Did you know that Dimash was invited to take part in the U.S. competition World’s Best? He got to the final three before finding out the other two were children. In the Kazakh culture, adults don’t compete with children, they don’t want their dreams crushed. So he sang the prepared song and asked to say a few words through an interpreter. He thanked everyone for giving him the opportunity, but was withdrawing from the contest so the two little ones could go forward. The prize was one million dollars and Dimash had every chance of winning that but he has enormous integrity. He then had to stand there while judges like Ru Paul berated him, saying he knew what he was getting in to. Dimash stood there respectfully but stuck to his principles. It is all on you tube for anyone to see.
And this was after he was assured there wouldn't be children competing before he even agreed to participate. They straight up lied to him.

I have been listening to Dimash since 2017 and when I see your reaction, I remember my first reaction, which was exactly the same! I am absolutely sure that I can recommend three of the very, very many songs that Dimash has sung to you and I can be sure that these songs will inspire you just as much, every single one.
That would be "Adagio" from 2017, "We are One" from the Covid 19 period and of course "Across Endless Dimensions" from 2019, this song was sung by Dimash for the film "Creators: The Past".

He is 6' 3". And the reason the Dears (Dimash fans) tell you his height is because most reactors think he is small guy. He is so well proportioned and is also so slender in many of his performances without a frame of reference he appears small to those unfamiliar with Dimash. Actually Dimash is a chameleon as you will discover. He can present himself however way he wishes for the sake of the performance or the audience/country he is performing in. Note he keeps himself extra thin when he performs in China but adds a bit more weight when he stays in Kazakhstan for extended periods of time. And wow does his appearance change depending on his hair style. (LOL)
It appears you already watched his "Stranger" performance from New Wave in 2021 but he also premiered two other songs at New Wave after "Stranger". "Fly Away" and "Ave Maria" were performed during that same week. Check out these two and compare them to "Stranger". You will scratch your head at how different he looks in each of these very different songs. All three songs were written for Dimash's voice and vocal abilities. Stunning performances.

He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

You guys are hilarious 😆! This song is about a severely depressed person who has never felt right in his own skin. He sends an S.O.S. out there somewhere. He wonders what it would feel like (if it would be better) if he were out of his body, looking down from above like a bird. He struggles with whether to stay or go. In the end He falls on his knees and “cries “ in agony as the he finally lets go and “sleeps “.

He swims a lot under water to expand his lung capacity and with al this he's an humatarian. Everytime he's singing he lives his songs you can feel the connection. DQ = Dimash Qudaibergen
I wanted to share … Dimash Qudaibergen was born in Kazakhstan on may 24th 1994. His father is a Kazakh culture official (and artist as well) and his mother (is or was) an opera singer at the Astana opera … They have 2 younger children who are also musically gifted. Dimash started to attend singing and music schooling at the age of 5yo.. He has a classical formation and was offered a residence at the opera … He refused the honorific job because he wanted to explore different genres and avenues. He started to attend singing competition locally … and you will see why he eventually got to be renown all over Asia (that is your backyard if I am not mistaken) … Especially after his first performance of many on the Chinese - Hunan TV singing competition ¨The Singer 2017¨ … I am communicating to you the link to the specific performances of Dimash on that 2017 show. Since I discovered that you are inclined to appreciate music … I am quite sure that if you do not know of this guy … your jaw will drop … On first round of the competition … Dimash gets to sing a composition created through a collaboration by French Michel Berger and Canadian Luc Plamondon … ¨S.O.S. d`un terrien en détresse¨ (you could translate to ¨S.O.S. of an earthling in distress¨) … part of a 1978 Rock Opera production named ¨Starmania¨ … There were several singers of the song through the decades … The first one was Daniel Balavoine followed by Bruno Pelletier in the 1990s and in 2005 Grégory Lemarchal got to take it for another ride which was found on You Tube platform by Dimash in the early 2010. Dimash did not speak French … but he did undertake the composition in it`s original version. And performed it at different singing competition through asia. This is the explanation of the crowd reaction to Dimash presentation on the 1st round of the live performance … I red that the following morning of the first round of the Chinese ¨The Singer 2017¨… Dimash`s fandom grew by the tens of millions.

This is the first song I ever saw in 2017 (from Singer 2017). I didn’t have the benefit of subtitles provided. A vision opened in my head of me floating out in space, looking down on the earth from above. I remember thinking that everything is so beautiful from above. As I floated, a single white bird came soaring by to briefly join me and I could feel the freedom we both shared. Then I looked up the translation of the lyrics and freaked out so hard that I didn’t watch another video for two weeks.😂 7 years later, he still does it to me.
Both songs you have reacted to have been composed by others. It was his original composition "Unforgettable Day" that made me start promoting him. I highly recommend you check out "UMYTYLMAS KUN" (It's in Kazakh, his native language) from his 2021 Dimash Digital Show.
And just so you know, the videos don't do him justice. He sounds better live.

One thing about Dimash is you can’t put him in a box. Start a song and you never know what language or genre he will be singing. Rap, R&B/pop, Jazz, opera, broadwayesque, folk, Rock, only thing I haven’t heard is country 😂, Bass to D8. You never know what you’re in for but all of them done to vocal perfection

Dimash has everything. He is personally very generous and very humble. Vocally, he has an incredible range that seems to still be expanding. He has perfect pitch. He has a vocal agility that is well beyond anyone I have ever heard in my life. He fills his songs with emotion that is palpable. He has performed in 12 different languages. He plays multiple instruments at a high level. He is someone that the people of Kazakhstan are and certainly should be, extremely proud of. He is the best singer I have ever heard and it isn't close. He is a world treasure.
