I came across a video of KC and a fairly large band from a couple of years ago. KC looks like an overweight truck driver (no offense to truck drivers intended) and his moves looked about as bad as mine would if I tried to dance. Lots of flashy lights but not much energy. If you ever come across such a video don’t watch it. It will ruin the fond memories you have.

This was the mid '70's, and part of the soundtrack of my life.The 70's was the best decade for music, there was something for everyone: rock, R&B, Funk, and even Disco. Then the big hair bands of the '80's came along and that led into grunge in the '90's. Today's music with the auto-tune and computer generated music can not hold a candle to these times. The concerts were epic! Keep going into the rabbit hole of good music, the music I grew up on. You are the best, keep rockin.

On the album, "I'm Your Boogie Man" would play and then it would go right into this song for about 10 minutes of straight jammin. Now you have to do "Shake Shake Shake, Shake Your Booty".

When we went out dancing and they put this music on it didn't matter are color or race we were just one big family dancing our hearts out and enjoying every bit of each other's company.. Guys I just saw him in concert a few years and he was 70. He definitely still got the boogie. He joked that they almost had to rename the band KFC and the Sunshine Band since he had put on some weight. The whole night was a dance party though. If you ever get the chance, it will be worth it.
You guys should have a 70's party with your friends and family. Play nothing but 70's music and everybody has to dress up like the 70s. Have someone video tape the party and post it for the rest of us to see. Don't forget the platform shoes. You will have a blast!!! :)

The only thing I can say about the 70's, I feel myself blessed for being during that time... everything was perfect, we communicated, we talked, we listened to others, we cared for each others Athough we didn't have cell phones ,nor computers we were happy with little. He is still touring and playing today. You can see newer videos here on YT. Seen him twice! In the 80's he all most lost his career and life to drugs and alcohol. In the 90s and 2000's he turned his life around and began touring again to pay off debt. He did trucker conventions and any place that would take him. That was over 20 years ago and he is still going strong. People still love his shows today. He needs to write a book or make a movie of his life. I bet it would be good. Soul Train, club 54, all the discos, famous people and movie stars. Those were the days!
It's addictive to start grooving as soon as they start performing. They are a super fun group. It's better than so much of today's music.. This is what music should be like. The 70's were the best for sure. You can play this while doing housework, or having a BBQ get together in the summer time. It's good vibes for a summer collection playlist.
