@@danbalares4818 All of the Kami Band members have been wearing masks since the first show of 2019. That includes both the Kamis From The West (all Americans) and The Kamis From The East (all Japanese).
A few comments here saying something like "dump the " babies" probably referring to the three talented fronts of Babymetal. All those musicians are no doubt great at their art, and that's unquestionable. However, the three young ladies are the reason why BM became unique thus creating a new sub-genre of metal "kawaii metal" which other bands, especially from Japan, are now following. Not having those ladies in the first place means no Babymetal at all. Imagine only having these musicians with a male vocal as the band will just probably turn into a typical hard rock or metal band that we already have like what? a hundred? 200? 500, or a thousand of them around the world. And don't get me wrong, again these musicians are great, but without the ladies that a few people here may be hating means no uniqueness at all.

oh, there's also a kawaii metal song by IOSYS called 今夜はヴァンピン☆全世界ナイトメア from their 2013 album, but that might or not be older than BabyMetal since it seems they were formed in 2010 but their debut album was released in 2014? I'm not sure

The western guitarists and the bass player are members of the band Galactic Empire. The western drummer, Anthony Barone, is an ex-Shadow of Intent. They toured the US in 2019 and Europe until March 2020. They also played on two concerts in Japan in January 2020.
They all have at some point. The more common lineup & backups, Leda, Ohmura, Fujioka(RIP), BOH, Hideki, and Yuya Maeta are the ones that are more recognizable but some have only played one or two time and for smaller shows. The LEGEND I Kami Band for example, Leda, SHIN, RYO, and SHIREN. Legend Z had IKUO, before BOH joined the very same year in 2013. There was also that time when BABYMETAL opened for Lady Gaga and Guns N Roses, where they had a different drummer, and bassist. Same with one festival show they had in Japan. ISAO joined the lineup when Mikio died but has played for the Yokohama 2015 show and a couple of others. Also considering now, the Western Kami Band (american Kami Band) with Anthony Barone from Beneath the Massacre, and CJ Masciantonio, Chris Kelly, and Clint Tustin from Galactic Empire. 3/4 in fact did play for BABYMETAL so 🤷
