- S.N.F.U over from Canada, and on my birthday so took a stroll down the Sir George Robey in Finsbury Park with a box full of S.N.F.U albums, which promptly got sold to eager punters. I now had money, and all the rest is a bit of a blur. Vocalist Chi Pig of S.N.F.U (along with Joseph I from the Bad Brains) gives one of the most memorising performances I have been lucky to witness. Support on the night (and looking through my TH-cam channel uploads) predictably enough was Snuff, so an extra spirited birthday night it (probably) turned out to be. S.N.F.U / SNUFF - Never seen a poster like it, sadly in my state I did not take one off the wall of the pub. Or if I did, I probably left it on a train or something. Not too much to write now, as I have a very limited memory of the night. I wasn't mugged on the way home so that would have been a plus.
My band had the privilege of opening for SNFU 06/11/88 at 924 Gilman Street! What a night, but this show even topped that night! Thanks for the memories and R.I.P. Mr Chi-Pig with legs attached. The quest for fun is never ending and the memories live on!
Oh my God! Looking through some SNFU stuff after the sad sad news of Ken's death and found this!! I was there!!!!! What an amazing find. I went because Snuff were good Mates of mine, then this band came on and blew me away!!....thank you so much for posting this...I never would have believed someone filmed this.....Thank you so much...R.I.P. Chi Pig...you Rocked.

for everyone focused on his demons, he beat them, they came back and...maybe not like the first 3 lps, they were legit...one of the best bands Epitaph could scrape up that were not one of the cookie cutters. they came to buffalo on this tour/era and remains one of the most intense punk shows ive ever seen. not a bad song on the first three...not many punk bands can pull that off. chi pig was a great guy.
I seriously felt like I lost a friend. R. I. P. KEN. We loved you.
Too weird to live; too tough to die. In their time, SNFU made an indestructible mark on the face of modern rock. Their legacy continues to define the heights that honest musicians can reach. This performance drips with energy, I could barely imagine what it felt like in the venue!

im from la oc cali and the tours in 86 87 and 89 were all at fenders ballroom in long beach met and talked w snfu before the 86 and 87 shows and were epic shows so was this tour behind stick in the eye album.some of my all time favorite 80s punk shows and ive seen almost all old school bands but these canadian boys were by far one of the greatest ive been honored to share a slice of life with and will be a part of me forever.a life changing experience il always hold dear to my heart and the memories are enbedded internally in my soul forever! some good bc bud with snfu and the chi pig experience what more could jah have created with such oddball perfection he musta. been talking to kenny chi thru the same burning bush as moses got the 10 commandments from! and on the 8th day jah was high and created snfu ay? entertainment at its finest! long live snfu!! some of my best memories! fuck were getting old now one day there really will be no tomorrow! and i know,,,,,,,,

I filmed some of this. My mate Simon hired the camera and shot just about it all but I used to cover for him when he wanted to get down the front :-)

After today’s sad new, it was great to see this. A Painful Reminder indeed I think it was a few days before they where in Nottingham, an unforgettable gig.
