  • Disney continues to ride our most beloved Sci Fi franchises into the ground with both The Acolyte and Doctor Who. However, numbers tell us that the people are starting to fight back with their wallets and attention. Plus, Bad Boys Ride or Die proves that people still go to the movies! Will Hollywood learn its lesson?

The idea of failure and how it plays in our development in Last Jedi is a good theme, but in terms of execution, it was very disjointed.
That Power of one song and the Acolyte is so bad.

Where to begin? I will say this, being a GamerGirl myself, you can classify me under one that likes cute chicks in video games. Granted, I'm also a lesbian, not sure if that disqualify me in that regards or not, but is true, I do like seeing those cute chicks in games. And with Star Wars, guess the writing was on the wall all the way back when Disney took a red marker and scratched all the way through the Expanded Universe. A Universe that was built upon for decades by people who were legit fans of Star Wars, and Disney said nope, not canon anymore. And I remember George Lucas in an interview say that back in the 1970s, Disney was one of the studios that turned down the script. I remember that, because I remember thinking they must have kicked themselves for not picking it up. Fast forward, and now, Reverse Irish Whip, and I'm sure George is kicking himself for selling Star Wars to these hacks. And blaming the fans, they really have gone full heel here, well, maybe not full, they've not bad mouthed the local sports team yet, but close enough. And like Jim Cornette said about when Kayfab was still alive and well, there is a reason heels didn't have merch, because no one would buy it. Yeah, best of luck selling merch from the heel Star Wars, and not even the cool nWo like heel either, just get them off my TV type heel. Yeah, I'm sure this Star Wars merch would just be flying off the shelves. 🤦 Also, when you were talking about Power Rangers the movie, I'll be honest, had to grab my phone, because only movie I knew about was 2017, so when the guy was saying he wasn't born yet, I was like WTF, that can't be right. So Google, and guess was one in 1996. OK, that one, yeah, wasn't born yet either, so makes sense now. Let me finish off by saying, mostly due to dad's VHS tapes, Tom Baker is the only Doctor I'm really all that familiar with, so even though it was long before I was born, at the same time, he's my Doctor. Anyways, enjoyed having this in the background for tonight's gaming session, thank you for this.

@TooneyTownTV it's a late 80s British comedy about a man who gets cryogenic frozen on a ship and due to shenanigans awakens far later than expected. It was so popular that Patrick Stewart almost sued them because he thought it was ripping off Star Trek. He watched the first episode and took it back
