    I dont know how your own voice sounds, but i have no doubt it would be better than this. I am only at 3 minutes into the video and already i noticed something was wrong with the beginning of every sentence. I thought it was a mic issue at first, but it seems you used AI to try to enhance it.
    The results are unfortunately not very good. It hurts to hear on every sentence, and I could not imagine standing for a whole 40 minutes.

  • @RacingLineNetwork
    @RacingLineNetwork 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    I love being able to watch these videos, but the lifeless AI can't replicate the feeling or occasional humorous tone that has been in videos before. (Edit to add: Apparently you used a site to improve the quality? I don't entirely hear the original, I only really hear the AI part, and I'm sure the original quality is more than okay.) Just because you _can_ use AI/AI enhancing doesn't mean you _should._ If you're not able to do the voiceover yourself, I'm sure someone like Slapshoes would absolutely love to do it for you. Heck, even I'd do it, but I'm just another guy. Just something that doesn't need an external website where they do who-knows-what with your voice after you've uploaded it.
    If the quality is anything to go by, if you did enhance it, I'm sure the original is more than fine. Way better than a webcam mic from 2010 that's halfway across the room.

    • @kyledorrell2013
      @kyledorrell2013 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was because he lifted for the corner..your comment doesn't make sense. You would gain rpm's and go faster due to the hole being punched in the air in front of them.

    • @coltonbarber2417
      @coltonbarber2417 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kyledorrell2013 That's what I mean. The engine rpms wouldn't increase that quickly if he were by himself. That's why I said "when a car gets in front of him" because he's not punching said hole through the air anymore. Somebody else is doing it for him. Also, he wouldn't be just getting back into the gas on the exit of turn 4 at Michigan. That would be a surefire way to lose a race. You can also physically see when the car moves in front of him, besides the engine rpm's increasing dramatically, he also picks up a few mph almost instantly.

    Was told many years ago by a former PacWest mechanic that they'd gear for 240-250 in the draft with the device on, and 230-240 without it. And to think in 97 CART went hang on, we ar too quick. But, to be fair we got some of the best racing on big ovals tinged with some of the worst incidents though. But I do wonder how the modern car would work with such a device and how it'd affect the racing though
    EDIT: Man, Paul and Parker were a great duo and Parker was so easy to listen to and so well spoken. Jury is out on if he was more eloquent than Sam Posey mind, but....it's close. 2000 was, arguably, the best year for the Hanford Device. No huge or fatal crashes, and the drivers were able to run side by side but not tied up in a pack a la IRL or NASCAR, they were able to move and get out of danger though if needed

Now we only have Indianapolis as the only big track on here, and the only ovals we have are that one, Iowa, Milwaukee, and Nashville SS (which I'll be going to in September). We need more of these ovals in IndyCar. Bring back Texas, Michigan, Chicago, and if they make safety modifications, Pocono. This is why I love watching old IndyCar races.

    There was some absolutely nutty racing on the superspeedways at this time. Really shows how good pack racing can be when done well despite how sketchy it can be with the high speeds and any huge shunts. But I can't help but wonder if, were the Handford device introduced today, people would decry it as gimmicky and artificially spicing up the racing. Kind of surprised there didn't seem to be much dissent at the time, actually.

    Hate to break it to all the folks hating on the AI narration, but you're going to hear it more and more. It's here to stay whether you like it or not.

    RIP Greg Moore. I always thought the Handford device was kinda gimmicky. Eventually the drivers figured out, that leading the race is kinda pointless, because it is impossible to win from the lead. We have seen the same in Formula E. It creates a fake spectacle for the viewers, but it has to be frustrating for the teams and drivers. These were such long races and for like 95% of the time the only thing that mattered was staying on the lead lap. Pretty much like Talladega. It was fun for a while to see which drivers understood how it works and set up their moves a few laps in advance. That Montoya win using the draft of a backmarker was kinda exciting too. But all things considered it was a strange form of racing.
