You're welcome!
I use cami!
Great video, and I especially appreciate that you have listed all of the extensions in the description below the video so I didn’t have to rewind to find the ones that I want to use. I’m a subscriber to your channel, and I always find something useful in your videos.
Thank you so much, Abby!
Yay! I can't wait to use some of these extensions..tha ks for taking the time to add a timestamp...my top favs were, custom cursor, webpaint, insert learning, tab resize. You have been a lifesaver. Kudos!
You're very welcome, Indira!
I recently discovered your channel, and I must say it's the best teacher's corner on youtube for teaching with technology. Thanks to you my EFL lessons are more interactive and engaging. Plus, I loved the extensity extension! I didn't know such a thing even existed. Thank you so much!
Glad to hear it, Nicole! Thanks for your comment!
Thank you for sharing your videos! Great information!! There are so many tech tools out there and it can get very overwhelming.
Thank you!!! This has been such fun and an eyeopener! I teach ESL to first and second graders, so having a fun interactive class is a must and this is sooooo helpful!

Awesome! Thank you, Angela!
Awesome- can't wait to try these out and share it with coworkers!
So glad you found it helpful!
GAME CHANGER! I didn't know that Loom allowed you to edit your recordings. I have been redoing an entire lesson! Thanks! Equatio will have a learning curve if using voice, your example was NOT what they typed, but I hope this will help in middle school math when I create assignments. Great extensions that will make my life easier in the classroom.
Best of luck!
A great list with great tools to make existing tools even better! Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful!!
Your tips are so helpful! Been learning alot from you! Keep it coming!
Thank you, Melissa!
Great video! Thanks for sharing your insights. I will share your video with my school as we are still teaching virtually.
Thank you, Kathleen!
Excellent support given to all true teachers. We are happy to have people like you to help teachers with great ideas. Thank you verymuch sir.
You're too kind! Thank you for your support!
My example for the 2nd extension wasn't a good one as you currently aren't allowed to be in multiple breakout rooms at once. A better example would have been to open multiple Google Meet meetings in separate tabs as a way to monitor separate rooms. Hopefully that changes soon in Zoom, and sorry for any confusion!
Great list! Love loom and Kami. Would add Tactiq too - automatically transcribes google meets (and saves the chat too)
Simple and straight to the point. Great presentation
Thanks!
Another of your very helpful, complete, and clear videos. From a happy subscriber, thanks!
Glad to hear! Thanks so much for subscribing!

Hi Sam. Thanks you for all of your suggestions to help make our lives easier. I have also taken your course and it is awesome. I have a question about slides. Is there an extension that will let you draw on a slide as you are presenting? I currently use the scribble tool and just make the slide larger - not very smooth when I'm delivering instruction.
Hi Reba, you can "publish" your slides and then use the Web Paint tool as an end-around solution: support.google.com/docs/thread/56967723?hl=en
Always such great advice! Can you explain how you set up your breakout rooms in different tabs? When I'm on zoom I can only view one breakout room at a time, but seeing them all at once would be super convenient.
Hi Leslie, here's an article from Zoom about being in multiple room at once. In short, I gave a bad example here and should have used Google Meet when showing this since you can launch several Meet meetings at once: support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360001120743-Joining-multiple-meetings-simultaneously-on-desktop
thank you. I looked through the post, I dont wanr to send students to different meetings so I guess I'll have to cross my fingers and hope that zoom modifies their breakout feature to be more like Google meets. I did however show it to our administrative team and they immediately saw value in it. So thank you so much. You and so knowledgeable and helpful. Your videos have made virtual teaching so much more interesting and manageable for me and my students.
It's a lucky strike that I've come to your channel...great work Sir !
Really appreciate that, Souvik!
Thx for all those tips !
Happy to help!

You're very welcome! 😀
It is like a treasure box. Thank you sooo much Sam and keep going. I would like to know how did you put that loomie avatar in the video together with the lesson? You mentioned that you explained in one of the videos but I didn't manage to locate it.
Thanks, Vivian! Yeah, we took that video down because Loomie isn't available anymore, unfortunately!
Wow! Great tools! Thank u so much for sharing. I have a question. Is it possible to use two extensions at the same time? For example, I want to record my screen using loom and web paint at the same time.
Yes, you can definitely use Loom and Web Paint at the same time, but you wouldn't be able to use many of the others featured at once.
thank you very much for these helpful extensions
You're very welcome!
Wow! amazing i am gonna also add and teach my teachers to add these. Thank you dear.

