The only fighter to break through S tier for now is Joker, he doesn't have immense range, cheesy moves but he does have his level 1 persona arsene. Even without that he's A tier at best.

Honestly "Generic Anime Swords man" has no meaning, at least ALL of them are separately unique and only 4 sword characters play similarity
If they have a unique playstyle I don't care what weapon they use. Byleth and Corrin suck because none of their kit is unique or interesting, not because of their weapon alone.

These lewd characters are just in the game because Sakurai just didn't fall in love with the game, he is a pervert... He put no effort in the final smash... ...
This is a fine example that the fan-service in this game is a bit too much. The first game had jiggle physics but the default clothing didn't and you could always change to whatever you wanted anyways. The problem now is that even the default outfits for the characters are Otaku fap material and falls to many anime tropes instead of being creative like the 1st game.
The main problem with these games are the extremely passive combat system. However, this game is an improvement over the linear attack toggling from Xenoblade Chronicles Wii's terrible battle system. So I don't blame you if you don't buy the game but the cutscenes are an absolute must watch, as the Xenoblade games have some of the best stories in video game history.

I was in the middle of my first Xenoblade 2 playthrough when this got announced, and the moment it did I started getting so hyped because I loved Pyra and Mythra, and I can say this much. I loved the ending too, I loved it so so much. Yes I did go from (The start) Leftherian titan to the end of the game in a matter of when the direct premiered to today. I don't see an issue.

Especially since people tend to drift towards content made by people in their general age range but you don't quite see them as real people, it's really sobering to not just realize these people have lives, but that those lives end. My first was Monty Oum (animator of Dead Fantasy and worked on Red vs Blue, among other things), and it's just a punch in the gut to realize you never going to see the rest of that story or more of their content.

I REALLY want Arle Nadja in smash. It may not be another sonic character...but hey, it’s at least more Sega representation. Plus even though they’re non-canon, Arle and friends have met up with Sonic’s friends before, and even in the new game to the Puyo Puyo series, Sonic shows up as a free update DLC guest character! So it would mean the world to me if we got one of the main protagonists of Puyo Puyo. You’ve got a few options: Arle, Ringo (Haha her name means apple), Amitie, Rulue, or Schezo. Maybe even Carbuncle could show up in Arle’s moves.
Speaking of unlikely things, let me list out some:

Having a bullet hell character(touhou) might be the most toxic/annoying but most fun character. The reveal trailer might make a TON of people mad, but when she comes out, it might be the best send-off gameplay wise for Smash Ultimate.

Honestly for me, as much as I love Pokémon, I don’t really think we need any more Pokémon fighters in Ultimate. Like with Super Mario and Fire Emblem, we already have a lot of Pokémon fighters. I want to see a smaller series get a new fighter, or even something completely new.
Presentation is everything: did I want the character? No. Post-watching the trailer, did I want the character? Yes, VERY YES.
I'm happy for Xenoblade fans but... please give us another Sonic rep. That's all I want
