@@legacycity4359 originally he was stated to be able to stand toe to toe with zilla and was actually taller than him also. He was supposed to know different techniques to kill the gojira species but when the movie came out he can’t even go up against Kong 1v1. Kinda feel like him being that powerful with Shimo as a backup weapon would be too much of a threat to Kong and zilla! Just my opinion tho.

See what I mean?This was a good filler movie, this way Godzilla and Kong will be ready for the next MAJOR threat. Whether that be the Zo-zla-halawa(Evil Gojira Variant trapped in the Hollow Earth, not dead), Destroyah, aliens(Ghidorah family or others), another original Titan or something else is in the air. But it makes sense the only real threat here was Shimo, and she isn't a villain. But, she did make Godzilla feel fear, the only known Titan to do so.

They actually put ghidora out there too early in my opinion. What I was saying is that if skar king was at his original leaked size with Shimo being that big then the villains would be OP! Skar was originally supposed to be capable of taking on Godzilla alone!

Had Kong and Godzilla scared stiff? Don't bullshit, Kong nor Godzilla were scared of him, they were ready for battle and eager to take the fight to him, Kong literally stood up to him and his hench-apes alone, and he didn't look scared stiff to me.

To be honest he wasn't that smart any other villian could've did what he did if they had the crystal to control shimo....he was supposed to be smart and cunning not relying in brute strength to win battles but his intelligence....however the only feat the movie gave him was that crystal to control shimo nothing else about him

@D_megapronz you did see at the end that shimo becomes kongs pet right and returns to his kind in which he will probably be their new leader. When Scar king lost the crystal during the fight he was literally powerless so without him holding that crystal and sending his dog to fight his battles he's pretty much useless on his own.

I think that if the Skar King was younger he would have fought better. He relied on his control over Shimo, and didn't keep up with his physique. That's why he's so damn skinny and lanky.

They should have saved Skar King and Tiamat for future movies. (Leave them alive in this film.) Skar King is my favourite Monsterverse villain. Him and King Kong are a great match.
I wish future movies would explore the origins of that 'Mega Godzilla skeleton' in GVK (the scene where Kong grabs his newly acquired axe) and that COLLOSSAL skeleton-like bridge. Perhaps they all were at war. (That serpent-like creature would make that mega Godzilla look like a toy. I am wondering if maybe like 2 dozen or so of mega Godzillas needed to fight him/her at once.) Just a theory. I haven't heard any mentions of them in the novels so far. (Don't know about the newer novelization.)

Hopefully they start building more story around plots and themes rather than just cool monsters in the future. I honestly can't see them going anywhere else after this movie. I just watched it in theaters today and it was super fun (9/10), but after it ended I just felt like of empty inside. Like, I needed more. This is a good box office drop, but not if they're gonna keep going in this direction in the future. I would like to see more themes like against pollution (hedorah, man tries to play god (biollante), time travel (ghost Godzilla)
I love the parallel between kong and scar King. One attained power through strength and dominance while the other through fear and cunning. He must be the descendant of the Rival, the one who first defeated a younger godzilla and started the war between their clans.

Skar King Was nerfed by toho because they were afraid he would be too popular. Two years ago he was bigger than godzilla and kong and was sitting on his throne (dwarfing the throne) with godzilla and kongs skulls. He had glowing eyes (which they dont use or explain) and MASSIVE arms. When Toho got more involved they nerfed him down and FORCED legendary to add Shimo (an old toho anguirus design) to weaken scarking and his influence (It did not work people LOVE the Skar King even still). He had agility, intelligence, style, uncanny valley vibes, and good motivations. Toho forced Legendary to make Godzilla into Galactus from marvel. Not only did they nerf Skar King by doing this, they nerfed tiamat, scilla, and ANY AMERICAN MADE TITAN and it was obvious. They wouldnt even let kong get electrical powers. At this point godzilla is so strong why even bring in Space godzilla OR Destroya? Hes just gonna kill them both in one shot.

I really enjoyed GxK. Now could be get sequel that’s more focused on the big G. Just like how we had two great movies that went through Kong story arc. I would like to see Godzilla get some good development in his character. I believe one of those things could be they bring in little Godzilla in.
I pretty much agree with everything said about Skar King except 4 1 thing he strikes me more as a red chimpanzee rather then an orangutan as he’s not as big n bulky as an orangutan he just comes off as an oversized chimpanzee with red hair/ fur, his character is also highly similar to the aggressive n violent nature of a chimpanzee as supposed to an orangutan which is more calm n docile not saying that it can’t b aggressive it just requires more attention in terms of pushing it’s buttons

I must have missed the part where Godzilla was afraid of him. I DO remember him being entirely intolerant of any titan stupid enough to step one toe, hoof, claw, tentacle, or tail out of line and being willing to kill them on sight.

I loved the movie but Skar King was presented as scary or dominant as I thought he'd be. He didn't have the physique to fight Kong or Godzilla. He was smart in a crafty deceiving way but ultimately he was more like a bully that a equal adversary...
Remember that he got hit by Godzilla with purple atomic breath in the back but shrugs it off and continues to run like a zombie and it's unbelievable how fast he is, unlike what Happened to Kong and I did try to compare both Kong and Skar King on their atomic breath run scene. There is no doubt Scar King is the fastest.
Although he is not strong anymore due to being old, We must understand why he can still be an extinction level threat. A fast and super intelligent Titan that commands an army of great apes and has an ancient titan as a stead that he can control to do his bidding.
Skar King is strong and stronger than all his apes, he may not be as strong as he used to be but Kong and Godzilla are just REALY strong
You also have to consider his true danger is the tons of experience he has fighting. The other apes weren't weaker than him physically, but rather they were weaker mentally and he used their fear to control them

Scar King was a chimpanzee compared to King Kong. The fighting between the two felt off balanced. Expected Scar King to be at least the size of Kong. Kong and Godzilla tossed Scar around like Kong tossed Suko around.....and Shimo was never a baddie to begin with; just a slave who could have literally destroyed everything and everyone. Maybe the next G-n-K should be a full on Battle Royal between good Titans and bad Titans. Godzilla, Kong, Behemoth, Rodan and Shimo versus 5 huge otherworldly massive threats, and Kayle Hottle needs to be given way more screen time.

Skarr King is nothing but puuure disappointment! When Legendary introduced him back to April-23, he's been looking quite MENACING, but in the movie he couldn't even beat Kong 1x1, no need to say about single Skarr vs Goji/Kong combined. He's no even close to be called an Alfa, just a boring/badly designed creature, who is gonna be forgotten very soon.
