  • French farmers took their protests to Brussels on Tuesday. Their protest movement has been growing across France inspired by similar demonstrations in Germany and the Netherlands. The farmers are angry both at the EU and the French government for what they say are rising prices, taxes and unreasonable ecological legislation.

Instead of banquets after meetings of the elite and politicians that drive these wars, take a sandwich to work with you or make your own salad, bring your own bottled war and use the internet facilities for your meetings rather than using expensive private jets. Give the farmers what they are due. They need to be in the field looking after their crops.

Farmers feed the world and should be given reprieve, with sanctions against cheap imports.

It's not only cheap imports, it's low quality meat, low social system which doesn't respect their own people... you can't have the same price when the rule are dishonest and when meat come from Slavery states... In EU especially in France, there are harsh rules, right about social, but also about quality, pesticides, water quality, anti-pollution normalities etc... the fight is not fair.

EU is not responsible for the give up of our own gov... if every prime ministres/presidents/head of states of EU countries had balls, they would doi what is right... instead of serving people, they are here to serve their own interests... Bozo did the same in UK, brexit has not change the problem for UK... especially now that the strongest federal bank (ECB) has the hand on the pound (sterling) whenever it wants... Brexit was a bad move, Brits should have elected a strong gov instead of the same clowns than almost all of europe.

Regenerative agriculture is a win win for the land, the animals, the consumer and the farmer. It would do so much to abate climate change if all farmers used the system.

Or the government could simply blame the far-right and pretend it has nothing to do with the influx of cheap wheat and seed oil😅

European farmers have earned lots of of money during the last 20 years, and therefore the price if land has more than doubled.
But this means that news farmers need to take huge loans to get started.
And furthermore small farms are unprofitable because they cannot afford machinery.
So we need a system to save the farmers against themselves. Don't take a huge loan if you cannot make a profit.
