Unfortunately the afternoon of plane spotting made my leg hurt like heck but it was well worth it. It’s been something I’ve been looking forward to for a few months since I’ve known about it.
@@DalesPlanesandTrains I am so sorry to hear that. It does take quite a while after a break in a joint to heal. I hope you progress as the summer comes in. I am from an Airline Family and I worked at Belfast International Airport "Back in the Day". Aer Lingus 3 days a week their big gleaming Boeing 707 would come into the Airport and leave just after 12 noon. Those 4 big jet engines did more for me than any other aircraft landing )at that time. It was the beginning of the era of the Jumbo Jet but Belfast (Aldergrove Airport) as it was called then had no runaway long enough for them. The Route was Belfast then into Shannon to pick up more passengers and then across the Atlantic to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. For several years I would stand, 3 times a week and watch this display of elegance take off and leave a young girl desperately wanting to be on that aircraft. Eventually, it happened and here I am today, living just outside of Toronto. One of my sons is a Captain here with our Major Airline and the other one is working on getting his Commercial Licence too. Ever since those days, Aer Lingus is my very favourite airline. It does come into Toronto Airport (at this time of year daily). They have just put on an A 330 and the amount of people who take photos of it coming in, landing and taking off is incredible.
