The Bothy section gives me hope for like-minded hu(wo)manity (!), R A S. Thank you. Reminds me of my sojourns with my maternal Grampa Jimmy Brown - Rannoch Station (Polmadie Anglers' Club Rannoch Station Camping Coach holidays, 1963 - 1965.) Fishing on Loch Laidon and the Gaur. Fresh trout pre-breakfast, courtesy of the night-fishermen, followed by a full Scottish breakfast. Wonderful times for this one, then an early teenager. Thank you once again for transferable Memories, hopefully to be re-visited one of these old afternoons. Rab 🍻😎
@@RavenAboutScotland still here just at the opposite end of the glen park, always working away keeping busy... Im glad to see you're doing well tell Margaret I said hey 🙏
Been in there loads of times Kevin while fishing and camping at Loch Dee, cracking big brown trout in that loch, but a bit hard to catch. Nice bit of surfing on the Rosnes Bench. lol
@@RavenAboutScotland At the time when I fished Loch Dee you did need a permit, it was the Newton Stewart Angling Club that had it. I'm not sure if they still have it as its been a few years since I last fished there.

That rune stone is an old poem and its written in reverse. Its not Vikingr neither and judging by how deep the carving s its not that old. I forgot the name of the poet but the poem is called The Mystery. There are said to be six more stones in the area.
My ancestors the logans lived at Black Laggan. my late dad could remember the farm as a very young boy. Stunning scenery. Thank you for sharing
Very welcome , its great to get more info in the old places i find , thanks Atb K
