When the saint lost the idol of perumAL (the one he daily worship), thrown into cauvery by his brother, he composed this kriti, "Endu dAgi nAdo," (Where has the Lord gone and hidden Himself?)
A moving & poignant appeal by the saint to his mind (manasA) and consoling himself that perumAL will appear at the right moment ..
The sentiment was aptly captured by the brilliant vocalist Smt Brinda manickavasagan..A touching and emotional rendering of this less heard todi kriti was mind blowing..kudos to her.👍 The violin support by vidushi deepika was delectable with her suave rAga essays..The percussion support by vidwan Delhi sairam (mridangam) & vidwan anirudh athreya (ganjirA) was nice and their spirited tani with deft touches matched the mood..👏👏
