Yes, I like using TH-cam for finding different crochet patterns. 10 years ago I was searching the internet looking for a fall leaf crochet pattern. I wanted to make something different, something seasonal as it was Fall at that time. The search resulted in a number of links for videos on TH-cam. The very first video I ever watched was a Maple Leaf pattern on FiberSpider's TH-cam channel. It has opened up a whole new world, a crocheting community with endless possibilities of patterns, knowledge, crochet techniques & tips. It has been a wonderful experience for me. Thank you Sara for all of your wonderful videos!
Some people my age have trouble hearing a lot of videos. I can make use of MY volume by using my earplugs to lower the volume my hubby has to set volume!

I also click on more and click on transcript to get to a specific part of your video if I need to see a specific part of your project because I'm having problems with a stitch, beginning a new row or just need clarity. For those (like me, LOL) that can't figure out different settings that would help, get a teenager to help you, LOL

I find your written patterns and video tutorials to be very informative. I am a visual learner, but having that pattern is nice too! I like when I buy a pattern then learn that there is some kind of video tutorial for it. I do use TH-cam ALL THE TIME!!! I would be lost without it!

My initial thought about TH-cam was it was teenagers in shopping trolleys doing silly pranks etc. my youngest son kept encouraging me to try TH-cam. It was when I went to Pinterest it kept sending me to TH-cam for the videos . Now I’m hooked and I have learned so much from TH-cam. I’m very great full to TH-cam creators. I'm completely colorblind and mostly blind, so I have to mostly follow listening as long as people are descriptive and you are then I can follow along. You're doing great, and you are appreciated. I have been debating over whether or not to start my own TH-cam channel, about crafting knitting, crocheting life as a visually impaired person that we do the same things other people do. We just do them differently. I know that I crochet, slower and differently than people who crochet with their eyes, but it's a slow process, but I still get it done.

I love accessing TH-cam for crochet pajterns, especially if the written pattern has a video to follow along with. I had another question for you, Sara. How do you, personally, hold your yarn when you crochet? Do you wrap it around certain fingers? If so, which ones? I tend to either wrap the yarn around my pinky, have it resting behind my ring and middle finger and drape it over my index finger, or I wrap it around my pinky and weave it down in between my pinky and ring fingers and my ring and middle fingers.
@SaraSach So after you drape the yarn over your index finger, is the rest of and do resting under your middle and ring fingers before you wrap it over your pinky? Keep up the awesome videos. You are one of my favorite crocheters. Your videos and patterns always make me smile.

Hi Sara, going to answer a few of your questions, YES, I like using youtube, it has been a great help teaching me to crochet. If I have to turn the volume up to hear the video & still strain my ears, (some don't have the CC) I won't watch it...Your vids are fine, I sometimes have to lower vol on my phone, but not on my laptop. I LOVE that you offer video, written & pics, cuz sometimes seeing it in writing & watching the video, helps me to understand it better, does that makes sense? Hello Sara, the ways u explain so clearly in this video are the main reasons why I subscribed years ago. I not only learn new patterns but new stitches along w all the different ways that we can get to yr patterns. I've gone to Google and input ur blog website and your Playlist to get to a certain pattern. U have, and I hope u will continue to do all that u do to help everyone have a better understanding. Only one thing l need to address here. I am a late deaf adult who relies on "closed captions". Some of your videos r not captioned. I do have a setting on my phone where u can turn the caption setting on. When using it, it cuts off approx half of seeing your video. What is happening is I can see you in the video clearly. Captions box takes up half of the window of video. (Hope that makes sense). That makes it hard, esp if you r showing stitches or your crocheted items. I do realize not everyone has an iPad, laptop or computers. On those videos that are not captioned. I go to my laptop, and I can see the video and all of the video that u r on for that day. Pls don't stop doing all that u r doing on you tube. I have learned many things from your videos.

Hello Sarah! Nice video. I don’t have answers to any other questions in particular, but I wanted to say that is a visually impaired user of TH-cam, your patterns and others like them have opened up the door to crochet for me. Braille patterns are not really that available and when they are, they’re a little retro because it takes time to get things into braille. Thank you so much for all that you do. Now if we can just get the yarn companies to stop calling colors by word as in carousel, passion, or whatever, that would be very helpful to those who are colorblind and visually impaired. That is very, very annoying anyway have a blessed day and thank you again for all that you do.
Well when you have the volume on full blast and still can’t hear it that does get on my nerves especially when Everyone chimes in and says its only me. I have had this happen to me with the same person (not you I can hear you just fine) I have tried my phone, ipad, and tv and every video from this 1 particular person is always extremely low then when a different video starts I am deaf.

Clicking on the transcript is a great idea, I do the same thing sometimes! I have 3 teenaged grands who help me a lot!

Let's see, across my pointer finger for tension and than around my pinky.
