I will be uploading another video on this game in the future where I will show and go over what each upgrade does and how it affects your car and gameplay and by showing how many hits each bumper upgrade can take before breaking and how much each body armor upgrade will protect you and stuff like that but it might take a while to make since the video will take a lot of editing and with Thanksgiving being close I wont have as much time to edit
At this point I have all of the clips for every upgrade, I just need to delete my game again and re do some of the upgrades since I missed a few details and edit the rest together. this is crazy impressive! currently attempting the great escape version of this challenge and im still getting my ass kicked. all of those fails right at the very end must have been painful lol.
There was alot more failed attempts kinda wish i didnt delete them and turned them into a 3 second clip and made a compilation of it, id say about 50 failed clips i deleted. Also good luck on doing the challenge it was really diffucult for me since i had to practice tunnel drive alot to get better at dodging the debris and bullets. I recommend not going at top speed and mainly staying at 120 or 80kph depending on the area and to maintain your speed more easily i switched my accelerator to numpad 7 to control the speed better.
Also when i first beat the great escape it was a practice run from chinatown and i somehow managed to get lucky and beat tunnel drive and the hardest part about tunnel drive is you have to get into 4th gear at that checkpoint at the end of west ridge and if you fall below 120kph your chances of not making it out on time are high and you have to be really good at dodging the debris. I was at top speed for most of tunnel drive and made it out by 1 and a half second. The shortest i made it out was just a couple of milliseconds and the longest was about 4 to 5 seconds left. Also what happened at 41:56 was just pure luck because for me there was a 60% chance of crashing into the 2 burning cars.
Now government and the military is probably surprised that they could stop every other plain old civilian trying to escape and, despite using all they've got, they couldn't stop this one dude in a mustang from trying to escape.

Before flash got shut down i was planning on making a video where I beat the game in one go with no upgrades and on my past 4 attempts i crashed or died about halfway but on my 5th attempt I got lucky and made it to tunnel drive but since it had been months since i reached tunnel drive with no upgrades and since i didn't practice it i hit the mutant where i crashed during this video when i reached tunnel drive and got killed right at the tunnel because of the nuke, but i might still upload that video clip since it was my closet run.

i know it doesn't matter much now but if anyone is wondering why i drive slow at the beginning of the tunnel drive checkpoint its because on past attempts when the carpet bombing jets show up at that point and im flooring it there is no going back, i have to keep going to get into 4th gear or else i wouldn't have enough time to escape and if i did manage to get to 4th gear the jets would still come at me in tunnel drive and ruin the run by either blowing me up or making me dodge them and crash into something else so i would drive slow and if they did show up id wait for them to return to base then floor its so they wouldn't come after me in tunnel drive but luckily they didn't in this run
Well the only way to get rid of all the upgrades is to delete the game which means you loose everything but what i did to restart but keep all of my stuff was play the game on a different internet browser so that way i could have two files, 1 where i had everything and the other where i had no upgrades.

One of the stupidest upgrade in the game is Engine. With everything else upgraded... I dont see why you would need more speed. Default speed is enough. This game demands quick reflexes and speed gauging. You can't do that if you're too fast and slowing down becomes difficult. I also didn't realize that John can heal from bullets, just needs some time. Sides of screen flash red to indicate critical condition. But yeah, the game requires you prioritize John and Mustang's health then distance covered. That's all.
the engine can help acceleration in dangerous situations but i can see your point since upgrade 3 can make things easier. Also it kinda breaks the car since it has crazy engine braking 2nd gear and below and zombies can cling to your hood going at around 120kph if you hit it right. besides that i think its good but i can see your point, make for a cool challenge though
How come you restart from West Ridge after reaching Tunnel Drive? Doesn't that mean that you had to do the entire thing over again to get back to West Ridge?
yeah and the reason why i restarted from there is because if i start at tunnel drive with no upgrades i wont have enough speed to beat it so you need to restart from there if you die so you can reach top speed before the checkpoint and make it out on time.

I have been attempting this challenge myself on Great Escape, and on my best attempt I was probably three seconds off when restarting from Tunnel Drive. I am always making some sort of blunder though, so I do think it's possible, just pretty tight. I did try restarting all over when I tried to get "Nuke Watcher" before, and I think I found that starting from Tunnel Drive loses you maybe a second. I think the game gives you some advantage for not already being at speed. So if you make it out with just more than one second to spare when trying from West ridge, it should be done within the last second when trying from Tunnel Drive. Thought I would keep trying atleast until I stop messing up to see if it's possible, especially since I have come close before.
@@arntoskarolaussen7900 the most time i had with no upgrades at tunnel drive was probably about 6.5 seconds and even if your run is perfect sometimes the tunnel will spawn a little bit farther making you not able to escape on time. on a run from start to finish the shortest distance it can spawn is 49.63km and the farthest is 49.69 as far as i know. if you do manage to beat great escape with no upgrades or already have then congrats because it is pretty diffucult.
