- A couple from Pennsylvania has died after drowning while they were caught in a rip current at a Florida beach.

PSA FROM A HEALTHCARE WORKER FROM HAWAII: Awful things CAN happen in "paradise!" Oceans, waterfalls, volcanoes, ROADS, steam vents, wild boar, cliffs... they present REAL dangers. These places aren't Disneyland, or movie sets, where it's all fake.
Between myself, family, friends, and colleagues, we've seen it all... tourists drowning in the ocean and at waterfalls with clear warnings, breaking bones cliff diving into the ocean, getting scalded in steam vents, getting messed up trying to hand-feed WILD boar 🤦, climbing over barriers to stand on the very edge of perilous cliffs made of brittle lava rock. And the saddest one.... unbuckling an infant to breastfeed while making an "easy" drive (no traffic) until Dad fell asleep behind the wheel. That family went home with one fewer child. 💔 😢 I'm still traumatized by that one, and my heart breaks for that family.
But over and over again, I heard the same thing: "I'm in Hawaii; how could this happen? Bad things aren't supposed to happen here." 😞
We want you all to visit, but we also want you to go home in one piece. And we don't want ourselves or our kids to bear witness to your traumatic, untimely death. 😢

Shark attack
No that was my soccer coach they were swept in by a riptide
shark attack. 1976 I was at Neptune beach. I wasn’t close to the water but there were screams shark attack shark attack. This is when jaws was on everyone’s mind. I see them dragging a man. Oh my. I wasn’t near the water. But first person yelled HEART ATTACK. But everyone heard shark. Crazy times. Rip to the parents horrible
