in fact, the 1996 lvc line was made on draper looms, the 1937 and 1955 models are so amazing, I have the two 1996 jeans in stock that I cherish and will wear later :') with nice socks and a nice natural cotton t-shirt it's impossible to go wrong
Hi Dan love you channel.. I’m in between one of the 47 variations - Masonic wash.. should I stretch them out or will they shrink down? It’s an inch both ways
Distressed won’t shrink. Only rigid. But they might loosen up a quarter in the waist after getting wet or with wear. Only rigid is stf. 47 run tight. I’m usually a 31 but I have to wear 33 for 1947.
I was given two pairs of actual unworn/unwashed 1947 501s by my father in law who went into the air force and never wore them. I sold them to a shop for $400.00 about twenty years ago. The man said he had a buyer in Japan for $1,1000.
I have the Premium series 501 Blast of blue selvelge 100% cotton (my preference). These were made in China. Not a fan of made in China, HOWEVER, the denim, feel stitch quality and fit IMO an excellent garment with a clear focus on quality. $103. Reg $148. I suspect an effort to make an upscale quality garment. Go figure...Im buying a second pair 100% cotton when on sale
sadly i would want the cone mills but the 501 patterns. they just fit and look different from every angle. buying cone mills gap or other brands don't do it for me since they are using new modern denim fits and most of them are low rise or too modern of a fit for my liking
Hi Den, long-time fan first-time commenter. My pair of Harajuku 47's they released last year have been wearing in fantastically. I was wondering if you know/have heard whether LVC is really going to be closing the shutters after this season. I hope it's not the case, but if so- they certainly chose a great theme to end on. I'm looking to grab the 1st blue jean and the 1870 duck pants (not sure if those will be shrink-to-fit). Do you know if the 1901 repro has launched in the US yet? I hope I didn't miss it as I saw the euro release was last month. Be well, Chase
This season has been a botched release. I think only 1937 Japan have been dropped in US. I’ve heard some rumors. I’ll talk all about it on the livestream on May 20.
@@denindenim Thanks for the response Den! Feels like US collectors continue to be getting the short end of the stick. Looking forward to the livestream- happy 150!
Glad you support unbleached apparel! I recently found out about them and love their message
My favorite is the 37s but the 47s rock too. Nice video as always
Hello from FRANCE, cool, great videos, thanks.

Whoa, Oldblue! Shoutout from Indonesia 🙌
Oh heck yeah, your channel is still going!
Every 2 or 3 weeks I got a new video. Working hard through the 501 story

I love hearing stories like this. It’s one of the unexpected but human parts to this channel.

Are they using draper x3 looms on the newer made in Japan LVC 501 47d?
No. The good Kurabo denim is done on Toyoda looms.

You forgot to mention the tear up jeans
The week I posted it, I found three additional variations.
Good video ®️🇺🇸✌🏻
1947 the best
1947 and 1966 two of my personal favourites
