled out for you in the series. Lemony Snicket has a very unique way of writing that kinda forces you to look deeper into the text to try and find out what he's saying. In the book we don't know what Count Olaf is planning until the Baudelaires do. But in the show, we can see exactly what is happening as it's happening, because they show Olaf's plan through the whole thing. Also there are things that can only be captured in writing. Like in one of the books, Lemony writes a secret letter to Kit in the book that the reader is not supposed to see. Also, I really like the ending in the books because in the series, there are 13 books. 13 is known for being unlucky, but at the end of book 13, The End, there's a 14th book. I like to think that the chain of unfortunate events is finally broken, and I imagine that everything worked out fine. Also to those of you who don't know, The Bombinating Beast is most likely the Great Unknown, who is a creature from the Clusterous Forest in Stain'd by the Sea and is quite dangerous. Other things that they changed were that the trial in the penultimate peril didn't go like that at all. The Baudelaires wanted to tell their story and bring count olaf to justice, but they figured out something was suspicious. In the book everybody was blindfolded and Justice Strauss couldn't talk because of Olaf's associates, and the Baudelaires realized Justice wasn't talking so they took off their blinfolds. They never got to have their trial. Next thing they changed was that the Quagmire parent side plot wasn't at all included in the books. In the first episodes they have the Quagmire's parents getting captured and going to peru and all sorts of things, but the books doesn't include that at all. Lastly, (this one is stupid I know) Esme didn't have her fire dress on in the slippery slope. That dress had a mystery around it, as the book said that somebody else had worn that dress long ago, and that the dress had history. Completely removing it made me a little bit sad.
I'm going to miss this show, it was a very fun drama to watch, I think the actors did a vocally fantastic delivery of their lines. I am glad the vague final days from the book were vamped for determined endings for all of the characters.
The books were definitely better Also I’m so mad captain widdishins wasn’t in it and a lot of the changes in the TGG so the TGG is my least favorite part in the show witch is sad cause the GG was one of my favorite books in the series
@@alexanderduran8982 I think Lemony made it seem really bad because he didn't know the ending yet, and after his own past was inclined to assume the worst. Not until he meets young Beatrice at the very end where she tells him what happened.
I think the changes made sense. There's a lot of unanswred questions in the books which Snicket fixed later down the line but would only be really messy if made into a TV series.
I think the best part of the series is the screen writer, who was also the author of the original books. All the changes made helped clarify the story, or were made to make book to screen more understandable. Some things just don't translate as well visually. So it worked. I loved the series, Netflix and the books. They are brilliant and well done! One of the best novel adaptations I have ever seen!
More changes- 1, Dr Orwell did a swordfight with sunny in books but she did not do so in the series. 2. The spyglass is shown much more in the series. 3. Jacqueline is not present in the books at all. 4. Olivia Caliban is shown more in series. Madame Lulu is also not good. 5. The contents of the sugar bowl are told in the series

Your one true god Cthulhu was that intentional at the end or just a coincidence?
@@ackminecrer9165 completely intentional cakesniffer.
But the book has its own charm for leaving a lot of things ambiguous and uncertain, just like how life is
This show was fantastic
Great to hear you had so much fun watching it! :-)
Ikr
I especially liked Sunny throughout this series. She's by far my favorite character and her interactions with the hook-handed man were very heartwarming, cute and funny.
who else is pissed Klaus and Fiona kisses like BRUH isodra is still alive
Well... they don't know that... and they might be dead nowm
... “Isodra” is on a Flying Mechanical Device. He said that it will never go back down on the ground.
@@bearnaib aaahhh I forgot about it not coming down ... but still
@@jackdonohue7893 no at the end it shows that they survived
@@itsdee178 Yes it did but that's so we know it, the Baudelaires don't know that.
John Kennell ar'nt the books and the show both good though?
@@jadiandangie381 Yes both excellent but I think fans should be able to choose what they believe is real and what isn't! If they like something in the tv show that wasn't in the book then so be it but if they dont like the change thats their canon. But definitely read the books, they are amazing
He hasn’t accepted everything that happens in the series as canon. For example he has not confirmed that there is in fact a vaccine against the medusoid mycelium, so... “but it’s not true”
Separate canons being traditional for adaptations aside... Wasn't Handler mostly worked out of the writing process by season 3?
It’s so bittersweet how the series is ending ):
I already miss this series :(
Read the manga, you caksniffer. Sorry wrong format, i meant book!
I absolutely fell in love Carmelita, the little girl who played her was too adorably perfect for the part.
Esme as well, was probably one of the best cast for the part
poe was also great in his role. I wanted to slap him so many times. That was some good annoying acting.
When you said yippykiyay you gave me a sad flashback to what happened to Larry.
