Mr. Bixby played David Banner, a research scientist whose body chemistry is altered by a freak laboratory accident. When angered, Banner is transformed into a huge, green creature who terrifies evildoers as well as innocents. The muscle Hulk was played by bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno, also known as Mr. Universe - twice over. Height 6′ 5″ (1.96 m) 285 lb. Ferrigno was born in.
Brooklyn, New York, in 1951 and as a child suffered from an ear infection that resulted in permanent partial hearing loss. His films included
Hercules (1983),
Sinbad of the Seven Seas (1989)
and Frogtown II (1992). Lou has
additionally guest-starred on several TV shows including
The Fall Guy (1981) and
The New Mike Hammer (1984) and had a
recurring role on
The King of Queens (1998).

I meet Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrigno in !981, I never forgot it, I just had to sing this. one off my bucket lists, with no karaoke it was tricky, but I'm quite pleased with the outcome.
