thats the bolt catch. once the magazine is empty, there is a nub on the back of the magazine follower that pushes it up. it is pretty much a lever with a hinge on the outside, and the magazine moves it up into the bolts path when the magazines empty. this holds the bolt back so all you have to do is put in a new mag and hit the side instead of cocking it also. hope this helps
It's missing the bolt assembly stripping. For a normal field strip, you only remove the carrying handle, the buttstock, the hammer/gearbox and entirely disassemble the entire bolt assembly (separate the additional weight from the bolt assembly, remove the "inertia amplification (delay) lever", then the firing pin, remove a retaining stub holding the bolt head on the bolt, slide out the bolt head and remove the ejector stub and the bolt obturation stub (its with those two last parts that you switch from right handed to left handed ejection). Easy as a breeze and idiot proof, this weapon was made for conscripts.
***** Well, most of the French troops I've seen use it ran the thing on semi. I've spoken with one that openly felt the AR-15 platform was superior, which I would agree. Still, while quirky, it's still a very unique design. And several models have been manufactured to accept STANAG mags.
***** The issue with delayed blowback systems is that they require more complicated methods of adjustment for rounds of various pressure or certain other characteristics. For instance, the MP5 requires its rollers to be tuned or replaced to maintain reliability and prevent the weapon from battering itself to death. With a gas system, adjustments can be made externally with valve controls and, with long-stroke piston systems like the AK, the mechanism is more simplistic and requires less maintenance and small parts.
***** I've never used a FAMAS, but the French Legionnaire I spoke with seemed to find the M4 superior in almost every way. As to the HKs, in my experience, if it'll jam a high quality AR, it'll jam one of those- they're both tight in their construction. The ARs can be picky, but once you find what they like you're game. Regardless, my go-to rifle is a SLR-106FR 5.56 Kalashnikov.
duuude your videos are more than great ...wondering from where u have such an detail disassembly info? I would enjoy to see SR1MP , SR2MP , SR3MP full disassembly / operation and more Russian Spetsnaz weapons! I'm so subscribed to your channel now ! ;}
I would have thought there was many parts, nice engineering !

That lever-delay is interesting, but darn this thing is violent in its ejection cycle.
***** Yep. From what I understand it was pretty easy to tell where French troopers had been in Afghanistan by the bent steel cases laying around.

I am a fan of his video channel, I would have them do a job operating the machine gun pistol HK vp7 ...03 shots in the system coupled with the butt .
goodnight, excellent channel. It would be possible to design the Galil rifle 556 thank you very much.
It was just cycling rounds, not firing.
It's called the foreward assist... It shouldn't be hard to find.
