    Hey Doug,
    I remembered you saying a replay setup before, like creating your own solution for that?, Haven't you solved your problem?
    Thanks

      It still isn't done. I haven't had any events where I've needed it for a while so the project isn't getting any attention.

    Hey Doug, great video! How hard was it to run additional wiring since the walls were finished? Also, what is your current power draw when everything is in use?

      @djp_video  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Brian! It was actually pretty easy since the wall supports run horizontally. I just used my wire fish pole kit. Push it in from the back side of the trailer until it works its way all the way down the wall, attach the cables at the other end, then pull them back through. It only takes a few minutes in most cases.
      Power draw ranges from about 600W to around 2800W. The Air Conditioner by far draws the most, at around 1600W.

    How do you stow the swing out flat screens when you're underway so they don't get banged up? I really enjoy your videos...

      For the one at the replay desk, I use a locking mount: www.amazon.com/dp/B072N8PSNR/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdo_t1_r45iDbXVGCM6A
      For the one at the Engineer station, I just have a piece of webbing attached the the wall with clips that go around the monitor to hold it in place.

    So still no Fridge in the Trailer? :p
    I guess you don´t want to talk about it but I can ask - do you have any security systems put in place in the trailer?

    • @djp_video
      @djp_video  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A refrigerator would push me past my power limit. Ice in a cooler works pretty well.
      There are both passive and active security precautions in place (physical and electronic) protecting the trailer and its contents, and like the rest of the trailer, it's being improved constantly. Some protections are visible, most are not, and most have at least one level of backup. (For example, I have at least 3 ways of tracking its location.) In addition to off-the-shelf security products, I've supplemented with my own. If something were to happen to the trailer or its contents I'd receive several types of alerts in about four seconds. It's probably overkill, but I want to be careful.

      @@djp_video the Question about the Fridge was not serious ;)
      I don´t know if you already have or wether theyre legal over there - but I would ad an Beacon that transmits a Signal in the UHF-Bands if an Alert goes of. GPS Locations and / or Cellphone-based Locations can be off quite a bit if the Reception is blocked. So in case you have to find it again a uhf-beacon would be a good thing. You can see examples if you search for "AutomatricsMTrack" but the beacon itself can be built pretty easy.
      Thank you very much for showing your equipment!

    Hey Doug! Sorry for a somewhat off topic question, but I've been wondering what software you are using to control your PTZ camera? We're using a Panasonic PTZ with NDI and I'd love to be able to control it with a Xbox controller. I've tried it through vMix but it doesn't work very well and has a lot of latency. Thanks! :)

      I actually created the software that I use. I've been working professionally as a software developer for nearly 35 years, so it was pretty easy for me to create my own. But mine only works with the Sony SRG-300SE.

    Hi Doug,
    Could you share a schematics of your system. I would love to learn and understand the system

    • @djp_video
      @djp_video  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have any schematics, but there's a lot of info on djp.li/mpuinfo including information cards and a list of video/audio/network connections.

      I've been trying to do all of the videos I can in 4K. It sure does make the rendering and upload times a lot longer, though!

    What?! The stuff runs off of 12V?!

    • @djp_video
      @djp_video  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of it does... the lighting, networking gear, a few of the monitors, all of the SDI/HDMI converters, the NUC computers. Everything else is indirectly connected to a large inverter which will run everything else off of the batteries when needed.
