How to Draw a Polandball Comic in... MS Paint | Countryballs Comic Drawing with AaronC14

Today, AaronC14 talks to us while drawing this Polandball comic about Britain begging to be let back into the European Union.
All this in MS Paint, nonetheless. While seeming like a simple program that doesn't have much going for it, MS Paint actually has a few interesting tricks up its sleeve that lend well to drawing Polandball comics. Aaron shares these with us while bantering a bit about the countries depicted.
Wiggly mouse-drawn comics where balls represent different countries. They poke fun at national stereotypes and the "international drama" of their diplomatic relations. Polandball combines history, geography, Engrish, and an inferiority complex. The comic series first became popular on a well known German image board int ze internetz.

Yay! In the only other countryball comic drawing tutorial they were drawing lines between the colors! I'm glad there is a countryball tutorial out there that isn't cursed!

If I can give an advice for underside shadows, try recoloring the white as yellow, select the shaded area with the Irregular Shape selection tool, pop it out, add the darker colors and put it back in the original.

why do you make the outline yellow and then make them black again? Is there something I am missing.

It's easier to see exactly where to put the black outline on top if the one underneath is in a contrasting color.

You can't really (but they're adding layers to paint in Windows 11). But you can copy the outline and put it next to the original, then you can select it and choose "transparent selection" to make it act like a pseudo-layer.
