Seeing the colors placed on the eyes is a treat! Still leaning toward 11 and 12, but there are other temptations. I thought that there would be there might be one or two that looked better on you, but was wrong. Every single color was absolutely beautiful. Thanks for this more intense review. I received the two I had ordered (Sand Dune and Caviar Pearls) and was so impressed with the formulation that I ordered Warm Ocean Sunset. Lexi, think it was great that you emphasized the importance of matching a person’s personal esthetic with that of the brand. Not every brand is going to appeal to everyone no matter how stellar the formula -and CdP’s new formula is definitely stellar-but fortunately there are so many other brands from which to choose. Personally, I love CdP and have worn it for decades so I’ve been thrilled with CdP’s new formulation. Understated, refined, elegant in appearance and it wears like a dream. Thank you for all the swatches and for your comprehensive and informed comments about the products.

I’ve ordered the Purple quad and I’m already familiar with the Cle de Peau line - it is great quality. I also like the Surratt eyeshadow formula. Great demo ! No one on You Tube does swatch comparisons as well as you do ❤

Your swatches and comparisons always help me so much Lexi, thanks for all the hard work you pour into your videos. How you kept the swatches on one arm and used the other hand to compare was so awesome! I picked up 5 shades in CdP so far and was going to pick up 01 but already have stora dolls so I think I can skip (and pick up 04 instead haha!)
Algae could also be aptly named Old Bruise ... But it's my favorite color in quad 10! Maybe because it matches some of the pigmentation in my eyes. I think quad 4 really brought out some nice color in your eyes.
So pretty. 😊Seeing the closeups this is so clearly an Asian formula. Peripera, Rom&nd and Etude House and others have toppers and primer shades exactly like these 😊 That's really common in Korean eyeshadows. I actually I have identical looking ones to quads number 1 and 2 and 3. satins are a bit less common and seem more of a Japanese thing. But I think you'd be surprised how similar Korean eyeshadows are to these and that starts at the drugstore. It just fits with their esthetics.

I always come back to this video when I order 😂 I ordered 1 and 3 finally. I just need 2 and 5 and I think I'll be good on the CDP quads. I have 4 , 10 and 12 . It's turned into an obsession . I love these , definitely one of my favorite formulas wish they left the perfume out of them but they are so easy to use and always look good no matter what . I bought a Chanel LB pallet in light I had been hunting it for awhile on the Chanel site it keeps going on and off and I got it and was like ahh wish I just bought another one of these.

U think they would tell you on the site what the undertones I guess they think u should guess what B and O And BR mean I'm guessing I'm like 040 or 30 idk I'm trying to get it right 🤣
They should tell you somewhere on the site, it's crazy. B is for beige and O is for olive I believe but please let me know what they say. I10 is the only one that starts with I and it's ivory.

Yeah it's crazy that it didn't say it anywhere on the site I had to go to the chat mode and get ahold of someone that way to find out.
Hi Lexi. Thank you for picking up such a wide range and for showing us all of them. Ocean Sunrise looks perfect on you. I like the saturation of the brown shade on your eyelid. The palettes look lovely. I wish that out of 12 they made a cool and a warm dramatic palette with deeper shades but oh well.

Hi Lexi, have you ever tried to combine the purple quad # 12 with the blue shade in quad # 11 Azure Blue Sea? or quad # 10 Sea Grass? That combo should give us purple-bluish and purple-greenish shades, right? That would be breathtakingly beautiful. When you are not too busy with swatching new releases (which sounds unlikely), could you do a few demos and tutorial videos? We would appreciate learning from your very keen color combination and skills.
Hi Lexi! What a comprehensive feature of the new CdP eye quads - though I have come to expect such perfectionism from you, I am always increasingly impressed! I might go for the 1st quad one and Sea Grass - when they become available here in Canada. Thank you as well for doing comparisons with the new YSL mini clutch quads - I now really-really want Stora Dolls and Trocadéro Nights. Unfortunately, the new YSL quads aren’t available in Canada 😢

These are just beautiful on the eyes. ❤ They wore so beautifully! I thought for sure the green would be the one I’d try first, then the purple or blue. But the browns on your eye were so pretty! The Ocean Sunrise look was gorgeous! (But Royal Jungle is one of my favorite Ombres G quads so I guess I have a type!)

Lexi, these look just as nice on your eye lid as swatched. It was so exciting to see the eye swatches after seeing them swatched in the Live. I didn’t think they would cost over $100 with the case so I’ll probably only pick up a few. I think the blue & purple quads are really pretty but if I’m only going to buy a couple I will probably go for the more neutral ones like 2 & 4. Excellent job comparing & swatching with other brands. I would buy one with case for travel and switch the others out if you purchase more then one shadow quad. The case is beautiful. Love, love ❤️ the swatches.

I've yet to try clea du peau eyeshadows - I will one day. The colour stories just aren't doing it for me. How do you personally rate them to suqqu? I think I'll get the yucca palette from Natasha Denona as I love the Biba palette. I think I've got my mitts on the lavender lustre lipstick 💄
Thanks Elaine! I think both the suqqu and cdp are amazing but I have to give the edge to the new cdp formula. That being said, suqqu still reigns supreme for their color stories and constant innovation.

For this collection I will definitely make the effort to look at the shadows in-store to make sure that I really love them before buying them. Its not even really about the cost. I just dont want to accumulate repeats of colour stories anymore unless the formula is totally different from what I already have. My drawers are bursting with pallettes and it is starting to turn me off. I gave some stuff to my sister but now I want to buy new things that I am sure I will actually use. For example, I love the blue palette and find that some of the shades look unique. However, I have four great blue palettes already, plus a number of single shadows in the blue family. I will make myself take a good look at the CDP counter to verify if the quad is actually going to enhance my collection versus being the exciting new blue quad that looks like the others I have. I am just a regular consumer. Building a TH-cam Channel/Brand that focuses on the best of the best in a lot of French, Japanese, British, and American beauty releases, it is always highly anticipated that you will make the move and order the launch products so that your viewers can benefit from a preview of what is available to them.
That is a great idea Sarah! I think the blue and purple quads stand out the most from my collection but the shades themselves are definitely ones you might have somewhere in your collection.

