    How long did it take, from starting point back to the starting point?

      Time on Diamond is highly variable, it really depends on your comfort level rock climbing. It’s not difficult, but there is a lot of climbing and therefore down climbing (which can take even longer). I’ve heard of people who have done it in under 4 hours while others have reported 10+ hours. Really depends on your speed and comfort level with terrain like that. I’d say the average person who is comfortable rock climbing could do it in 6-8 hours at a decent pace. If you are not comfortable climbing or are scared of heights or not been to high altitudes before, then plan on longer.
      It’s always best to start before dawn as there is always a risk of thunderstorms at that altitude. We got a late start because we drove up from Idaho Falls that morning… luckily there was no weather that day.
