Seems like you don't add store bought potting soil into the pots your planting your fruit trees in. You only used composted cow and rabbit manure?

@@marycountry They don't just depend on themselves. They share where they purchase things, they sell alot at the Farmer's Market, and more. Be careful to not make up things. We are creatures of habit - and lies will grow when we don't realize we are falsifying facts. I'm touchy about this because our country is run by Crooked Elites who reward the wicked. It's a constant battle on internet to get the truth because the Technocrats prefer to lie, deceive. Please don't take offense. Our USD has no real value, it's a fiat (French for forced) and That's because of constant lying by elites, politicians! Looks like we don't have any credible people running for US President next term. Rand Paul is teaming with Trump - both are CIA operatives. Ron Paul was kicked out of Russia because they found out he was ALSO a CIA agent along with the guise of elected official. Dr. Ted Gunderson said this. He was also poisoned with arsenic. A CIA favorite poison😣
We need to be diligent, vigilant. I've had some really rough times because of corruption, still do. We can't let them steal our center.

I just love watching you two get along so well and have such great stuff to watch. I’m always in wonder of how in the world y’all can do it all from the planting, feeding animals , cooking from scratch, cleaning, taking care of children,TH-cam videos and editing and everything else you do in a day. Can you do a video on how you get your energy? Do you take a specific vitamin or have a secret diet to help or something? I think it might just be the joy you have with each other. Hey, guys! I live in the North Florida Panhandle, Zone 8b. We have LOTS of Satsuma and Meyer lemon trees here, and so far, I've planted to Meyer lemon trees at my new home, and will be planting Satsumas this year. My neighbor's daughter has both in her yard, and he brought me bags of them last year. As for the Satsumas, they are wonderful for fresh eating, and last year I made lots of satsuma jelly. Not only are Meyer lemons good for juicing and cooking (I do a lot of Greek cooking and use tons of lemons), they are thin-skinned and make the absolute best lemon marmalade and lemon jelly! You won't believe how much juice you get out of one lemon, either. Sarah, those Key limes are small, but they make some awesome key lime pies.

    • @Jaynes-Path
      @Jaynes-Path 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree with the Meyer Lemon admiration. We love ours as well. It's growing much better than the Key Lime or Nectarines that were all started at the same time. My son bought himself a juicer just for the Lemons and all the health benefits they give plus their great taste.

As someone who sells plants and trees online I was terrified at your unboxing and planting. I love you guys, so much- but. moving forward. Please unbox your plants/trees indoors in a darker room and let them acclimate for at least 48 hrs. After that, it is the same as vegetable start acclimation. Pot up after a week of rest and acclimation. Opening them in the straight up sunlight and even shading them on a hot metal trailer out of the box is a thing that made me OH MY GOSH. If they die, or go into super shock is on you guys. I know everyone is super excited, but this was not the way to do this. Did I mention I love you guys? Thanks for all the awesome videos and my love and I are always joking about buying your place when you go!

We have 3 citrus trees in our passive solar greenhouse that is just off the back of my handmade, ceramic, mosaic/shaped tile, art studio at our homestead here in East TN. My favorite is the Calamondin (Calamansi) tree, which is very hardy and pest-resistant. It also goes by the Philippine lime or Philippine lemon. They are a tart little orange that grows an abundance of fruits. They make the BEST bundt cake ever and a great summer drink similar to a lemon-aid. We're not very partial to sweets, so this fruit is perfect. We also have a Key Lime and Mandarin Orange. I just started another dozen Calamondin trees from seed. No grafting is needed with this citrus tree.

Those are very nice looking citrus trees. Satsuma varieties are slow growing compared to other variety of citrus but they are more cold tolerant than most and they are so delicious! Good luck with your citrus trees. They need well draining soil and a good citrus fertilizer. Be careful not to overwater them, they dont like wet soil. Watch out for spider mites and other pests. I live in cold zone 4 and I have a Satsuma planted in ground, in a unheated, partially underground greenhouse and it has produced some beautiful, great tasting fruit . It is slow growing

I so miss living in Missouri. Was just east of Independence in Oak Grove. Moved to south west NY state in 93.. so want to go back.

You are going to love, love, love the limes for cooking. Key limes are pungent-citrus, tangy, and floral tasting all at the same time. Yumm!

Blueberries, I have been told should have 3 different varieties to do best and then wood chips spread around. Mine do great this way, not in pots. Gallons and gallons from 5 plants.

In our herd, we use names that show the lineage of the cow.
Example: Honey (cow) had Bit of Honey (F), Honeycomb (F), Son of Honey (B), Drop of Honey (F), Sweet as Honey (F), Sue B's Honey (F)

Great video. I live in Zone 10 in San Diego so ALMOST anything can grow here. I’ve got an orange, lemon and tangerine that are fruiting, really feels great to go pick one to eat. I’ve grown avocado and mango from pits and have gotten them to produce but I’ve also grown avocados, mangos and lemons that have become large trees that never produced anything. If you have the space and time it’s fun to go from pit/seed to tree but if you really want fruit then buys a grafted proven variety. Have you every free-dried orange juice? Thanks for sharing!

I just love seeing all the new baby calves and horses each spring out here and of course baby chicks. Working on getting our new permanent garden going. Burning all the weeds then rototilling, fencing it then setting up the rows. We are in Az but up on the white mountain area.

    I really like your videos.
    Great.
When my cow's are 3rd trimester I bring them in to a calving pasture. Large enough to accommodate all but close enough for me to keep an eye on them.
Calving time is special to my wife and I.
    Keep up the good work.