I saw a teacher TikTok that shared a Google Extension that turned any web based article into a "podcast" and the students could listen to it, but now I can't remember the name or find the TikTok again. Have you heard of this?? This video and all your videos are super! Thanks for your efforts!
Huh, I haven't heard of that, but would love to know more about it!
@@NewEdTechClassroom I ended up finding it! Its Podcastle AI the site is podcastle.ai I haven't used it much yet, but it is pretty great and would be super helpful in so many situations!
wonderful tool. ✌️✌️✌️
Very helpful, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing some Google chrome extensions. I had done some preliminary research for tech tools, but most of these were new to me. I have a questions regarding the math extension equatIO. Is this an app in which students can also speak equations into a google doc? I can see it being helpful when students are providing answers via a google doc.
Equatio does have that feature but not sure if it's a paid feature or not for students (all features are free for teachers). You can see more of Equatio's updated features in this video - th-cam.com/video/sh_QPnY9H8Y/w-d-xo.html
Such a great help!!
Glad to hear it Eb! 👍
I'm not a teacher, but damn this was helpful for my 9to5. Thank you!

Great video! I like your channel. My question is: are these extensions also available in other browsers, like Firefox?
It depends whether or not the extension is compatible with Firefox. Some are, but some aren't.
Hi thank you for the infomation
You're very welcome! Thanks for becoming a channel member: we really appreciate your support!!
Thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
Excellent 👏👏👏 Thank you very much 😉
You're welcome, Jana! Glad you enjoyed it!
very helpful, thanks.
You're welcome!
Any suggestions for Chromebook writing tablet to support Web Paint. Glad it is a must have transformative for my virtual teaching.
Hi Shawn, hardware isn't my area of expertise, though I do know that tablets don't support extensions. Have you tried using it with a Chromebook that has a touchscreen?
To the point !, Thanks
You're welcome!
wow!! super Love your videos help me a lot.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! 🙏😊🙏
Any time!
I really appreciate your efforts 👌
Please let me know if extensions make slow Browsers 🐌?
Then your suggested extension is extensity. Isn't it?
And I found that the pined extensions also make Browsers 🐌 slowe too. Am I Wright?
Yeah having a lot of extensions can use up more memory on your computer which could slow it down. Having extensify will allow you to choose which ones are active so they aren't all on at the same time.
Awsome! Thanks a lot!
You're welcome!
Thank you for sharing...what application do you use to create your videos?!?!
Hi Kim, I actually put out a video about how I do it! th-cam.com/video/qgtBjdu_usc/w-d-xo.html
The software I use is called Screenflow if you're interested in checking it out here (full disclosure, this is an affiliate link, so The New EdTech Classroom would receive a portion of the sale if you were to decide to move forward with a subscription!): telestream.8bx6ag.net/c/2242743/352742/4900
big fan of you sir!
Thank you so much for your support!!
Tq for the sharing. Yes I must have it to make my lesson more awesome
Awesome!
Thank you so much.
You're very welcome!
Would you please explain how did you drag your face came video form lift to right and vice versa in video editing and if possible please do name of the video editor you're using for editing and thanks for making such a informative video.
Hi Rishi, we used Screenflow to make this video. The key is that you also need a green screen, which allows you to remove the background and put yourself on top of whatever it is that you're showing!
Hey! General google question -- how do I back up my school google drive files and docs to my personal google? For when my school changes over to exclusively use the DOE email and google drive instead of the school name google drive we have been using for years. I have already shared the drive with my personal google, but must I open every folder and make a copy of every doc to my personal so I am able to access it once this school drive is gone? So. much. work! Thanks :)
Hey Andrea! Use Google Takeout. You'll be able to use it to create zip files of all your Drive folders and then have them sent to you. Make sure you add all files that were created in shared organizational folders to your actual Drive, though, otherwise they won't get pulled out.
@@NewEdTechClassroom Great thanks. I will do that.
Best of luck!
Very useful Sam thanks to share this👍 Kindly can u share the must have extension for Google meet.
Thank you! I didn't end up making a Google Meet extensions video because they upgraded so many Meet features, but I'll give it some thought!
Sir.. It was an awesome presentation.Could you tell how we can make videos with sub titles
Hey Jijish! If you upload a video to TH-cam, it will automatically create captions for you which is nice. You can go in and edit them since they won't be perfect because it's done by a computer. You can learn more about it here - th-cam.com/video/rB9ql0L0cUQ/w-d-xo.html
I like the video, useful advice
Thank you, Elena!

Is there any extension for timer ?
Also, I would like to highlight an issue of using Kami is, if we are using this to do paper correction & on the other side, if students have it installed (both stakeholders using the same email domain), they will be able to see our live correction even before we release their scripts!
They can even edit our marking & marks too using Kami.
Is there anyway, to bypass this issue?
There are several timer extensions you might want to try out. Here's one: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/timer-for-google-chrome/kbajefidbakalojflbaojijekaomlidj
As far as Kami goes, that's something I'm going to have to look into. I'm working on a Kami tutorial, so I'll see what I can figure out!