Lexi I am wondering if you would consider this new formula to be superior to the original formula for their quad shadows. Also can you comment on the formula compared to the TF creme quads? I am curious to know which formula you think is better. Thanks so much!
I think this new formula is slightly improved upon the old formula for their quads. I talk more about it in the live: th-cam.com/users/livewQ_9wooRzb4?feature=share but this one is creamier and smoother yet still seems similar to the previous formula. The TF creme quads are also compared in the live and I think the CdP is better personally but I prefer the smooth, silky texture. They are both giving slightly different finishes on the eye so it will depend on what you prefer.
@@celinag9968 They don't have great sales on their site but a couple times a year they will have one where you can get 10 - 20% off depending on how much you spend. The minimums are pretty high but this is a great time to get their exclusive shades. Otherwise, department stores will be getting these soon and here in the US they will have random gift card events or $ off events throughout the year. Typically once a quarter at least. CdP had their friends and family event in April I think so the next sale on their site is probably not until the Fall but it might be worth waiting for it.
I am not sure. If you don't have a Cle de Peau retailer, then you can go to fudejapan: store.fudejapan.com/collections/cpb These are probably only the refills and not the case but you could message Toshiya at Fude Japan to be sure. (not affiliated)

Hi Lexi, love your videos! 🥰Unpopular opinion, but I'm not impressed, at all. I'll stick to my Dior quints (old formula, of course). Poncho is my favorite one. Guess Cle de Peau "Coral Reef" would be the most similar, but for that price... Never ever. Do you plan picking up more?
The old Dior quints are amazing. I really wish they hadn't changed the formula. I might pick up one or two more at some point but I'm pretty happy with this selection.
As beautiful as the CDP formulas are, these colour stories seem too monochormatic. There are no pops of colour in them that contrast or provide some interesting colour story. Their older quads did a better job of mixing complementary colours and providing some interesting combinations. In Canada they are $140, so I'm going to skip these. Was really looking forward to this launch.

That's a tough choice! They are pretty different but I think I like the ocean sunrise a bit more. There is more variation in the shades.

The violet creme is dustier overall and has a bit more mauve tones in it.

For this collection I will definitely make the effort to look at the shadows in-store to make sure that I really love them before buying them. Its not even really about the cost. I just dont want to accumulate repeats of colour stories anymore unless the formula is totally different from what I already have. My drawers are bursting with pallettes and it is starting to turn me off. I gave some stuff to my sister but now I want to buy new things that I am sure I will actually use. For example, I love the blue palette and find that some of the shades look unique. However, I have four great blue palettes already, plus a number of single shadows in the blue family. I will make myself take a good look at the CDP counter to verify if the quad is actually going to enhance my collection versus being the exciting new blue quad that looks like the others I have. I am just a regular consumer. Building a TH-cam Channel/Brand that focuses on the best of the best in a lot of French, Japanese, British, and American beauty releases, it is always highly anticipated that you will make the move and order the launch products so that your viewers can benefit from a preview of what is available to them.
That is a great idea Sarah! I think the blue and purple quads stand out the most from my collection but the shades themselves are definitely ones you might have somewhere in your collection.

Would today and Dune has a lot of pink in it. I tried the online camera sample on their website and it is coming off very pink, at least on the site
It definitely has some pink in it and perhaps it looks more pink on those with a warmer undertone but for me, it's not that pink on my skin.
Lexi I am wondering if you would consider this new formula to be superior to the original formula for their quad shadows. Also can you comment on the formula compared to the TF creme quads? I am curious to know which formula you think is better. Thanks so much!
I think this new formula is slightly improved upon the old formula for their quads. I talk more about it in the live: th-cam.com/users/livewQ_9wooRzb4?feature=share but this one is creamier and smoother yet still seems similar to the previous formula. The TF creme quads are also compared in the live and I think the CdP is better personally but I prefer the smooth, silky texture. They are both giving slightly different finishes on the eye so it will depend on what you prefer.

@@celinag9968 They don't have great sales on their site but a couple times a year they will have one where you can get 10 - 20% off depending on how much you spend. The minimums are pretty high but this is a great time to get their exclusive shades. Otherwise, department stores will be getting these soon and here in the US they will have random gift card events or $ off events throughout the year. Typically once a quarter at least. CdP had their friends and family event in April I think so the next sale on their site is probably not until the Fall but it might be worth waiting for it.

Hi Lexi, love your videos! 🥰Unpopular opinion, but I'm not impressed, at all. I'll stick to my Dior quints (old formula, of course). Poncho is my favorite one. Guess Cle de Peau "Coral Reef" would be the most similar, but for that price... Never ever. Do you plan picking up more?
The old Dior quints are amazing. I really wish they hadn't changed the formula. I might pick up one or two more at some point but I'm pretty happy with this selection.

You can all get them! They are new. A few have sold out but just temporarily. They are permanent.

They are pretty similar but this is maybe slightly finer and creamier. The primer shade is the biggest difference.

As beautiful as the CDP formulas are, these colour stories seem too monochormatic. There are no pops of colour in them that contrast or provide some interesting colour story. Their older quads did a better job of mixing complementary colours and providing some interesting combinations. In Canada they are $140, so I'm going to skip these. Was really looking forward to this launch.
That's a shame! Perhaps their limited edition quads will be more contrasting.
