Bent tree mitigation after wind damage

After straight line winds this sycamore that was planted by More Trees Arborist Collective my guess is 3-5 years prior was bent to be parallel to the ground. Other than the bend I saw no signs of damage, so pulling it back to its presumed original location with the idea in time the trunk will strengthen to hold it in place. In the past I have left the brace in place for a year then loosen to check if it returns to its bent place if it does not I start a loosening process over a year or more depending on how the trunk stiffens to show it will support it self. This was done as a service through More Trees Arborist Collective.
