Congrats Mimo. Make more videos with short stories. Actually, if possible, create a playlist with these stories. I think it's a great way to improve languages learning. Shukran. Greetings from Brazil.
Thanks Mimo for sharing and teaching us your language still learning until now and your the only person who made a video for all important words we need to learn for every day used😊
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you! Second story relates so much to me. My family moved to Egypt after finishing high-school in the States and since my Arabic wasnt so fluent, we signed up for the English department in college. Boy were we in for a surprise. The teachers didn't even know proper English 🤦♀️
Hello Mimo! I’ve tried my best with a second story, I hope that it is close too…(it was really challenging:) When I was little, about 13 years old, I returned to Egypt for the first time. I was very surprised by the teaching in Egypt. When I entered school, I had a teacher who taught me (lit. gave) English and later when I listened to her speak something in English I was always amazed and constantly corrected her English. She became burdened with me and, afterwards, every time I came to class she would throw me out and “tell (read)to me the same story” all over again (from page to page). In the end I couldn't go to English classes anymore, but I passed and got a grade on English because it is easy in an Egyptian school. Many greetings!
Excellent video. Very resourceful - it contains very practical vocab! You should do more of these on TH-cam. I’m sure a lot of like-minded people would appreciate them. Quick question/request… could you be so kind to give an accurate translation of the 2 stories you narrated at the end of the video, perhaps here in the comments or even better yet, in the description box. I appreciate the fact that you included the Arabic for both stories already which is great as I can look up the new vocab, but please could you also add the accurate English translations so I can know what they mean. I hope you could be kind enough to do this so I can learn more. Many thanks!
Thank you so much your videos are excellent! There are so many resources to learn standard Arabic however it’s quite difficult to find Egyptian dialect study material
@@EgyptianArabicMimo I understand more egyptian with Egyptian subtitles you made at the bottom of youtube. Thank.I look at the texts when you read the stories رمضان المبارك
I really adore your challenges and puzzles , so.... Story No1..... Once (when) I was walking down the street, I saw two (people) arguing. There were men and women raising their voices and then continued to fight down the street. I was surprised. After stopped arguing, they made a peace and in the end (eventually) left. I hope that my translation is close to your story:)
Hey Mino, thank you for the very useful video. But why dont we need here the word "elli" sometimes? Like: "Kan fi marra wa7id ELLI...." Its a little bit confusind for me when to use elly and when not...

Unfortunately, when it comes to teaching languages in Egypt, the system needs an overhaul.
That’s brilliant
In Italy we also start answering saying "Nothing" and then a lot of things :D