YarnStore RIP Larry Your-Waiter
Oof
FRICK ERNEST HE FREAKIN KILLED HIM In.... salsa!?
omg please do more videos on this series
3:21 I loved seeing them so happy
My favorite thing about the changes is that lemony helped write all of them

It’s not Olaf because when he was asked by the Baudelaires he said no and there isn’t proof that it’s esme
I love the moments with Sunny and Hooky (Fernald). The last episode made me cry so much, I was actually really sad when It Olaf died.

Honestly, I feel like most, if not all, of the changes were for the better. I'm completely in love with the ending, it just wrapped up all the loose ends so satisfyingly.
Carmalita- is county not my daddy anymore.
Esme- he's not mine either
I DIED
I just finished watching this show when I got this notification
Perfect timing! :-)
I hate the romance beetwen her and klaus
Yes, in the books, Fiona kisses Klaus on the cheek.
@@jewellf6350 Nope she kisses him on the mouth in the books as well.
Klaus and Isadora had more chemistry... And Klaus kept comparing Violet to Fiona so that's weird.
Two things,
Dr.
Most of the changes actually made it better!! I LOVED this series!!!
I’m a bit sad that the series is over. Maybe Handler can make a sequel showing what happened to the Baudelaires.
It could ruin it though.
More stories with Olaf etc would have been great though, it's a pity he didn't write more but small things burning brightly and all that.
khfan4life365 or they could adapt atwq
Well it had to one reason being if they took too long sunny would grow up and no baby will ever replace sunny
No you are missing the point entirely
I read the books when they came out and I've waited years to see Esmé on screen. Lucy Punch is perfect.
Penultimate Peril episodes were the best of the series but the finale was really good too. Awesome show and I'm glad they were actually able to do the whole series.
I’m already crying I bawled when Dewey died😭❤️
Here’s the VFD motto if you don’t know the full thing! “When we grab you by the ankles, where our mark is to be made, You’ll soon be doing noble work, Although you won’t be paid.
When we drive you away in secret, you’ll be a voulenteer, so don’t scream when we tell you: The world is quiet here.”
I feel like they left this ending really open ended, and that if they wanted, they could go and make a season 4 (idk what it would be about because they ran out of books)
I love the little VFD references she puts in
I'm simply happy that they gave many characters good closure and ended the story on a happier note.
Things the TV series did better this season
-Making the Snow Scouts wealthy children turned into orphans. It shows how Olaf's side of the schism is willing to go to great lengths to hurt innocent people
-Having Quigley show up in Grim Grotto, rather than just sending a telegraph. It not only gives such a huge character a role in more than one book, but it shows the Baudelaires having to leave Quigley like they did with his siblings in Ersatz Elevator
-Hooky showing Sunny sympathy. While it doesn't make sense at first glance, you can see it as a way of him starting over with Fiona.
-Having Babs in the Penultimate Peril
-Excluding the ambiguity of the Quagmires, Hector, Fiona, Fernald, Phil and Captain Widdershins. It's nice that not everyone's fate is unknown.
-Fully explaining the stealing of the Sugar Bowl and how V.F.D. orphaned Olaf.
Things they didn't
-Introducing O.C.'s like Larry and Jacqueline and not using them properly. Larry's death wasn't relevant outside of his one scene, and Jacqueline wasn't even present
-Making Jerome out to be stupid. In the books he shows remorse and arrives with Justice Strauss.
-Under-utilizing Hugo, Kevin and Colette. It was nice that they didn't stick with Olaf, but they could've shown up at the hotel
-Not having Sir, Charles, Hal, Mr. Remora, Mrs. Bass (although I did like her analogy with Mr. Poe) in the hotel
-Leaving out the Denouement brothers' arc of being orphans.
I love the series, but why is beatrice the second a baudelaire not a denouement or a snicket
I asked the same question.
Because she took the name of the people that raised her (or was given it), sort of like you would with parents who adopt. That would help secure her as part of a family, instead of being on her own.
lwaves yeah good point
Because she was raised by the Baudelaires! I think it’s sweet that she took on their name instead of Denoument or Snicket
She’s a Snicket in the books
I don't understand why this didn't get more attention than stranger things 😟😟😟
If you want more vfd, read the "All the wrong questions" book series. It's about Lemony as a kid, and is really pog
I love this entire thing! I’m so mad when people who have only seen the series and think they know everything.
Hope they do all the wrong questions
Yes
Or the unauthorized Snicket autobiography
I think they are planning it
I still LOVE the 2004 film, and I always will. But my god, this is a masterpiece. I couldn’t get used to it at first and I didn’t give it a chance, and I always wrote it off as “well it’s corny the movie is better.” But now that I’ve given it a chance, I prefer the show, it represents the books so faithfully and so well
The ending was so emotional
The only change I didn't like was revealing whats in the Sugar Bowl. For such a fascinating Mistery, they should've kept it. The others like the Quagmire and the Baudelaires are a nice happy ending, but the Sugar Bowl should've been kept, as said by Snicket, "in the dark".
