HANDS DOWN best gaming poscast out there. The production quality is excellent. The live B-roll footage spliced in during the convo, by Shane, who is managing and hosting the show at the same time as he actively manages the clips via the tricaster, is a feat unseen within the gaming podcast community of creators . Great show! Just ask TH-cam audience questions so we can have dialogue and discussions in the YT comments section! Keep up the calls to action! And, you should hop in the comments here too! Top comment here should be from you guys! A question! 'What are your Turkeys of 2024!' Then PIN it to the top! --------- Great episode as always bois. Been a SIFTr since the websites beta phase, and Glad to see you making changes that are showing you the importance of using the algorithm to boost your views, engagement and audience!
PSP & PS VITA were KILLED by the memory more than any other reason. UMD could have been MINI-DISC, those I own now at least Still WORK, even today. But Sony needs to stop putting *square wheels* on my "fast car!"
@Shane @Matt I understand why you both don't care about streaming, but I do want to have the flexibility of streaming games in my own collection (like Metaphor Re:Fantazio, rather than only the games that are in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue. I'm already paying for a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate anyway. Having said that however, streaming a game that is installed on your Xbox is already possible via remote play and doesn't require a Xbox Game Pass sub. It's meant to be used for local network play but it also works online apparently. The local method performs quite well.
I give on twitch. Pachter used to lovingly make a comment about twitch prime to keep you in "Mac and cheese". I always thought that would make a great t-shirt. Possible merch idea! I would buy! PS. Are you a fan of mac and cheese, always been curious! :D Keep up the great work!
I just bought Star Wars Outlaws due to the recent patches. I wasn't interested in playing instant-fail stealth missions, so the fix was what tipped me to buy it.
24:00 I can see Sony and XBox having a portable for 400-500 and have the adapter with extra gpu/cpu power for 200 and call it the next system alternative. You can get one box with nothing, you can get the disk drive for it as extra, or you can get portable and have the dock for the same power which costs more overall because of screen and all that. And btw I would love to have this model over just console. The amount of times I play my Deck while laying down or if I could not sleep so I pop a Balatro is higher than opening my PS5 these days. The problem is I want to play the games on my PS library natively. I don't wanna buy some again as it is included in my sub with PS Plus which I already paid for. Whoever makes a client for deck/linux for their game service platform will win my money at this point. Gamepass or PS Plus I don't care, there is already a device just make an app for it! Not cloud, not streaming but an actual client for Deck! Stop spending stupid money and partner with Valve how hard is that you money hungry multi billion time wasters.
Regarding the A.I talk, the models now are not just prediction machines what you think they are. gpt o1 is very impressive with reasoning. If you have ever used it for programming you know it is not limited in the way that you are describing. I'm sorry you are looking very short sighted with this. Don't forget this is also the worst it is ever going to be.
I really enjoyed Shenmue 3, loved the music too. Right from the start you should win a lot of money with those ball games then buy a 100 Apples and you never have to worry about Stamina again
Matt quoting Lizzo cracks me up. I have a Steam Deck for emulation and Steam sales. I have a Switch for the exclusives. I’m not getting a new PSP. I’m surprised the Portal even sold what it did. Surprisingly enough SW Outlaws only went down to $40 so far. Usually Ubi has $30 or less by now. Shows they’re trying to make up the revenue.
@Matt you are talking about two different actors. Pierre Taki was the actor in Judgement who originally played the Yakuza boss and was re-voiced and visually altered. I forgot the name of the actor in Yakuza 5 but he played the shady cop. Both actors were caught with drugs though.
I bought a Steam controller because I hate using WASD keyboard layout to move your character. That's where controllers are better. Mouse is great for aiming but a keyboard to move? No thanks!
@shane When say look at what Nintendo is doing? That doesn’t mean Nintendo is making those games with their internal studios. Most Nintendo games are not made by Nintendo first party studios like Smash Bros Ultimate is made by Bandai Namco and Metroid Dread is made by Murcury Steam. Nintendo just doesn’t like crediting studios with a splash screen at the beginning to keep the perception that all the games are made by “Nintendo”. That’s the same for PS5 exclusives like Stellar Blade Granblue Relink, FF7Rebirth or Rise of Ronin. All that matters is if it’s exclusive or not
I love the anti-AI rant! I have a toe in the concept art world, and AI reared its ugly head there earlier than it's larger debut and use. The way I've been watching it just lurching forward without signs of stopping is pretty disheartening. Matt's exactly right in that it produces slop, but tragically that seems to be enough for many people. Great show!
Why does matt always bend over backwards to try to defend a game. Is it just to say that this game, That I really like it doesn't have bugs. That's just how the design is.
Helping to keep up the gameface growth one comment at a time.
This podcast is like an oasis of smart, considered game discussion and frankly, decency.
I was stuck in traffic on I5 in LA when this went live. Took 12 hours to get from San Diego to Sacramento.

Always great to see a new episode drop on a Monday morning

Another banger show from the best gaming podcast!
Always look forward to this episode.
Matt's reaction to Dynasty's Warrior's combat gave me a good laugh. Great podcast
Great discussions as always

Thank you for another great episode!
Where is the Microsoft QA testing to catch more of these bugs before a game launches?
These guys are great!
Best in the biz!
Great episode guys
Great show guys.
