Quick one on the jacket, it's not a 501 but a 507xx Type II produced between 1953 and 1962. same one as worn by Martin Sheen in the movie Badlands, there's also pics of Elvis wearing one. I'm lucky to own an original but you can buy remakes by Levis Vintage Clothing.
HUGE problem to find them end 70 in Italy, we gave money for first pair 501 32/34 to friends going to Florence, made in USA got to be the damn stone washed. and after that there was the issue of the boots , bloody expensive they were indeed.Teens problems were different.

Everyone is forgetting that it is the production company wardrobe department who decide what the actors wear on set. I have little doubt that their was (and still is) a lot of corruption and monies passing under the counter. Meanwhile, rival companies can supply popular actors with their everyday atire. The same happens every time a drink is poured on screen and prior to the standardized packaging, the same was true of cigarettes. Joe public can be very gullible at times. 😊