I love this show but the only thing i hate about it is that it ended
Why!?!?!
That's how the story goes.....
@@stefantudose7880 it sure is I love that song too
My favorite characters are Kit, Lemony, Jacques, Violet, Klaus, Sunny, Dewey, and Jerome.
I like the vfd acronyms in the intro! i also really like the vid, glad to know there are ppl out there wqho still watch asoue TT
I love that the TV show gives us way more backstory/insight into VFD, and all their personal lives
I like the Netflix Ending. It highlights that the series has ended, as the series of unfortunate events have stopped, giving a happy ending.
Why did Kit know the Carnival Freaks names and stop to light a fire for them on the Mountain?
Because she was the previous Madame lulu before Olivia took over. It was mentioned in the carnival episodes
Delia Christy because she was the previous madame lulu
She was Madame Lulu for VFD
Delia Christy She was madame Lulu
She was madame lulu before Olivia came. They hint to it in season 3 when the freaks say " Which Madam Lulu, the one that got eaten by lions (Olivia) or the one that drove away in a taxi (kit Snicket, since she drove her brother's taxi)
The show was Very Fantastically Done, wish they could've added more like a special part showing Violet, Klaus, and Sunny grown up doing something as to where they ended up and what happened to VFD and stuff
One unfortunate event can lead to many unfortunate events...
i didnt know that there was a book called beatrice letters ty im buying it rn
I think the one mayor difference between the Netflix series and the books is how dark it is. In the book it was always dark with Count Olaf being a little more menacing and as well as his troupe. In the Netflix series they are seem to be more silly which make you wonder how they were able to do anything. Another thing is just the mystery. In The End we were left to wonder if The Quagmires, Fiona, Fernald, Justice Strauss, Jerome, and Hector were to survive
Only Hector, Jerome and Justice Strauss are a mystery. The Quagmires and Fiona & Fernald survive
Dylan Thomas Maybe Fiona and Fernald survives but the quagmires were seen to be shot down by the crows and Quigley was seen to
Die in the great unknown
I wish the Baudelaires and the quagmires reunited because violet had a thing with both Duncan and Quigley and I wanted to see who she ends up with
ikr i was kinda like "but she liked duncan?" and i was hoping she'd be with him
In the books its implied she ends up with Quigley but nothing is ever confimed
You have to agree with me the series has a very catchy theme song.
The books were definitely better
Also I’m so mad captain widdishins wasn’t in it and a lot of the changes in the TGG so the TGG is my least favorite part in the show witch is sad cause the GG was one of my favorite books in the series
No. The books are my favorite book series... but I honestly like the equal.
I was soo angry because I was so excited to see Captain Widdershins brought to life. I loved him in the books.
Very Freaking Disappointed
Fantastic video! very informative!
Very fine deductions.
Well, one important thing is that they did not change the fact the Baudelaire children lose their home in a Vicious Fire Disaster.
I liked the part when Olaf kissed Kit, it was a major plot twist that made me rethink the whole series.
Honestly coming into this series without reading the books, the reveal of what VFD is, the sugar bowl plot, and the ending were kinda underwhelming...
@@alexanderduran8982 I think Lemony made it seem really bad because he didn't know the ending yet, and after his own past was inclined to assume the worst. Not until he meets young Beatrice at the very end where she tells him what happened.
I'll miss this version. I loved it though.
You do a Very Fine Description of this
I can’t believe it’s over I’ve been hanging in to this series for 2 years
I think the changes made sense. There's a lot of unanswred questions in the books which Snicket fixed later down the line but would only be really messy if made into a TV series.
My favorite change is about Madame Lulu. She got a huge character development in the show and unlike in the book, she never betrayed the Baudelaires.
*Sunny looked adorable in the third season with her hair down*
anything about esme going on and on about whats in and out makes me feel sooooooo much happier...
Every time Kit looked back at the kids while driving I thought she was going to have an accident!!
More changes-
1, Dr Orwell did a swordfight with sunny in books but she did not do so in the series.
2. The spyglass is shown much more in the series.
3. Jacqueline is not present in the books at all.
4. Olivia Caliban is shown more in series. Madame Lulu is also not good.
5. The contents of the sugar bowl are told in the series
When you defined fantastic, and only used words that involved “VFD”, I got really happy
i never thought i'd like a netflix original series, but this one proved my negative assumptions wrong. I was waiting every day for a new season.
Season 3 was the best season I had ever watched in my career of Netflix, especially the ending, well done to the creators of this show and well done lemony
