This footage was of prog and not optimal play, Your right it can be used off cd on most fights without issue. Only time to delay bone shield is when you want or need the ms and don't want to risk nitro back fire or its on cd eg- sinestra, or council if your going to chase a tornado, conclaive if you swap platforms or have to kite on Anshul etc etc, or if you want it to eat a specific tank buster mechanic .
DK tanks are HORRIBLY OP!!! It's soo outlandish and been a looong while since we have seen a tank nearly doing the same dps as the "lowest dps". I noticed it in cata heroics and raids... That vengeance buff stacking with DK's and Paladins in particular is something else. It's extra noticeable in 10 man raiding...
Through all of wrath tanks have been able to chase and beat bottom performing dpsers. Vengeance does make it alot easier to do so now. I think over powered is the wrong term. Over performing compared to the other tanks, sure, but each tank has their own specialties and DKs favor raiding.
@@riggz_gaming Not true! In 10 man raiding a tank in WOTLK never came close to what you're doing here. In 10 man raiding it's bringing another DPS, I have worked with many tanks and DK's are by far the most powerful ones out there. Even the ones that don't try; "bring the player not the class" ====> Sure blizzard, sure... Same goes for UH DK dps in dungeons and 10 man raids... It's still the same old story, some people are carried by class (not insulting you personally or targeting you just stating the facts about the inbalanced nature in PVE)
I think that theres too many variables in play making it hard to state the damage strength of the tank. If you have equal gear, chain pull, between 4 and 5 mobs active at all times, then ofc aoe specialised specs will dominate in 5mans tanks included. In raids single target specs will rise to the top. Looking at the warcraft logs for week 1 and 2 of cata i think youll find in a raid environment the tanks are below everything but frost mages.

Jesus I do not miss wow, I forgot how overwhelming the UI with all the addons could be. Weird seeing Cata content after so long
That fight was the most intense, especially as the solo tank.
This overwhelming UI is just a preference, you can raid with a completely minimal setup. My raiders even raid with their screens off
