The Monkey King in real mythology was enlightened by the Buddha after completing his mission and given the title "Victorious Fighting Buddha". Before that, he had to seek help from other Gods to complete his mission. How is he even comparable to the Buddha? Even though he became stronger after enlightenment, his power is still nowhere near the Buddha. He can't break, remove, or destroy the golden headband given by the Bodhisattva Guanyin from the Buddha, how is he stronger than the Buddha? Whoever can recite the tightening spell, even if the person is a powerless mortal will be able to defeat the Monkey King.
