Keeping the mistakes in your game makes me feel like my table isn’t alone

Sometimes the arguments get really heated :) But I leave in enough for it to feel natural!

I've watched this 3 times, MKBH has to be my favourite PC I've ever seen

Very high quality visual and production. I'm so glad the audio is good. I'm sick of muffled Skype calls with 3 second delays. There's many mediocre actual plays but this one isnt

Thanks! We're first and foremost an audio podcast so great care is taken to make sure the audio experience is the focus. Not only the clarity of the voices but including descriptions of things where possible. The videos are secondary and created after the audio is edited in post production!

Been binge watching Ghosts and the Machine and it's so cool watching this - It's like a prequel where you get to see all the horrible traumas your favourite characters have gone through in the past. It's interesting also to see how yous've grown as players in Mothership since this video and your more recent stuff !
Cheers from the UK : )

Thanks, some things change while others stay the same :D
Before the campaign started everyone had their previous characters to choose from if they wanted (the ones that didn't die anyways), it was a great way to create tie in our universe.

Bang-up job on the production quality.
Great sound (mic sound, ambient music, etc), really helpful visuals (player-audio visualizers, map, and console/interface), and great pacing/editing.
Can't wait to tuck into more Mothership APs!

Amazing visuals, roleplaying and your players did an outstanding job! Has definitely given me good ideas for how to run my own game.

Really enjoyed listening to you guys - given me loads of ideas for when I run the adventure. Hope we get to here more from Duck, Brandy and MK. Would love to know what everyone's secret mission was.

Thanks Tom! , We talked a bit afterwards and the guys revealed their agenda's but I didn't want to include it here so we can return to finish the story :)

These videos are great! The sound direction and general production is very good.
I think the gameplay would benefit from more delineated turns - some way to avoid crosstalk.

Thanks Mono, this was our first ever game of Mothership so we were still getting the hang of how to work initiative. I hope you'll be pleased to hear us get better as you move up the list to our most recent oneshots! :)

It must be so difficult for players to not metagame in this module. The second any party finds that cassette tape, they are like, ITS AN ALIEN AND IT DOESNT LIKE WATER. it would be so difficult for players to continue to 'play dumb' like characters in a movie

    • @nwtbpodcast

We excel at being..I mean playing dumb! :D

I don't think you're super to take stress from a failed check. You only take stress from failed saves. I think.

    • @nwtbpodcast
      @nwtbpodcast  ปีที่แล้ว +3

It is actually all checks and saves in 1e! Also it's been updated so rolls of 90-99 are always considered a failure.

You're right. I thought the version I had was current since I just bought it this week...

I love the production of this show, but the players are constantly talking over each other and the DM and it's rarely to work together so it feels like it pulls away from the immersion a lot

That's just how it goes sometimes when playing at a table! At heart this is our home game and our first time playing/running this system :) I think we definitely improved with more experience since the first one.

36:40 Players who fish for mods every time they make a roll is tiring

The amount of arguing with the Warden is really distracting
