    The lure is designed the rapala tail dancer and all lures to a maximum depth of working and as you go deeper the water pressure acts against the lure as well and its balsa you can over come some of this by a depth adjuster

      Red and white work best on snapper with blue and silver a close second forget green and yellow it doesnt turn them on as you need to look at what they like pillys squid prawns crabs whitebait etc its the science of replicating what they like sorta like steak eggs and chips for us regards 😊😊😊😊😊

    Great vid mate!!! Love trolling hard body lures for Snapper over here in NZ. I use the Dr Evil gold mullet dazzler. I find trolling them in around 13-11m is a sweet spot. Also another way to know how much line to let out consistently is to use multi coloured braid. I let out 50M and cruise at 5-6 km.

      Thanks mate, I do love my Snapper trolling I use a couple of different lures and troll between about 12 meters out to about 20 meters I use coloured braid I troll slower than you as slow as the motor will go with slight pulses. Haven’t tried trolling that fast tight lines Dave

      George Mole thanks George I have been experimenting for the last 5 weeks and caught a few quality fish, more work needed, I’ve discovered a few lures and have been venturing wider out to about 60 feet, how long have you been Snapper trolling and where do you fish

      George Mole There epic fish George Morton Bay seems to be a fantastic place for Snapper trolling. What depth are you trolling and at what depth are you lures running. I’m always fascinated to see we’re they are sitting in the water column. Tight lines Dave

    Can't help wondering if a 6" steel trace would stop those bite off's. Even if it stops 1 in 50.......'Cause it will not only save your lure but you will catch the fish. 6" Thin black trace should not impact on the action.
    Just say'n.....

      John Savage I’m just going to stick with the fluorocarbon maybe go to 25lb, I haven’t seen any videos when they are using wire. Random stuff happens first time I’ve been bit off, appreciate the input, have you given the trolling a crack ?

    • @leemccullough558
      @leemccullough558 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try the black wire its about trial and error theres a red one too at b.c.f or k.martif it saves your lure yeh.i.use em a kingy will bote you off and sharks even jacets in plague schools 😊😊😊😊regards😆

    What’s a good speed to troll for snapper? Is it the same speed for pelagics 6-7 knots!? Also does the depth dive come down to how light a line you use?

    • @aussfish9995
      @aussfish9995  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Troll as slow as you can I use a very thin 25lb braid and let out about 45 meters it will get the lure a little deeper
