aww dang, what a good story... let me explain it a bit: the boy and his peers are part of a magical academy. on this day, everybody is getting ready to meet their familiar. after the teacher demonstrates the creation process, the kids draw circles on special papers to summon their companions. however, unlike the other children, the boy is unable to summon an animal and ends up with a circle-shaped creature. disappointed, he flees swiftly from the classroom. we get a flashback to the boy's traumatic past. it seems he lived through a period of bullying where the other kids shamed him for his art. potentially, this explains why he could not summon an animal - he had no confidence in his drawing abilities and thus lacked the "essence" to make a typical familiar. back to the present day - a girl follows the boy out of the classroom, gently tossing his familiar towards him. the familiar stops at his feet and does a little shake, greeting the boy. still upset about his perceived incompetence, the boy ignores the ball and walks away. fast forward to a later day. again, the girl attempts to get the boy to interact with his familiar. despite her repeated efforts, the boy is always shown turning a blind eye to the ball. one time, the girl drops a stack of papers on the floor, and the boy stoops down to help her pick them up. as he is about to leave, the girl holds the ball out to the boy with a smile, as if to say "please... take it!" the boy grins a little, and the girl chuckles kindly. alas, the boy acknowledges the ball's presence and begins to accept it as a friend. in the scenes he was previously shown in (his home, the hallway, and the gym), he is now accompanied by the ball. all seems well... until one day, disaster strikes. as the children play outside with their familiars, a blaze erupts in the classroom. all of a sudden, the halls are consumed by leaping flames which consume the familiars and their birth papers. the kids are devastated. we see the stark contrast between their carefree days with the familiars and their solemn, mournful present. the cheerful girl from before is now seen with tears streaming down her face. we are now in the art room. miraculously, the boy's familiar has not been wiped out by the fire. as the boy stares into the canvas, he comes face-to-face with his fear of drawing, which manifests as a black void. he looks distraught, but his familiar bounces near him as if to say "im here for you." after leaning forward, he jolts back up with a determined expression. he wants to bring closure to his grieving peers. beckoning everyone into the art room, the boy gets to work making pieces of each child and their familiar. he draws on the special paper we see at the beginning as an homage to the familiars' origins. the kids are in awe at the boy's abilities. for what feels like the first time, people are treating him nicely and embracing him into their circle. as the ball bounces up and down in the foreground, a group of smiling kids line the background. in the last shots, the girl and the boy exchange bittersweet grins. :]

Even without the subtitles I can understand what's happening and I love it. Probably the first time that I ever focused on the animation more than the song itself, but it's still a banger. Great job on this one
I am looking to foward to see that when, once these bands are making their major debut with major record labels (e.g. Sony Music Japan, Universal Music Japan, Warner Music Japan, Toy's Factory, A-Sketch, etc), they can have their songs featured as an anime tie-ups songs one day. yourness are still under HIP LAND MUSIC CORPORATION, which is an indie record label specializing for up and coming Japanese music artists though.
