I have two small kids and…. It’s honestly horrible seeing how my oldest expects the world to be painful and scary at most turns…. Her understanding of scary is really screwed….. she hears that something new happens and she’s trying to comfort the adults around her because we aren’t used to this like she is…. She grew up knowing we couldn’t find her formula as an infant, grew up so far knowing there’s multiple illnesses happening that could just kill us suddenly (due to medical reasons) she knows people are dying and losing everything and she’s just…. Emotionally disconnected because she heard of a major mass shooting mins from our home and…. She’s normalized these pains already and she’s almost 2

Anytime I hear about the Chinese Zodiac now, I remember a character I based on it. Every year she rotates through the cycle of animals on the Zodiac: last year she was a tiger, this year she’s a rabbit, etc. (I made her last year so she was kind of made to _be_ a tiger, but it still kinda works)

It’s called “Three Months May” because 1: the main protagonist’s name is May, and 2: the main story takes place during 3 months (though ironically none of them are the month of May; it’s June, July, and August). It’s mainly about a girl who’s approached by an evil figure who tells her that they’re gonna make Earth miserable for the funny, and the girl sees it as the perfect opportunity to make more friends to help her take down the bad guy. Some other characters have their own stories happening too, like an older girl who’s searching for her long-lost sister.
