  • Day 1: Ascent to the Mittellegi Hut 3350m
Meeting point is at the Eismeer Station, on the Jungfrau Railway,
Having roped up we set out to traverse the Challifirn.
As soon as the Bergschrund has been climbed we change to the rock face and continue upwards in a grade 3+ in order to reach a prominent rock band that can be followed all the way to the hut.
The location of the small hut exposed on the narrow ridge is spectacular and can boast the best sunsets for miles around.

These are some of the best videos of this kind i must say. Very authentic. I particularly enjoyed watching Ueli's footwork. It's clearly visible that he is on a different level even from the more experienced hikers. Thanks for sharing.

Ueli the guide is so confident and sure-footed with excellent balance. He has a calming presence but his strength and experience is instantly apparent with every step.Would love to climb with him.

Awesome! I have a question, why attach a rope to each other without an anchor on the rock ? If one slips, the other too? I'm a complete noob that's why I'm asking

Please ¿What kind of rope did you use in the Mitteleggi ridge? ¿30 meters or 40 meters? Thank you !!!!

Hi Joslu, the doubles are all equipped with a ring and are all 20 meters long so your rope must be at least 40 meters, however ask Grindelwald Sport Center for confirmation, they will give you 100% accurate information
